I’ve been reading how buggy it is too. Obviously CDPR just couldn’t have another delay at any cost? I can only imagine how much work went into this game so hopefully it all works out whenever that may be. Not looking like release day though unfortunately.

Ok so slightly annoying but not too bad. I don’t think I can let this game pass me buy as it looks too damn good so I’ll jump in at some point.

This is really interesting and is totally me. I play for an hour or so after work and a bit at weekends. I can’t stay up until the early hours anymore as I’d be useless at work. But sometimes I can not play for a few weeks and totally forget what I’m doing in a particular game so if this works well then it’s great for me.

Don’t you lose everything you’ve collected if you die since your last checkpoint and it can be tough to get to that next checkpoint? Because I think that would really get annoying!

@KPraj I know and I did say a ‘bit’ of a broken mess. Also Push Squares review of it on the PS4 said they couldn’t go 5 minutes with a bug. That’s bad. How did that get past testing and someone said “yes that’s good to go!”. Anyway have fun with it. Hopefully this patch fixes most of the issues

This is ridiculous. What will the future be... Assassins Creed PS4 review, Assassins Creed PS5 review, Assassins Creed patch 5 review? Totally unacceptable. Personally I don’t care as I’ll buy it when it’s practically all done and patched up like I did with Drive Club but I feel sorry for kids or indeed anyone else who were dying to buy this as soon as it came out and it’s just a bit of a broken mess. That’s really not “AAA” at all is it?

@get2sammyb totally gutted about designing a rollercoaster being a nightmare to the point that you gave up. That was something I loved to do most on the original Theme Park. Why is it so difficult? I’m really up for this but that’s a big blow for me. I’ll certainly try and build one anyway!

This is great. Really hoping VR doesn’t get left behind for PS5. I don’t think it will but Jim Ryan said PSVR 2 is definitely not happening in the next few years plus from what I understood there will be no next gen PSVR 1 games either. Bit disappointing.

@carlos82 I get what you are saying and 90-95% of the time I’ll be playing on my PS5 and 4K TV in the front room but if I’m bored in bed and/or other people are sleeping then I can just play a bit in bed either late at night or early in the morning through my PS4. The games won’t look bad by any stretch just not in their full glory obviously. I just think it’s a neat and handy addition to have.

Ooo I’m considering putting my PS4 Pro in my bedroom when my PS5 takes over the front room. So does this mean I can play my PS5 in bed whenever I fancy through remote play? That would be amazing if so! So excited now either way. It’s nearly here!

This TV apparently does everything we need for PS5 too - LG OLED55B9PLA - the ‘55’ in the middle is the screen size. About £1000 so it seems. It’s hard to keep up with TV’s though they are getting that good so they will obviously keep coming down in price

I watched about 5 seconds before thinking - let it all be a surprise on November 19th. Same goes for unboxing videos. It’s less than a month off. I can wait! ish...!

@get2sammyb regarding what you said about it’s alarming still learning new things a month from launch - I love it! I was always, always buying a PS5 as a ton of other people were too so I think getting more and more teasers on the home straight leading up to launch keeps the hype going. No doubt there’s more to come as well!

I feel totally pissed at Sony. It’s taken months to get a price and release date out of them (understandable on some level but still). So they revealed it last night and I went to bed as I was up early for work. I wake up to find out UK preorders appear to have sold out everywhere. Cheers for that. Does that mean I can still get one for release date? Does it mean I can get one for Xmas? Does it mean I can even get one this year? Will preorders come back online? That fact that I’m not sure on any of these questions is ridiculous.

£449 for UK with disc drive. That’s me happy 😊 - day one purchase if possible!

Obviously no game is truly a 0.3 but I do genuinely like the way Metacritic gives users a collective platform to vent genuine issues/make themselves heard when being ripped off after spending hard earned money. TLOU 2 bombing is completely different. It was impossible for users to have even completed it 12 or however many hours after release. I go by critic reviews generally but user reviews can highlight real anger such as mentioned here and not simply disagreeing with the story as in TLOU 2.

PSVR 2 having wires is absolutely not ok. I feel like I have to solve a complex maths problem every time I use my PSVR. I haven’t used it in months which is a shame as it’s great. Don’t forget wiring in the headphones too. I just can’t be bothered. Wireless headset and wireless headphones syncing automatically would be a game changer for me.

The comparisons between the actors and their characters in Detroit Become human is crazy too. Especially Marcus.

I’ve not watched the glitches video as I’m only 6 hours in and don’t want to risk seeing potential spoilers but I did try and climb a ledge once with Ellie and the screen went weird and she then appeared to fall about 50 foot into water (there was no water around). Very weird! Nothing before or since that though. It’s been incredible as expected.

I’ve never really got COD multiplayer. Who not have everyone up to a certain rank playing together and you only play better players when you rank up? That way at least you only play the best players when you have unlocked the best guns etc. Baffles me why it’s not staggered.

Can’t wait to have a blast at Fall guys though.

£54.99? For digital? Seriously no thanks. I can already get a physical copy £10 cheaper and I’m just finishing revisiting TLOU remastered.

I own NBA 2K20 and Rise so that’s a bit disappointing. I’d have let them off if they threw in a PSVR game which I thought they would. I’ll give Erica a go though.

The Laymen Gaming YouTube channel just tweeted and made me laugh - “shout out to all the speed runners who were able to finish TLOU part 2 in around an hour and post your review score” 🤣

Giving a game a bad review because the story didn’t play out the way you would have liked? Unbelievable but as others have mentioned hardly surprising. Naughty Dog had to come up with a new story and not just have more of the same. I still can’t wait to play it.

@get2sammyb yeah the embargo I know. Been looking forward to the reviews. Hopefully it will be worth replaying too In the future. I’m replaying TLOU remastered now whilst waiting for this.

By the way how did Sony keep this under wraps? Seriously. The iPhone get’s super accurate leaks every year (mostly aided by patents) and I have not seen one leak resembling this design. Awesome. Nobody saw the DualSense design coming either.

If Sony’s intent is to be bold and try new things (which started with the DualSense) then I’m with them all the way. I also kinda like it.

I think it’s been slightly forgotten that a major draw of the first game was the development of the relationship between Ellie and Joel over the course of the game. Great storytelling. If this is all about hatred (which Druckmann quite clearly says that it is) and Ellie just constantly bludgeoning people is that going to be to everyone’s taste? It will obviously be amazing graphics with fantastic mechanics. No doubts there. I can’t wait for it personally but it will be so interesting to read all the reviews. You can’t just slap a game with a 10 or 90%+ purely due to unbelievable expectation..

It’s great for VR and the move controllers. Once finished playing just hold the PlayStation button on both controllers at the same time. Takes no time. Really useful 👍

I did actually learn a lot from this (technical details I’ll never need to know if I’m honest!) but instead of a deep dive maybe we all wanted a fun splash around in the mud where we see some new games and examples of new tech. PR disaster in my opinion. I watched like 40 minutes of this then literally had to turn it off. Give a presentation aimed at developers TO developers. Not hype up the whole world then bore them to tears with a technical lecture. I will buy this console anyway but how cool would it have been for Sony to blow our minds first then do the technical jargon second.

I’m still trying to deal with the fact that my PS4 Pro I bought about 3 or so years ago came with more internal storage then next gen consoles that aren’t even out yet..

is this a Sony tactic linked to the PS Store? I bought heavily reduced games including Detroit: Become Human, Bioshock Collection, and a week or so ago Shadow of the Colussus. Annoying. I did get Nioh though and Firewall Zero hour VR recently which I didn’t have. Another VR game this month would have been good

Bit short wasn’t it? As soon as you start getting excited it’s over. I remember showing my mates who don’t even own VR yet the Blood and Truth trailer which is twice as long at 1 minute and they loved it. I absolutely love montages but do it properly!

It could be in absolutely any font, Chinese symbols even and I’m still buying it. Just show us more games already!

I got stuck on a level due to tracking and haven’t played it since. It’s all fine until I have to move left to avoid a wall and it all goes wrong. Is there anyway to put it on easy or anything else? It’s a shame I simply can’t play past this level on campaign 😔
