I thought we wanted new IP and no more sequels, reboots, remakes, or remasters?

Good for them! Great to see games succeed to this level in the modern age.

I originally didn’t want to play because this was the darling of Xbots, but now I want to play it because it’s panned! Wonder if I’ll enjoy it more than MindsEye?

I've got two 6-packs of popcorn, movie theater butter and kettle corn. Think that'll be enough?

Anyone else have zero issues playing Bloodborne as is?

People keep saying this, but hardware and software sales are setting records. Sony's past quarter was their most profitable one ever.

Oh, and as long as graphics cards and now RAM are more expensive than entire consoles (SSDs are in the process of getting gouged now), I think consoles are safe from the PCMR fantasy.

Would be a very interesting development. I need to stock up on popcorn for the PureXbox and r/PCMR reactions!

@TheArt Not review videos, just straight-up gameplay without commentary. That way you can see the game’s performance, what it (mostly) looks like, and how some of the mechanics work.

Including F.E.A.R., I assume?

It’s odd that we’ve done a 360 and exclusives are good and necessary for Xbox again… It’s been nearly 2 years of the concept being decried as antiquated and only popularized by Evil Sony.

And will part of whatever this new Xbox strategy include rolling back the GamePass and console price hikes and actually having consoles in stock?

Acting like this was perpetrated solely by Hermen Hulst to personally spite commenters on PushSquare is a bit ridiculous, though. Much better hills to die on than an inactive studio closing, IMO.

@PuppetMaster Zero Dawn badly needed the re-recorded motion capture and lip syncs, though. Characters moved like ventriloquist dummies in the original

Facts are Bluepoint hadn’t published anything in 6 years and had zero projects in development all of 2025. More than half of the studio had already quit and they’d been winding down operations for some prior to the announced closure.

It’s just the next thing that memers and grifters have jumped on to validate themselves.

So a release date is given for a coveted single-player 1st party game and most of the comments are mourning the remake studio that hasn’t done anything in 6 years 🤣

Is the outrage just a blood-for-blood thing because of Bluepoint? I think it’s despicable to wish financial harm on innocent devs and teams unrelated to the core issue due to internet justice. The world would be a better place without that kind of idealistic malevolence.

Good for them! Shift Up is obviously in a much better position now following Stellar Blade’s success.

@Kierant202 Rather than looking at numbers on the internet, people should watch gameplay footage and play demos (when available).

@Kierant202 While that might be true, I have personally never mocked any game for being a 7/10. 5/10 is technically average but is treated like irredeemable garbage by terminally online gamers.

@OldGamer999 If you’re talking about review scores, aggregate sites, and subjective platitudes, I put zero weight in any of those and urge everyone else not to, either.
