@SuntannedDuck2 the whole thing with games like Yotei , ect , is how fast the game not only boots up , but even fast travel is instant. that's the ssd and how fast it can read data. i'm so used to how fast the ps5 loading times are , i booted my ps3 up and was playing a game and i thought it was frozen because of how long a first part game would take to boot up.

@Vladspartan i mean between the ps3 and ps4 was 7 years , and ps4 to ps5 was 7 years if the ps6 comes out in 2027 thats 7 years after the ps5 came out.

@carlos82 honestly outside of the rumored handheld i can't really see a use for it , but like every one said , it would make it run better on a handheld , so it mostly means it fuels to the handheld rumor.

@PuppetMaster i know downpour was looked down by some back then but i actually enjoyed it , i found that it gave a different perspective of the series.

interesting , i'm guessing this could mean the next horizon game is aiming for a release date in 2027 possibly a ps6 launch game.

i can't wait , now all we need is Corey to announce the project he's been working on for years.

having a genre game is one thing , making it a strait up copy is another lol. i mean they even advertised it as a strait up copy. they didn't even hide it either.

3 and 4 were great , it wasn't a copy of gta it was its own game , i didn't get that far in the new one but i had bought it when it was really cheap.

i was waiting for until dawn to go on sale but this also works. and i loved tekken 3 so much so can't wait to play that again.

@Propaperpusher if you can get the 3d ps tv i would highly recommend it , i played a few games in 3d it was pretty cool , pretty ahead of its time back then , playing killzone 3 in 3d was prob the best imo. honestly if there was one item i wish they would revisit would be making another one of these tv's but in 4k for the ps5/ps6.

@Oram77 i hear you on that. but i'll always have a soft spot for the ps3 , hell i even bought the 3d ps3 tv , randomly i'll boot it up and play a game for the memories , i think i have a bunch of games i never finished as well.

@Oram77 the only bc the ps6 is going to have is with ps4 and ps5.

@Giberaltor while that would be great , its never going to happen , i've given up on that pipe dream a long time ago. also a lot of ps3 games didn't age as well as you think.

between bluepoint , nixes , they should be using these studios or even sony bend to remaster/remake ps3 games imo. series like restance , infamous , killzone even the rachet and clank games could benefit from modern day remasters.

@nessisonett honestly it comes to a point some one wants to move on and do something else , its very common in the gaming industry.

i just hope we still get the ac4 remake

people acting like the ps5 is already done , but next year we still have gta 6 , saros , wolverine , resident evil requiem, nioh 3 , 007 first light, just to name a few , we could still get a surprise or two , with release dates and unannounced games.

@PuppetMaster i'm 100% saying its not happening , they pretty much confirmed it as well with the reports saying ps4/ps5 bc. i've made my peace a long time ago , which is why i still have my ps3 plugged in whenever i have that want to play a ps3 game.

@Bramble the older you get it seems like time goes by faster but in reality its the same time frame as all the other consoles and is still 2 to 2 1/2 years away

@djlard its confirmed that the ps4 and ps5 games will be playable on the ps6

@Andy22385 and honestly since the ps6 will be able to play ps4 and ps5 games it will be the best console to play those games , i ended up finishing up some ps4 games on the ps5.

@MasterChiefWiggum i mean you say its too soon , ( its still 2 years if these rumors are even true), but if you look at the average time span between consoles its 6-7 years and 2027 is year number 7.

@PuppetMaster while that would be amazing and i'd be all for it there is 0% chance it has ps1/ps2 or ps3 disc support.

@BusyOlf its still a pretty valid reason why the generation got off to a slow start , the fact that gaming companies were able to manage around that situation and still were able to launch a console successfully, only leaves us with what if's of if games came out sooner would they be working on something new or would it be the same ? i guess we'll never know.

@Questionable_Duck i said this in the past honestly i want that , having a detachable disc drive is the best move they could make, why? the majority of console issues is always the disc drive , instead of sending the full console in for repair they can send you a replacement drive and then you are good to go.

the funny thing is looking back sony waited 7 years to release a new console ps3 to ps4 was 7 years , ps4 to ps5 was also 7 years , and a 2027 release year would be , 7 years after the ps5 came out.

seeing the infamous photo got me hyped for a second then realized it was just a what are you playing this weekend post , infamous maybe you'll return some day.

i can't see this coming out till 2028 at the earliest , maybe 2029 at the latest.

having less time to actually sit and play games i haven't bought games as much as i used to however i did buy a few more games recently like silent hill f and ghosts , but i still have a lot of games i need to go back and complete , and i skipped a few games along the way that either i'll forget about or hopefully eventually play them. but i mean the numbers don't lie , so many consoles out there , and you have a lot of games that fail to sell a decent amount? i'm always curious what games do people even play if they had a ps3 or ps4 or ps5.

@BennyTheCat aw1 is great and you should play it anyways , but i don't think you really need to play aw1 before aw2 to really enjoy it other then hes a writer its pretty much a brand new story.

i bought it last year when they had a pretty good sale on the full game and deluxe version , so getting this game on ps+ is 1000% worth getting the upgrade for 6$. perfect game for the spoopies season.

i mean the game is 8 years old , the fact that people are even still playing it at all shows how long the game has lasted. most games would kill to last 6-8 years

kind of crazy people are complaining about free dlc for a game that wasn't even expected to get dlc in the first place. i enjoyed this game so i'll try out the dlc. not to mention it sounds like it gets gameplay upgrades and some vissual upgrades as well being a part of it.

@Hapless its not an update its a native ps5 version, so it would need more then just an update for that.

@Enigk i doubt there being a xbox or not will do anything with the ps6 price.

i mean i love my xbox i bought a series x at launch , but honestly has playstation really been contested other then the ps3 vs 360?

halo 1 was great back then and to be able to play it again remade on ps5 is something i never thought it would happen. i said the same about gears of war , and next up fable as well. great for gamers though.

@StitchJones honestly after play ds2 , also has me pretty pumped up for a pure ps5 horizon game and i think we'll be surprised with a horizon single player game in the next 2-3 years before ps6.

i love the story games so keep em coming i want more.

i feel like the more games this team makes the games keep getting better they keep learning and making improvements so i can't wait to see how this one is going to turn out , i still want silent hill 3 remade as well.

the crazy part is that the ps5 is one of sony's most successful consoles, we have ghosts coming out this week wolverine 2026 , and other games to still be announced. sounds like they are doing just fine.
