@TechaNinja On PS5, there was a chance the game would hard-lock while saving. Seemed to happen more often when playing from an external drive, too. Happened less when the game was moved to internal storage, but even then it would sometimes take 5+ minutes to actually save and get back to gameplay.
I feel like Oblivion Remastered was a very poorly kept secret. The actual release was kind of surprising, but I think most expected that it was in the works.
Of course that didn't stop me from buying it day one, so maybe it actually did work...!
@Striker21 “Physical sales are no longer viable,” while Black Friday deals are hitting and several big games are hitting record lows? Does Steam have anything similar to GameStop B2G1 sales, or trade bonuses? Or any kind of trade-in at all?
And aren’t most third party game keys stolen/hacked?
@Rich33 There's definitely a big PCMR contingent here. PX is much more tolerable these days, IMO. In the build-up to Starfield releasing, it was an incredibly hostile and paranoid place. The multiplatform strategy really mellowed people out.
@BleedingDreamer RDR1 never got FPS Boost, there was even a big article on Pure Xbox lamenting that after the PS4 release was largely mocked prior to the PS5 patch. I used to have a Series X and a physical copy of the 360 version, you can’t trick me!
@OldGamer999 On the bright side, you can experience crystal clear, smooth panning in 60fps on your Switch 2 and Series X (assuming you haven’t sold them)!
I have next to no experience with Western RPGs. My impression of this game and the first one from research and reviews is that they won’t be weird or over-the-top enough for me. I’m curious but hesitant…
@Lanmanna There are thousands of ways things can go wrong with PC hardware and software, especially when people are buying their own components. Of course consoles can have issues, too, especially the older ones like PS3 and Xbox 360, but modern ones have been quite reliable.
@CutchuSlow Yes, SteamOS is certainly a more streamlined experience than the spyware masquerading as an OS known as Windows 11. I'm guessing it'll be $1,200.
Still PLENTY of BS in PC world, though! Motherboards frying CPUs, melting GPU power connectors, AIOs clogging, kernel-level anti-cheat, RAM shortage courtesy of the AI gold rush, Windows updates bricking SSDs, and etc.

Re: PS5 Players Ponder Avowed Port as Xbox RPG Delays Its 'Biggest Update Yet'
Some of the clips I’ve seen had the worst NPC dialogue I’ve heard in a long time
Re: Red Dead Redemption PS5 Another Subpar Re-Release from Rockstar
I definitely expected more for my $0.00

Re: The Original Let It Die Is Getting an Offline Version Nearly a Decade After Launch
Love Grasshopper, hate online/multiplayer/co-op, sounds like a win so far.
Re: PS5 Mega Flop MindsEye Gets a Free Starter Pack on PS Store
Loved MindsEye but haven’t tried any of this Arcadia stuff yet. I’ll come back to it if there’s story DLC or a performance mode patch.
Re: PS5 Sales in Japan Quadruple as New Model Launches
I was curious to see how long it would take for someone to paint this as a negative, and it was four comments!
Re: PSA: The Original Yakuza 0 Will Be Delisted Forever When Director's Cut Drops on PS5
I won't miss the save glitch on PS5, hopefully Director's Cut fixed that.
Re: Ghost of Yotei Huge Patch 1.1 Out Now on PS5, Adds New Game+, Armour, and Much More
Up to 90fps in Ray Tracing Pro mode
Re: Yakuza 0, Kiwami, Kiwami 2 Get Discount PS5 Upgrade Paths for PS4 Digital Owners
$17 for 250-300 hours of upgraded games sounds like a good deal to me. Especially the uncapped Kiwami 2!
Re: Poll: Five Years of PS5 - How Would You Rate Sony's Console?
I've never loved a console so much! So many games available that I'm interested in from all levels of developers, it's pretty much a smorgasbord.
Re: You Can Buy a Fully-Fledged PS5 for the Same Price as a Less Powerful Xbox Series S Right Now
@carlos82 Can't see why anyone would want to pay those new prices. The used market is still decent, especially for Series X.
Re: Far Cry TV Series Officially Announced, from Creators of Fargo and Always Sunny
Adore the franchise, but don’t watch TV. Maybe this could lead to proper new versions of the old games?
Re: You Can Buy a Fully-Fledged PS5 for the Same Price as a Less Powerful Xbox Series S Right Now
@Boxmonkey I’ve read they’re pretty much producing them as needed for orders
Re: Are Shadow Drops the Future? Bethesda's Betting on Them After Oblivion Remastered Success
@Oram77 I came across that on the PS Store last night and wishlisted it as soon as I saw Atari and Apogee.

Re: Valve Won't Subsidise Steam Machine, Expected to Be Pricier Than More Powerful PS5
@LogicStrikesAgain Don’t forget about websites that sell stolen and cracked keys for cheap where the devs never see any of that money!

@nessisonett Being able to kill Conor McGregor was nice while it lasted

Lately I’ve had to double check that I’m indeed on PushSquare and not r/PCMR
Re: Here's Your First Look at Sony's Zelda Movie, Film Shots Revealed
@Jeaz "What's that, Link? You found a new temple?" nod

Re: The Lost Soul Aside Redemption Arc Starts in Tomorrow's Feature-Packed PS5 Update
Picked this during a GameStop sale, might fire it up after this update
Re: Rumour: An Xbox Partner Showcase Is Imminent, Will Be Announced 'Very Soon'
@Questionable_Duck I agree that a lot of commenters on PX also actively hate PS5 and want Sony to fail.
But seriously, the vibe over there feels completely different to me. NL seems to be kind of in the middle.
Re: Here's Your First Look at Sony's Zelda Movie, Film Shots Revealed
Link’s lines should all be grunts and yells
Re: Rumour: An Xbox Partner Showcase Is Imminent, Will Be Announced 'Very Soon'
@Questionable_Duck I barely see any PS fanboys here. It feels like 90% of commenters actively hate PS5 and want Sony to fail.
Re: 'Very Vague' Rumour Claims Sony May Scale Back PC Ports of PS5 Games
@Rich33 Despite what people here want to believe, Sony is not a fledgling brand.
Re: 'Very Vague' Rumour Claims Sony May Scale Back PC Ports of PS5 Games
Now Jez has "no idea what Sony is doing."

Not believing Jez Corden.
Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?
@JJtheTexan I always thought that would be the issue with this type of hardware: too console for the PC crowd, too PC for the console crowd.
Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?
@KawakiisaFraud Are they? And even if they do, as long as I can play the games I want on a Sony console, I’ll be fine.
Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?
@KawakiisaFraud I’m never going to PC no matter what happens. If consoles go away, so do I.
Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?
@Cjam36 Pretty much. Small form-factor/home theater PCs have been a thing for years. SteamOS can be downloaded and installed by anyone, as well.
Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?
@Oram77 Definitely the worst “console” controller I’ve ever seen. Can’t imagine trying to use that…
Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?
No point in it for me, but I’m sure it will sell. Not worried about it coming anywhere near PS5’s sales, though.

@StitchJones Yes I did, got it during a GameStop buy 2 get 1 free sale
Re: Red Dead Redemption 1 Confirmed for PS5, Out 2nd December
@StitchJones How does a free upgrade constitute a cash-grab?
Re: Red Dead Redemption 1 Confirmed for PS5, Out 2nd December
@windxtravelerx Playing natively on PS5 is usually always preferable to back-compatibility.
Re: Red Dead Redemption 1 Confirmed for PS5, Out 2nd December
Free upgrades for the win!

@Porco Yes, poll the site that largely despises Sony and the PS5 and of course you'd get a negative result!
