If you're a fan of LEGO, you're probably aware that the company has been looking to video games for some of its premium sets.
Thus far, the majority of gaming builds have revolved around Nintendo, although there have been a couple of Horizon sets in the past, of course.
Anyway, according to a LEGO leaker, one upcoming set from the company is a PS1 console, complete with "at least" one controller.
Posting on Instagram, user @lego_minecraft_goat, who often posts about upcoming LEGO sets, claims an original PlayStation console set is in the works.
The post includes the set's numerical code, as well as a piece count of 1,911 and a vague release window of December 2026. According to the post, it'll cost €159.99/$159.99, which is fairly consistent with other LEGO sets of this scale.
It's difficult to decipher how accurate this leaker is, but looking at the account's history, there do seem to be at least a few examples of accurate leaks.
Given LEGO has been moving towards gaming, and has fairly recently released a very popular Game Boy set, it seems entirely plausible that a LEGO PlayStation set will be launched just in time for the holiday.

PS1? Yes.
LEGO anything else PlayStation?
No.
I always forget how pricey Lego sets can be lol. The only Lego set I put together was the Tallneck from Horizon. They're definitely fun to do and look cool once they're finished, but they can be a little pricey.
I got a Lego Game Boy, and it is looking and feeling so nice! So much love in the small details and the manual, there were real fans involved.
The PSX could be a great present for dear friends.
I just finished a Lego gameboy and will definitely welcome a Lego PS1. It took three hours on the dot for the gameboy, the reason being that they do include the internals and those need to be built first. I'm looking forward to seeing what's inside and replicating a Playstation. Lego really hit the nail on the head with that gameboy design, it was a great experience. December is a bit of a wait but I'm game.
@Max_the_German Right? They did such a great job with the design and the feel of the set.
Do we have to talk about Christmas in March 🎄
My kid loves Lego. And I love Playstation. So I would probably buy this immediately
The GameBoy got me back into Lego. Since then, I've put together several sets including a generic arcade cabinet. I think they've figured me out because this is going to be one of those sets that gets me to camp on the website the night of release. The leaker also mentioned a Mario Bros. arcade cabinet. This is going to be expensive.
The PS1 would be pretty cool to see as LEGO. I remember when the Tallneck released people thought more PS stuff would get similar sets then nothing really came of that unfortunately.
I've been buying lots of sets for my son lately and I think got myself hooked. I'm sure "he" will love this one
@GirlVersusGame Love that!
That Gameboy one looks awesome and is a good price. PS1 set looks nice but is kind of pricey…
Best one they did so far is the Atari 2600, it even had cartridges to build too.
Looks great.
Thank god, it was time man, i am sick see mario every where man, cmon. cant wait for this.
100%. I’ll leave it to chance for the holidays since my wife loves to get me Lego for Christmas but if it turns out I don’t get it…it’ll be first on the list to buy myself. I got the Game Boy early last year and she goes “c’mon! Leave some for us to get you!” Lol.
I don’t even build legos. But i need this. I will leave it unopened as a collectors item. I loved my PS1. Still my favorite PS console.
i like lego but i don`t get this console builds at all, they are overpriced pieces of plastic with no use at all, at that point why not buy a used real ps1 and have that on display, i`m sure it will be 10x cheaper and if i want i can use it to play games too.
