SE has been one of those companies that just feels so out of touch with these bizzare decisions be it releasing games in a way that they caniballise each other or be it just insane expectations for games and not understanding the market for them.
Honestly if Sony does plans to acquire them, it's better to wait for these blockchain games to crash and burn first and then pull the trigger.
If this true then what's the point of having backwards compatibility with ps4. Instead of working on remasters and whatnot for games that people can't play on PS5 they are wasting resources on tlou and hzd.
Truly bizzare decision making from Sony. Just how many own bad decisions are they gonna make. So disappointing.
Whatever man, just be more transparent. We have know idea what's going on, no presence at any events, no communication. This is what is starting to annoy me. No news then a bunch of worrying stuff followed by reassurances and the cycle continues. Show don't tell works the best you know.
Isn't it good though, just show Sony that we have zero interest in nfts. They have been pretty willing to listen to what people want and change directions on stuff like this recently.
@sonicmeerkat If this was the ps1 game running on an emulator on ps5 then sure I could understand but if it is a port and/or remaster you're releasing of a game at least make sure it works properly.
True, such a far cry from the early days of ps4 as well. While I don't think that Jim is running the company badly or anything, this is definitely an area that has taken a complete nosedive.
@get2sammyb the thing is aren't high quality assets created anyway. Those assets are then optimised into several lods. I think that removing of extra work of creating the lower quality assets was a big target for ue5.
Honestly very middle of the road, apart from the few minutes in the end. Some trailers like the eve game and extraction were unnecessarily long. In a vacuum this was a good show but considering that Sony has been radio silent for most of this time it was a little underwhelming. Insomniac though, they have been on complete fire.
Was not going to buy either right now anyway, though this has made the whole next generation more intriguing and I look forward to how it all unfolds. Will consider either in like an year or two, still plenty of life left in my trusty old PS4.
I think it's a mistake that Microsoft are launching the series s as a diskess console, because if they really try to sell it in regions where the low price might be more appealing, those regions also tend to be more of a physical buying regions as well. I had hoped that series s had a disk drive that would have made it a no brainer tbh.
I don't get it though, why? I understand releasing a version with switch content but just a direct port on a system that already has the game. Just what's the logic behind this apart from of course pure laziness. All it does is confuse people that too on one of your biggest franchises.
Seems like they have assembled a dream team of sorts, ashraf Ismail the director of black flag and origins, Darby mcdevitt the lead writer of revelations and black flag and now Jasper and Sarah, couple that with the remark that they are trying to mix and match the old and new of assassin's creed definitely results in me looking forward to this.
To all the people being hyped up for a new pop game ever since that domain registration, there is a better than good chance that it is fake since Unisoft registrar is gandi sas while that one's registrar is godaddy coupled with the fact that that domain has a status of client hold meaning it's not paid for so......you know probably some prankster.
I didn't planned to buy the ps5 day 1 anyway, so depending on how Sony approaches the porting to pc, i.e. if it's like a set period of time before they release on pc or maybe the very idea is still being tested and if doesn't pans out well they will just scrap it. Who knows at this moment but I don't mind the move itself.
What I am more uncertain about is the overall move towards the more subscription based future we seem to be moving, the reason I brought this up is because it makes sense for Sony to try to bring their games to pc to make psnow more competitive with gamepass. I like the whole play any game you want but at the end of the day I wonder how it's gonna affect the state of game preservation as well as the fact that a pretty part of the world simply can't take advantage of this right now.
So whatever happens right now I have a wait and watch approach to this all.
They will have to change the look of the boxes somewhat though, so as to not confuse the general customer and if it's through going black, I would be fine.
To anyone thinking that the lightbar and whatnot are back, this is not a design patent, in other words the focus is not the outer design of the controller shown, rather it is about the specific functionality being talked about, that design is just used as an example.
I don't get it, just what is bethesda thinking here, do they seriously think they have enough clout to charge this much for something like this. It's almost as if they want to create another controversy just because it's been relatively quite for a while, like a crazed masochist.
2020 is shaping up to be huge for gaming, not only on software side with all these awesome games coming out but also on the hardware front for basically all platforms. Can't wait.

Re: Japanese PS5 Hardware May Be Being Sent Overseas, Explaining Soft Software Sales
I feel like part of the sales might also be due to upcoming games like ffxvi. Sort of like a pre buying.
