Always a good time to get into PlayStation. Too many issues for me to get into PC (exploding CPUs, melting GPU power cables, widespread gouging and pending tariffs), plus re-buying my library would liquidate all the "savings" I've heard so much about. Not to mention my drastically increased electric bill.
@Fishnpeas That list includes stuff that only released in Japan, games where Sony was only the publisher in certain territories, and things from third-party devs like Namco, Capcom, Quantic Dream, Gearbox, and Mojang...
@Fishnpeas How many of those PS1/2/3/4 games were actually developed and published by Sony? Using PushSquare Complainers' overly specific and restrictive stance on "first-party," I'm sure plenty of those numbers would fall.
My main complaints about Oblivion were that 1) everyone looked like potatoes, and 2) everyone sounded the same/too few voice actors. This remake/remaster/rewhatever fixed both of those and left all of the ridiculousness in!
@OldGamer999 Some people, like me, find console technology fascinating. I wouldn't have even given Series X the time day if I didn't know how it's backwards-compatibility or FPS Boost worked!
@DonJorginho In my excitement, I failed to consider any of that. Are the bugs things like framerate or overworld streaming that extra power could fix? Or things like falling through floors and inventory disappearing?
@Juanalf 9/3 split is still worlds better than the first Switch's 3.2/0.8. The eShop will probably be the first noticeable UI improvement with nearly 4x the RAM available.
@Alps_Stranger It was weird because they dropped that patch out of nowhere and with little fanfare. Not even sure if they properly announced it, I read about it here first!
Bought it day one and have zero regrets. The native improvements to most PS5 games when it comes to dynamic resolution or unlocked framerates is more than worth it, IMO, not to mention the 2TB of storage.
@OldGamer999 I, at least, still believe studios and publishers deserve to get paid for their work. The best way to ensure sequels, improvements, and specific types of creativity in games is through financial support.

Consoles forever, PC never!
Re: MindsEye Really Does Look Like a Long-Lost PS3 Game
@Pat_trick Who's defending it? I (at least) am just saying it looks fun and janky.
Re: MindsEye Really Does Look Like a Long-Lost PS3 Game
@Toot1st I have to laugh at how people demand more AA games but hate every single one except Expedition 33.
Re: MindsEye Really Does Look Like a Long-Lost PS3 Game
Looks right up my alley. I'll have to day-one it if it gets a bad review here!
Re: When Is Summer Game Fest 2025?
I'm getting my complaints written ahead of time
Re: Hundreds of Thousands Living a Fantasy Life in Level-5's Grand Return
You people might just convince me to look into this! I don't have too much experience with "cozy," as I'm a serious gamer, but I'm willing to try.
Re: Chaotic Crossover Brawler Ys vs. Trails in the Sky Reveals Its Roster Ahead of PS5, PS4 Summer Release
Adol speaking just feels so wrong...
Re: Starfield Should Still Come to PS5 in 2025, and It'll Be in Its Best Shape Yet
The hype before this released was unreal. "Generation-defining experience," "Ponies will throw their PS5s out a window in anger," etc.

Re: Warhammer 40k: Space Marine Remaster Misses Out on PS5 for Some Reason, Exclusive to Xbox and PC
Hasn't Phil himself cried about third-party exclusivity deals? Yet here we are.
Anyway, the Ultimate Edition is still available on the PS3 store for $29.99.
Re: PlayStation State of Play Event for June Could Be on After All
"I hate everything about PlayStation and gaming in general, but I NEED these showcases to happen so I have more to complain about!"
Re: Talking Point: Does Sony Really Need Some Kind of Summer Showcase?
Why bother if all the self-loathing malcontents moonlighting as PlayStation/Sony fans will just whinge about everything regardless?
Re: Oblivion Remastered Sales Prove the Power of Nostalgia and Shadow Drops
My main complaints about Oblivion were that 1) everyone looked like potatoes, and 2) everyone sounded the same/too few voice actors. This remake/remaster/rewhatever fixed both of those and left all of the ridiculousness in!
Re: PlayStation Showcase, State of Play Event for May Appears Increasingly Unlikely
Looks like we'll have to find something else to moan about!
Re: Apr 2025 USA Sales: PS5 Ports Award Microsoft's Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones Huge Boosts
One would think that Xbox going multiplatform would greatly reduce the astro-turfing here, but it seems like exactly the opposite is happening. 😂
Re: Hellblade 2 Announced for PS5, Out This Summer
@Cikajovazmaj I think Pentiment already took that title.
Re: Sony's PS5 Indie Program Might Have Found Another Winner
Set in a museum with human trafficking as an overarching theme. Sounds unique and worthy of a cautious wishlist add.
Re: Hellblade 2 Announced for PS5, Out This Summer
Love walking simulators and really enjoyed the first game. Glad this is getting the DualSense and PS5 Pro treatment!

2 million non-paying users and 1 million paying
Re: DOOM: The Dark Ages Attracts Three Million Players, Dev's Biggest Launch in Its History
Sure was a quick recovery from the lukewarm opening mentioned in yesterday's article!
Re: Raidou Remastered Reintroduces a Cult Classic Atlus RPG in PS5, PS4 Gameplay Overview
I think this looks awful compared to the original. Plasticky, desaturated, and green shadows?
Re: Action Shooter MindsEye Continues to Have the Weirdest Gameplay Marketing on PS5
Still looks gloriously janky. Might have to day one this
Re: Ex-GTA Boss' PS5 Shooter MindsEye Gets a Tiny Gameplay Trailer, with Launch Just Weeks Away
Looks janky in the best possible way!
Re: Helldivers 2 Dev Breaks Away from PlayStation, Next Game Will Be Self-Funded
Maybe now they can make something single player that I can play...
Re: Xbox RPG Avowed Should Be a Much Improved Game Once It Comes to PS5
Voice acting sounded dreadful from the clips I watched back when it launched. Do any of the patches fix that?
Re: Gacha Spin-Off Persona 5: The Phantom X Skips PS5 for Worldwide Launch
@Ralizah A JRPG kart spinoff is something I never knew I needed until now...!
Re: Gacha Spin-Off Persona 5: The Phantom X Skips PS5 for Worldwide Launch
Waiting for the 8-bit pixel platformer Persona 5 spinoff before I write them off

Re: PS5 vs Switch 2: Full Tech Specs Comparison
@jorel262 Hardware improvements such as these directly lead to improved game experiences 😇
Re: PS5 vs Switch 2: Full Tech Specs Comparison
@darylb24 I see that now, it was originally rumored to have 5 which doesn't even make sense from a system integration standpoint!
Re: PS5 Upgrades STALKER Trilogy with a Native Version, Out 20th May

Re: PS5 vs Switch 2: Full Tech Specs Comparison
12GB RAM is a massive improvement from Switch 1's 4. Sounds like the CPU and GPU are much more capable as well. Exciting stuff!
Re: Square Enix Demands Bigger Games, Faster Development as Sales Continue to Slump
A PS5 port of Harvestella would change their fortune.... with me. 😇
Re: PS5 Upgrades STALKER Trilogy with a Native Version, Out 20th May
Hopefully paving the way for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on PS5 with Pro Enhancements and trigger functionality!
Re: PS5 First-Party Game Sales Will Increase Over Next Year, Sony Says
Alright, I can cross "Not actually first-party" and "Sony changed the definition of first-party" off my PushSquare comment section bingo card!
Re: Rumour: New PS5 Pro Update Could Give Frame Rates and Resolutions a Massive Boost
@Haruki_NLI Guess I'll be trading in my Pro for the Pro 2!

@ApostateMage I didn't know that either, now I might have to check the game out
Re: The Midnight Walk (PSVR2) - Dark, Melancholic, and Hauntingly Beautiful

Re: GTA 4 Could Be Getting a PS5 Port to Help Ease the Wait for the Next Game
@Alps_Stranger RDR runs at 60fps on PS5
Re: GTA 4 Could Be Getting a PS5 Port to Help Ease the Wait for the Next Game
Would be great to play a modernized version of this without the bug on Xbox and PC that makes it unbeatable.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of the PS5 Pro, Six Months Later?

Re: Chrono Trigger Remake Hopes Return as Legendary Dev Wants to 'Do Something' with the Classic RPG
Would be hilarious if the buzz caused by a mistranslated quote actually lead to this happening
Re: Expedition 33 Update Now Available on PS5, Nerfs Maelle's Broken Attack and More
@a1904 I've noticed that, too. Lots of comments from people claiming that "turn-based is back" despite it never leaving.
