The Last of Us: Part II is one of the most polished games we’ve ever played – except when it isn’t! Look, any interactive software is susceptible to bugs and glitches, and the Naughty Dog sequel is no different. In this video, we’ve compiled some of the silliest moments from Ellie’s sophomore adventure, but keep in mind there may be some very minor spoilers within.
Did you encounter any equally amusing bugs during your playthrough of this devastating follow-up? Try not to cry (with laughter) in the comments section below.

It's always nice to see teams like Naughty Dog are only human, but I have to take my hat off to them, because TLoU2 was a technical masterclass.
Am I the only one that didn’t experience a single bug in the game?
I’ve done a full 30 hour playthrough and another 10 hour to get the Platinum, without a single bug or hiccup. Lucky I guess!
@Jacko11 I never had any bugs either through an entire play through.
@Jacko11 Not really, I am pretty sure 99% of those glitches can't be replicated. Meaning the people who got them are unlucky and wouldn't be able to do it again even if their lives depended on it.
I didn’t experience a single bug either haha.
Never experienced a glitch with TLoU2, but the bears in Ghost of Tsushima seem to launch people 100 meters.
I only had one in my ~40 hours of playtime and it only lasted about a second. Granted, it was enough to get me killed, but that's what checkpoints are for.
I’ve not watched the glitches video as I’m only 6 hours in and don’t want to risk seeing potential spoilers but I did try and climb a ledge once with Ellie and the screen went weird and she then appeared to fall about 50 foot into water (there was no water around). Very weird! Nothing before or since that though. It’s been incredible as expected.
@Jacko11 no, I played it through twice, and no a single issue for me either.
@lacerz I would actually pay extra to see that in-game. PMSL.
I encounter 2 glitch, one in the early part of the game where's dina walk to the top of some tree, and one bug in the boat part of the game where ellie body suddenly empty and I have to reload the game because I don't want to play with ghost version of ellie, lol.
RDR2 and platinum pending backlogs aren't allowing me to start my 2nd playthrough of this masterpiece. I will soon though. I never thought I'd sympathize with the supposed villain. Just like RDRII it's the charm of both games, Dutch Van Der Linde was despicable in the first, then in II his charisma and charm makes you feel otherwise.
These must have been pretty rare, I didn’t encounter a single bug start to finish
I had to replay the first two hours because of that horse glitch. Luckily it happened early, but didn't encounter any ever again.
i played through 2 times so far - no glitches.
I played at launch. There was a few minor glitches. I’ll take a broken game over a game with such a terrible story
@lacerz One thing I noticed in GoT is that the scripting for a lot of the encounters doesn't start until well after you can see them. Many times I saw Mongols and a bear just standing there off in the distance, like extras waiting for the 'action' call until I got closer, at which point they started fighting. It was quite amusing.
As for TLOU2, I went through it twice and didn't experience a single glitch.
No bugs or glitches for me. Runs perfect.
The game itself proved they aren’t perfect!
My game glitched when I arrived at the first open aren. I constantly fell through the map and eventually had to restart the game.
I’ve actually had a glitch on GOT with the broken arms
This is the problem that made me have to restart the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULWd_s7WIaM
Bug free for me. Ran superbly.
This game in general proves ND isn't perfect
@stefan771 Lmfao, yeah, okay 😂
Like others I never encountered a single bug, but these are brilliant. Joel swimming through the air probably my favourite 😂
I enjoyed the commentary during the vid, very amusing. As for the game, played through it twice so far, and once I got that see through the wall in to the void thing, but it only lasted for a second. I thought it was my PS4 overheating!
@SirAngry Yeah bet those 12-hour work shifts for devs really made the game a breeze for players
@loki192 yeah, and I know all about crunch thanks very much. It's been a part of the industry since it began. Just go back to the original Devs at Atari being expected to churn out entire games in a month. It's a culture that is sadly hard baked into the industry, and quite frankly the majority of consumers of games do not care about people like me having to pull 12 hour days... which is why I'm now freelance.
Just imagine abby going through the walls wasn’t a bug and that was how she actually runs into the rat king, lol she’s so shook she actually checks out of reality to deal with it.
