@TechaNinja On PS5, there was a chance the game would hard-lock while saving. Seemed to happen more often when playing from an external drive, too. Happened less when the game was moved to internal storage, but even then it would sometimes take 5+ minutes to actually save and get back to gameplay.

Love Grasshopper, hate online/multiplayer/co-op, sounds like a win so far.

Loved MindsEye but haven’t tried any of this Arcadia stuff yet. I’ll come back to it if there’s story DLC or a performance mode patch.

I was curious to see how long it would take for someone to paint this as a negative, and it was four comments!

I won't miss the save glitch on PS5, hopefully Director's Cut fixed that.

$17 for 250-300 hours of upgraded games sounds like a good deal to me. Especially the uncapped Kiwami 2!

I've never loved a console so much! So many games available that I'm interested in from all levels of developers, it's pretty much a smorgasbord.

@carlos82 Can't see why anyone would want to pay those new prices. The used market is still decent, especially for Series X.

Adore the franchise, but don’t watch TV. Maybe this could lead to proper new versions of the old games?

@Oram77 I came across that on the PS Store last night and wishlisted it as soon as I saw Atari and Apogee.

I feel like Oblivion Remastered was a very poorly kept secret. The actual release was kind of surprising, but I think most expected that it was in the works.

Of course that didn't stop me from buying it day one, so maybe it actually did work...!

@Rich33 There's definitely a big PCMR contingent here. PX is much more tolerable these days, IMO. In the build-up to Starfield releasing, it was an incredibly hostile and paranoid place. The multiplatform strategy really mellowed people out.

@JJtheTexan I always thought that would be the issue with this type of hardware: too console for the PC crowd, too PC for the console crowd.

@KawakiisaFraud Are they? And even if they do, as long as I can play the games I want on a Sony console, I’ll be fine.

@Cjam36 Pretty much. Small form-factor/home theater PCs have been a thing for years. SteamOS can be downloaded and installed by anyone, as well.

@BleedingDreamer RDR1 never got FPS Boost, there was even a big article on Pure Xbox lamenting that after the PS4 release was largely mocked prior to the PS5 patch. I used to have a Series X and a physical copy of the 360 version, you can’t trick me!

I have next to no experience with Western RPGs. My impression of this game and the first one from research and reviews is that they won’t be weird or over-the-top enough for me. I’m curious but hesitant…

@Lanmanna There are thousands of ways things can go wrong with PC hardware and software, especially when people are buying their own components. Of course consoles can have issues, too, especially the older ones like PS3 and Xbox 360, but modern ones have been quite reliable.

@Porco Yes, poll the site that largely despises Sony and the PS5 and of course you'd get a negative result!

@CutchuSlow Yes, SteamOS is certainly a more streamlined experience than the spyware masquerading as an OS known as Windows 11. I'm guessing it'll be $1,200.

Still PLENTY of BS in PC world, though! Motherboards frying CPUs, melting GPU power connectors, AIOs clogging, kernel-level anti-cheat, RAM shortage courtesy of the AI gold rush, Windows updates bricking SSDs, and etc.
