Patience, my friends. Japan exclusivity is the bigger hurdle at this point. Falcom has a good relationship with Sony and their series tend to sell well on PlayStation. Nintendo is most likely handing out some lucrative deals on timed exclusivity to prop up Switch 2's launch.

No hate here, I just don't do anything multiplayer.

The Pro is the best $180 I've ever spent.

Is there platforming in this game? I'm playing through the remastered Turok and platforming in first-person is not my favorite thing...

It desperately needs re-recorded dialogue and more than like 5 VAs. Not that they were necessarily bad (quite the opposite with most of them), but the same people doing all the voices bugs the hell out of me. One reason why I can't stand English dubs of anime or JRPGs because it's always the same group of people!

I remember Phil bragging about Outer Worlds 2 being Xbox exclusive, that aged well.

@anoyonmus Phil Spencer himself has complained more about third party exclusivity than anyone on this site, yet Xbox still does it!

Haven't fully finished the first Hellblade, but I've really enjoyed it so far. Read that the ending really didn't set up any kind of sequel, so the second game is kind of random in that regard.

The screen might just be LCD, but it looks much improved from the original Switch's. That plus the much bigger size and native improvements to all Switch 1 games via a translation layer means an easy buy for me.

But I was told by multiple people here whose lives were destroyed by the PS5 Pro announcement that Nintendo actually valued their consumers...!

Definitely looking forward to Japanese voice acting for both games. Did they re-balance all the stats that Working Designs messed with on Silver Star Story Complete? Got mad and almost sold it when I was getting murdered in the very first dungeon!

If games are announced too early, people complain about them taking too long. If games are announced too late, people complain about nothing being worked on.

I like it. Switch has been a great secondary console, but performance has left me wanting. Switch 2 looks to be significantly more powerful, and also looks like less of a toy than Switch 1.

Hopefully they fixed the save glitch/crash if and when this comes to PlayStation.

Is there such a thing as a pro-consumer corporation to begin with?

I'm also wondering where all those commenters here who said they were ditching PlayStation for Nintendo because of the PS5 Pro are and how they feel about these recent happenings.

Good, multiplayer has no place on my gaming world.

Switch 2 will fulfill the same niche for me Switch 1 currently does: JRPGs/visual novels/indies that aren't on PlayStation, and the few Nintendo franchises I like in Zelda, Xenoblade, Metroid, and Fire Emblem.

@UltimateOtaku91 Yep, new (and some old) exclusives coming to PS5 and what's already on Switch and Xbox but not PS5 will be upgraded on Switch 2.

Guess I'll look forward to beating up whoever this is in addition to Ronaldo!

They should still push the console, though. That's become the allure of PS Studios games. But I agree that story, spirit, atmosphere, and even art direction are ultimately more important than graphics alone.

I never buy full price to begin with.

5GB of RAM is pretty low, especially considering the Steam Deck and all the other handheld PCs have 16. Even the Series S has 10!

@themightyant Those upgrades were my biggest desire for the Switch 2. Might try Link's Awakening and Echoes of Wisdom for the first time now that they'll be upgraded. Same for Tears of the Kingdom.

Game fandom can be such a funny thing. Nintendrones make fun of all the remasters Sony has done yet squeal in glee when Nintendo does the same. Xbots say that consoles and exclusives don't sell anymore, but then say Nintendo is "different" despite them selling an awful lot of consoles and exclusives. PlayStation fans fret about Sony raising game prices due to lack of competition, but then Nintendo beats them to the punch.

Am I missing where it was confirmed that all digital games will be $79.99? I've only seen that Mario Kart game confirmed so far.

@piratemajima Who on earth said Sony's live service push was genius? It's pretty much universally despised and for good reason.

People were in an uproar about $69.99, but "Nintendo is different."

@DonJorginho Nintendo is "different," so they're allowed to get away with stuff that Sony would be excoriated for.

Supporting 4K, HDR, and 120fps is quite the improvement on Switch 1, but Sony and PlayStation have my heart and always will. Switch is a fill-in-the-blank console for me; I never "game on the go," and if docking to a TV wasn't available, I wouldn't have a Switch at all.

Interesting to see what the "Exclusives don't sell anymore" crowd says about this.

Multiplayer = no buy, regardless.

All I want is performance improvements for Switch 1 games.

I'm content with my $9.99 PS2 Classic version of this, but am glad it'll be more widely available!

We've definitely gotten a good helping of interesting, unique games. Even if they aren't the multi-hundred-million-dollar "AAA campaign" titles that people here cry about not getting multiple times per day.

Everyone who thinks streaming is the future hasn't heard of Google Stadia and how hard that crashed and burned.
