A philosophical question arises: Assuming there are 2 players playing locally, how many hands are actually used to play the game?

@HRdepartment Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. That's a really good contender for The Lowest Point of the Year award aka LPOTY.

Scientists were certain that the Mariana Trench is the lowest point on Earth but then Call of Duty did this so they had to reconsider.

@Oram77 Yeah, me too 😒But somehow I think there is a small possibility for it especially after the recent rise in JRPG popularity and rereleases for the past few years. Also, the 25th anniversary of the original FF9 release is on the 7th of July. It would be such a power move by Square to do a shadow drop in a month!

Final Fantasy 9 remake and Final Fantasy Tactics remastered announcements would be very welcome.

@Kienda Exactly, this should be an open space for everyone and it should especially be something positive which my comments intend to be: to bring out a laugh or two and to point out the things I think are bad in this hobby of ours.

And here's an anegdote: At some point in time I was playing Final Fantasy 6 which is regarded as one of the best RPGs ever made and my friend saw me playing so he asked me why I'm a playing a game about dwarves. I wasn't mad, but instead I laughed since it's just his point of view which I understand because on screen the pixel characters really look like that.

It's a breath of fresh air to finally see a realistic depiction of an everyday woman.

I was initially worried I wouldn't be able to fully immerse myself in the game but now my worries are gone.

@HRdepartment I feel you absolutely. The thing is I snagged Borderlands 3 steelbook edition for 20€ so in case this happens again I will make the same contribution for the 4th entry.

I buy some of the LRG titles but the shipping and import costs alone set me back for a price of one more retail game. The FOMO is real with that company and I must say that although it is nice to own some retro titles on a blue ray disc, they could really invest more in the quality of their products (they are good but not premium considering the prices).

I will of course completely support Randy and pay the full price when the game gets discounted to 19.99€.

@Kidfunkadelic83 😂😂 I save the sarcastic ones for Randy Pitchford articles but I missed the one yesterday stating that proper fans should pay for the games no matter the cost. The quote itself was so funny, I couldn't even bother to comment.

@PuppetMaster I feel you because I usually get laughed at when I say that I miss those manuals and nice front/back cover arts on games since I always browse through the manual when starting a playthrough of some of my older titles. For me it's a part of the experience, just like putting the disc in the console and letting it spin.

Regarding the PS4/5 games with manuals: they actually do exist but are quite rare. Limited Run Games tend to have manuals in their numbered releases (Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon for PS4 had it). But from my normal retail games, the only one I remember having a manual was Shovel Knight for PS4 but I guess it's because it was a retro style title.

If they managed to get an artbook printing, I hope they will restock the Lumiere edition and put it up on Bandai Namco's webshop to be available to more countries.

If I buy a game, I tend to buy its physical deluxe edition and not the standard one because it contains enough stuff to justify the price for me: the game, a steelbook and an artbook all tucked in a nice presentable packaging.

Collector's editions are too expensive and I don't have anywhere to put them since they occupy too much space where deluxe versions are the book equivalent of games regarding space allocation and bookshelf presentation.

Any news about the Onimusha 2 physical version release date?

I’d find that four out of ten people would love the game, but six would say it was a terrible game. For me, I think that’s a good balance.

It will happen eventually, but until it does my PS2 will do the job as it's doing now with THPS3.

Buying physical media to initiate a digital download is the equivalent of booking an Uber and then driving the car yourself.

In order to prepare for the upcoming Tony Hawk 3+4 remake, I've started a Bam Margera run in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 on my good old PS2.

Digital Edition:

• Thin air

Physical edition:

• 40€
• An actual disc in a package with great artwork to display

And that's without even mentioning the Lumiere edition and Collector's edition.

Randy is one of the most sincerest people in the gaming industry so there is no reason to not trust him.

I need to grab a cup of tea to calm myself down since I didn't expect this at all.

@personauser93 I actually emailed Sandfall yesterday regarding the Collector's and Lumiere editions and I got a somewhat vague response but they responded fairly quickly and very polite so it's better than nothing:

On a side note, I had the collector in my shopping cart but it was 200€ with the shipping and taxes so I hesitated. A couple of hours later it was sold out and now it's on Ebay for triple price. I actually wanted just the Lumiere edition for the steelbook and artbook but it's available only in Italy, Spain and Portugal so I couldn't buy it although it retailed for only 70€. I really hope that Lumiere gets restocked in Europe but at least my standard edition is coming today.

I'm very interested in comparisons with high-end rigs since I buy only the most expensive tech equipment.

I'll just wait for it to release on the Switch 2 to play at 60fps on the go

Oh, and I'm playing Kena: Bridge of spirits. It's such a great visual and audio experience of a game but the bosses are tough. Not souls tough but the parry mechanic must be executed so precise and I can't do it most of the time. But nevertheless, it's an amazing game. Even more so for an indie title.
