@dschons I saw that it has gyro! That's definitely something I didn't expect to see in this game, but it's very welcome, indeed 😀. How are the gyro controls? Do you know?

God of War Ragnarok also has gyro with throwing the Axe playing as Kratos. And while using the bow, playing as Atreus. It was awesome 👌.

Hopefully, my copy will arrive tomorrow! Just like Dead Space works for me. I'm looking forward to playing this on my LG C1 OLED with the lights off and headphones on. Playing horror games on an OLED display is the perfect combination 👌.

So, will I be able to upgrade my standard copy of Witcher 3 for PS4 to the PS5 version minus the DLC? Or do I have to purchase the DLC or Complete Edition to be eligible to upgrade to the PS5 version?

I'll play it on Gamepass with a friend. 1080p 120fps will be my preferred choice!

@Dishonored29 Exactly! 🤣. Sometimes, I envy my nephews who only play like 3 games a year (COD, Fifa, & NBA 2K). My 1TB didn't even last a year. I've been getting the Platinum for games to transfer them over to the 8TB HDD. But I like to have all of my games installed and ready to play at any time, so deleting and transferring games bothers me, lol. Same with my Series X. Constantly deleting and transferring games, especially with Game Pass. It sucks 😕.

21GB file size is good to hear. I have about 80GB free for this and Callisto Protocol. I'll be upgrading my M.2 to 4TB soon. 1TB didn't last that long...

It's not worth $60 to me. Besides, I have a stack of PS5 games I picked up from black Friday to keep me busy for now. I'll buy it after a price drop and hopefully the resolution will be patched to at least 1440p 60fps by then...

Nice to know I'll be able to play the Complete Edition with all of the DLC on my PS5 since I only own a standard vanilla copy of Witcher 3 for PS4. I have the Complete Edition for Xbox One on my Series X. But I'd rather play this on PS5. Unfortunately, Witcher 3 will have to wait until I finish Callisto Protocol & Crisis Core first.

Wasn't a fan of Final Fantasy back in the day. So I never played Crisis Core on PSP. I was going to pick up a copy a few years ago, but never did. With Final Fantasy 7 Remake being my first Final Fantasy game (which i loved), and this being a spin off of that? I'm guessing... I'm really looking forward to this and Callisto Protocol on PS5 in December! With this being a handheld game originally, I'll have to pick up a copy for Switch as well later on.

Well deserved! Looks amazing and so smooth on PS5 at 1440p with an uncapped frame rate and VRR. Especially on my LG C1 OLED. Got my Platinum a few days ago. Can't wait to see what Santa Monica comes out with next!

Looks like Crisis Core will be my big December game to play. At least Dead Space Remake and Resident Evil 4 Remake are right around the corner.

I don't like feeling rushed to finish games. So I basically use PS Plus Premium/Game Pass to try games I might be interested in and if I like em I buy a physical copy. Picked up a copy of YS 8 for PS5 so I can play it at my own pace. I'll do the same with YS 9 next year.

Missed out on the PS4 version but I picked up a copy for PS5 last month. I haven't played it yet but it looks like fun. 120fps support and 2 player split screen is also a plus.

That's fine with me. Dead Space Remake & Hogwarts Legacy will be taking up most of my time then anyway. Well, those and a few other games I can't think of right now.

I never played Crisis Core on PSP. So it will be nice to experience it at 4K 60fps on my LG C1 OLED. I'll be picking this up for PS5 Day 1. It will look good sitting on my shelf next to Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. I'll get the Switch version for portability after a price drop.

Great game! Not much of an upgrade over the PS4 version though. I didn't know it runs at 120fps, seems more like 60fps to me. Didn't see any Performance or Quality settings in the options menu. I missed out on a physical copy for PS4, so it's nice to have a physical copy for PS5. Hopefully YS 9 will have a standard physical version for PS5 as well, when it releases next year.

GOW Ragnarok is my game of the year! About 20 hours in and loving every minute of it.
I'll probably play Sonic Frontiers after I'm done with Ragnarok. I hear it's good and I haven't played a decent 3d Sonic game in a while.

Bought Control for Xbox One X when it released and loved it! Played it again on PS5 when it was a free PS Plus game and got the Platinum. So hyped for Control 2, Alan Wake 2, and Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes! Remedy hasn't let me down so far!

Looks like my copy won't be delivered today (PS5). Mabey it will show up tomorrow.

My God of War Dualsense controller barely shipped out today, so it won't arrive until Friday.

Oh well, back to Bayonetta 3 and Persona 5 Royal for the time being...

I honestly can't tell the difference between 1440p upscaled and native 4k.

I'm not sure about that because UE5 seems demanding. Most games running on UE5 will probably run at 30-40fps. But I could be wrong about that.

I'd like the option to have ray tracing and 60fps and not have to choose one or the other. Mabey a PS5 Pro will fix that?

At the end of the day, I can't complain. For $500 the PS5 & Series X are much more capable than I could have imagined. A big upgrade from my PS4 Pro & Xbox One X, that's for sure...

Put my pre-order in this morning from Best Buy. Already have the Limited Edition Dualsense controller pre-ordered also. Now I just have to wait until Wednesday and avoid spoilers. My backlog will keep me busy until then.

@KidBoruto Yeah, 60fps uncapped is so smooth with VRR. 1440p already looks great. No way would I choose 4K 30fps over 1440p 60fps.

I'll go with performance, high frame rate and VRR.
40fps is a nice option but 60fps unlocked is where it's at. I played The Last Of Us Part 1 at 1440p with VRR and 60fps uncapped frame rate with gyro aiming on my LG C1 OLED and it was glorious! Can't wait to play God Of War!

Still looks like fun to me and a smooth 60fps performance is a plus. My copy will be delivered today. It should hold me over until God of War Ragnarok releases next week.

I was expecting it to cost around $180-$200. So I'm not surprised. After finally getting an Elite Series 2 controller a few months ago, I can't go back to a regular Series X controller. It will probably be the same with the Dualsense. I've missed back buttons!

Figured this would come to PS5 also, since YS 8 is releasing next month. Already pre-ordered a physical copy of YS 8 and I'll do the same with this, especially since I missed out on the PS4 release of both games (have Switch versions)

I'll be double dipping on this for PS5 & Switch. Physical pre-orders are available on Play-Asia. I'll wait and see if Amazon gets it before I place an order.

Hopefully the detachable disc drive can be used with PS5's already out. If so, I'd buy one to use with my PS5, so I won't wear out my built in disc drive.

Guess I'll buy a physical copy of Kakarot for PS4, since it's only $20. I've had this game since release on Xbox and recently picked up a copy for Switch. I still haven't played it though...

Preloaded on my Series X thru GamePass. Loved the first game and so hyped for this one! I'll pick up a physical copy for PS5 later on.

Pre-ordered my physical copy a few weeks back and I like it so far. I never played the original, but I remember seeing it in stores back in the day. It's nothing groundbreaking, but a decent first person shooter that runs at a smooth 60fps on my PS5. I was surprised to see it includes 4-player split screen. Which is a plus for me. I can't wait to try out split screen deathmatch with a few friends one of these days...

I'm assuming it will be on Crunchyroll? If so, I'll definitely watch it. I'm hyped to play Nier Automata on Switch in October!
I didn't know Persona 4 & 5 had an anime. Added those to my watch list...

Bought the game last Christmas for $30 but I couldn't really get into it. Gyro controls included is great news! Now I have a reason give this game another shot! Hopefully more PS4/PS5 games will start to include gyro moving forward.

I'm sure this monitor is nice but I prefer to play my PS5/Series X/Switch on my 48" LG C1 OLED at my desk. Which cost me $800. After gaming on an OLED, I could never go back to an ips, LCD, or LED panel.

My copy arrived this morning. I purchased the standard edition from Best Buy for $39.99. Even though I have it downloaded on my PS5 already thru PS Plus Premium. Gotta have a physical copy for the collection. My sister wants to play it (she NEVER plays video games) so I'll gladly let her borrow it!

Looks like I'll be double dipping day 1. I loved RE Village on PS5 last year. Was thinking about buying it for Series X this time, but the Dualsense controller haptics and adaptive triggers are enough of a reason to buy the Gold edition for PS5. Plus i prefer to have my current gen games on a 4K blu-ray disc, instead of the standard Xbox One/Series X blu-ray.

I gave it a chance but couldn't get into it. Glad I got it on sale ($30) instead of full price. I'll probably go back and give it another shot. Does this update include gyro controls?

@huyi I'm probably in a better situation than most, since I work from home and my consoles are on my desk near me at all times. Plus I usually have free time throughout the day in between work to get a few gaming sessions in.

I agree, the rest of this year and next year are packed with games I'll be buying day 1. RE 4 & RE Village are kinda motivating me to get a PSVR2. But we will see.

To be fair, I upgraded to 90 days of premium for $15 to try it out. If I like it enough, I'll renew my subscription for another year...

@huyi Haha I'll try. It doesn't help that I recently upgraded to PS Plus premium. I already downloaded about 12 games that I'm interested in, and feel the need to complete those (Game Pass games included) before there removed from the subscription services. As a kid, I would have been amazed at so many different options of games to play at any given time. I'm thankful for it but sometimes I feel overwhelmed with so many choices lol.

@dschons Yeah, gyro aiming was added to TLOU Part 2 a few months after launch. I went back and played it again to get the Platinum and playing with gyro was glorious! Exactly lol, the first thing I did was upgrade the weapon sway fully in TLOU Part 1. I love RE7 but unfortunately I never played it in VR. I'm debating getting PSVR2 just to play RE4 & RE Village. I agree, gyro controls felt perfect in HFW. Hopefully more games will support gyro on PS5 because the list is so small compared to Switch.

That's funny, I just purchased this game from Best Buy for $20 a week or so ago. Now I see it back at full price, lol. Guess I should play it sooner than later, before it becomes a coaster 😂😂
