Silent Hill F Includes Multiple Endings, New Game Plus Mode for Subsequent Playthroughs

Replay value in survival horror games means very much to my kids.

I've heard that the writer for the game does this in a lot of the horror stories he wrote, where the stories have multiple twists and moments where the story almost resets and the protagonist has prior knowledge of what happened.

It's really cool and makes me excited for the game.

I have complete faith in this game, hence why I have on preorder and also a couple of days off work to play it.

Will there be any weird endings like the dog or ufo?
The trailers I've seen makes me wish that Sony focus more on the Siren series which they seemed to have forgotten about

Mostly everything looks good about this game but the combat. I hope it's improve when it gets released

Despite hearing all good things about this game, and enjoying survival horror in general, every time I actually see this game running I just don't seem to like it, but I cant pinpoint why.

Well this completely nailed as the best horror game of this year multiple endings/multiple playthroughs more perfect is impossible

@Rich33 Is it the art style? Or could be the style of combat they have gone with (kinda SH down pour-esque)

I don't know really - though it doesn't help that all the footage I have seen is in Japanese (I know some like this, but I thoroughly dislike games/movies not translated into English).

I dont really like the protagonist - the footage shows her overly scared and overly weak too often (at least in my opinion)... then in the next instance she shrugs off a blade to the face.
I know they are going for the vulnerability angle, and dont get me wrong the main character needs some vulnerability, but it feels like they have gone too far - where it does not seem feasible the character could survive anything even remotely as dangerous as a SH game.

The combat on one hand seems very, very heavy, and your character exceptionally slow, but the enemies barely react to most blows, then all of a sudden your character almost teleport dodges. That said, this is not unusual for some games where the combat works well - it just looks odd here.

Maybe it will grow on me as we get closer to launch.

That New Game+ part sounds ambitious as hell! I know we got similar things in the past but I don't remember this much for sure. Hope the game is good and fun so I have the desire to play it one more time for those aspects.

Also finished og SH2 for the first time couple of days ago so I am even more hyped about the new one.

How is the first game? I donwloaded it months ago from PS+ but didn't play it yet. Is it classic survival horror?

@Shadcai Sony didn't forgot the series that doesn't sold well. Hence why they released Forbidden Siren 1 on PS4/5 to test the water if the series has enough interest for a revival.

FYI. Forbidden Siren has 3 games and all of them wasn't a critical nor commercial success. None of the game has "Greatest Hits" label either which means they didn't pass the 400K-500K copies mark. Western audiences also hated the series because it's too challenging for them.

In order for Sony to invest in the series again, people needs to buy Forbidden Siren 1 on PS4/5 to show Sony they want a new game. But the fact Sony didn't even port Forbidden Siren 2 and Siren: Blood Curse for PS4/5 means the series doesn't interest the majority of PS owners. No interest = no revival 🤷‍♂️

@Rich33 I don't know if this gonna change your opinion about this game. But from the preview, this game has stamina gauge and also Sanity mechanic where players can do focus attack that slows time but it will decrease the Sanity meter every time they do it. Don't know what happen if the Sanity meter completely empty.

And on top of that, this game also has weapon durability mechanic. Your weapons will degrade every time you hit or block and it will eventually break if you don't repair them.

There are some interesting sounding mechanics (though im not usually a fan of weapon durability unless you have infinite repair (eg Lies of P), but in a game where you are meant to discard and pick up weapons all the way through the game it may work). The 1 fixed ending for NG and multiple for NG+ runs also sounds intriguing.

Thats why im surprised im not more into this / excited for it at all.
Its possible that most of the footage we have seen has been very early and things change, or has leaned too far into certain mechanics giving a skewed impression (not uncommon).

The new game plus is awesome news😎 I love when new game plus switches things up extra enemies or different layouts extra Areas bosses etc 🙂 remember resi 4 on PS2 when after doing normal m went harder modes had extra areas ya didn't give on wat or normal play through
