Not sure how well turn based combat will work in a Yakuza game but if the rgg studio were confident enough to change things like this, must say I am really looking forward to how this turns out. For all the great games they have developed I believe they deserve this much belief in them.

@ShogunRok all jokes aside these guys do seem to know how to make great looking games, just watched about their mobile game called honkai impact and that also looks pretty good.

Hopefully we'll hear release dates for the games announced last year, especially lost soul aside

While being cross gen is fine, does it even matters considering that both ps5 and scarlett are gonna be fully backwards compatible and seeing backwards compatibility on xbone I don't think it's a far fetched idea that there will be improvements to game themselves while playing on newer hardware.

I don't know. I've been trying to get excited for this but it just looks so meh and without any personality unlike insomniac's spider man. Maybe instead of a team up game marvel should've tried another singular hero adventure. Well let's hope I am wrong.

Must say, Sony completely stole their thunder for the next gen announcement. Everything from noteworthy features to buzzwords, we already expected all of that for their announcement. Sony seems to be playing a rather interesting game.

Options are always great. Let all the ways people can game be there together and over time the one that people like the most will come to the top.

@Ludens92 I was wondering about this as well. I mean if the system is already backwards compatible then what's the point of even having cross gen titles.

Maybe they might go for some solution like the amd storemi, since it's amd licensed as well anyway, which is basically having an SSD and a HDD in your system and then based on how you use your system an ai using ml will simply be putting the stuff you use more on the fly. I wouldn't be surprised if that is indeed the case.

@wiiware the rumour doesn't suggests that they are working on a got game but rather a new ip, that being said the rumour is still not likely to be true.

This year really was all about rdr2 and gow. All the award they received if given the other way around would have been perfectly justifiable. A pretty good year for gaming when everything's said and done.

Push square should seriously rename themselves something like rumour buster or maybe gossip buster.

It would be difficult to look at everything(i mean just look at that beautiful world) and subtitles at the same but damn it i'll learn the language to play this game in Japanese.

@stevenfins this is a remaster of the original with an additional story line. So original + something more.

I don't mind tbh, if they wanna fully dive into the multiplayer aspect so be it. My only complaint is that they were not clear enough whether this was a traditional experience or not, especially at the time of announcement and also at the Microsoft conference, though I do expect there to be a way to turn off the PvP element.

@Shepherd_Tallon yes I can definitely see this as the reason, let's hope though that this ends up making the game go under the radar.

While I am obviously excited for all the events, the one I feel will definitely be the most fun and a highlight is devolver's "big fancy press conference".

But how will it actually work, especially the vats system in an online setting and then there are the Bethesda "features". I don't play online games but I must say I am intrigued, I'll probably never buy this but am gonna keep my eye on this one, just to see how Bethesda deals with all this.

@ShogunRok tbh to a certain degree I expect ps5 to be completely backwards compatible, not just with ps4 but everything from PlayStation's vault(at least I hope so).

I would be disappointed if nothing from the Japan studio was announced, if I remember correctly they said they were going in development for several projects last year around this time, right? Maybe its a new legend of dragoon or even something related to dark cloud, well a man can dream.

I've never understood this argument against video games as an art. A good painting is an art, a good song is an art, a good movie is an art, a good book is an art but for some reason something that can can have all these things plus something more is not art. That's like saying playing piano is music, playing guitar is music, playing drums is music but playing all these together in a systematic way as an orchestra is not music.

Some pretty obvious feeling stuff but I think that it will probably launch in 2020, even 2019 feels a bit too early so I expect an e3 2019 announcement, more details at psx 2019 then a 2020 launch.

I think that there should should be a way for newer gamers to be able to enjoy the older games, I don't care if that happens through these remasters or backwards compatibility on consoles. Gamings history can be fascinating so everyone should be able to access it.

Looks gre8 but tbh a lot of current games do and come on its rockstar it will look good but let's hope the story and characters are as good as it looks.

Finally, been waiting for a complete edition for so long.

Who cares if that new character is trans or not, is she is trans so what, if the main character is surprised so what, if the atlus adds something new to the mix instead of just releasing the same game as the last time what's the problem especially since we can play the original version anyway. Its just a story, a game they can portray the characters however way they want its their right.

If there are people who know how to do remasters properly they are atlus.
