Makes sense considering that graphics cards and now RAM cost more than entire consoles.

Another issue this thing will face is being too console for the PC crowd and too PC for the console crowd.

I was told no one bought any of these ports and PC gamers don't want them.

Sony can do whatever they want, people will complain bitterly regardless. They put out a bunch of small, unattached games for PS4 and they neither sold nor reached critical acclaim.

@lazarus11 I think so? I don’t believe there was any kind of conspiracy against this game, but that’s not to say that online people are always honest. Plenty of folks like to have opinions about things they have no familiarity with.

@DartLOD Seems to me that a lot of people just went along with the memes instead of actually playing it.

I never heard of Leslie Benzies prior to this game’s marketing. I enjoyed MindsEye for what it was, but it definitely wasn’t the right way to try to launch a service platform.

Still excited about the redemption arc, though!

@Pat_trick I don't know if "vast majority" is accurate, but the point is these games can be incredibly lucrative if they do succeed. I understand why companies chase this area, even if I don't play any of them.

@Cherip-the-Ripper Those are the just the all-timers. Plenty of new games have had great success, it's just getting to a point where it's either huge success or crushing failure with zero in-between.

PS4/5 physical just isn't fun to collect, IMO. I do buy discs when it's drastically cheaper than digital/never goes on sale digitally or is delisted.

Except for Fortnite, Roblox, GTA Online, Call of Duty, Genshin Impact, League of Legends, FIFA, PUBG, WoW, Apex Legends, Valorant, Final Fantasy XIV, Honkai Star Rail, Destiny 2, and Rocket League. Not to mention Sony-owned Helldivers 2 😉

@RoomWithaMoose That’s fine because it isn’t a Sony game. PS Studios specifically aren’t allowed to remake/remaster/reboot games (except for Bluepoint which should’ve remade everything SIE has ever published) or make sequels.
