@Northern_munkey honestly i think it sucks i liked them , but im sure there is way more we don't know about in why they closed down. somtimes it just doesn't work out, but honestly i think in a few weeks people will forget about it. hopefully a good amount of them get picked up by other sony studios.

@8bit4Life as some one who enjoys bluepoint as much as every one else please explain how they would be more valuable then bungie? i could see marathon do decently if they listen and up date the game enough.

@Dan12836666 i doubt they'll stop , i mean its like a money glitch since the games sell so well on the ps5.

i'm gonna be that guy that brings reality into this , but with how expensive games are to develop if more people bought games instead of waited for sales , or just supported them in general then bluepoint wouldn't have shut down. i like bluepoint as much as every one else , but its not the end of the world.

@UltimateOtaku91 to put this in perspective the ps5 has over 90 million consoles shipped and sold , but there was only about 2 million copies of demon soul remake sold from bluepoint.

@RatmCky but i mean if you had to pick between the ps5 version and the ps3 version and you have a modern tv , why would you just now buy the digital version in 2026? i can't imagine there would be a lot of people looking for the digital version of a ps3 game though , just my opinion.

i'm going to be honest i don't think the ps6 was ever going to come out next year. maybe 2027 was the announcement year , but i still think it will be 2028 or 2029 that the actual console would be released , maybe it still does.

theres a lot of comments so i can't read all of them, but i'm sure there is way more to the story then we'll actually know. it sounds like they'll spread out the rest of the people from the studio they are keeping , either that or they'll rebrand it into a new studio. if it was me i'd resturcure whats left either into sony bend , or san monica ( to do the god of war remakes).

@Rhaoulos ya that would never happen , unless 3rd party shops sold console games, strait up pc games wouldn't even work.

that being said i hope they have the disc add on like the ps5 pro , its much easier to get a disc drive replacement you can install your self vs sending the whole console out to get a used console back.

@oc1d this generation was plauged with many issues including the pandemic , and developers have cracked down on time crunching forcing over time on teams to crank out games much faster.

@RatmCky i also easily found the game on amazon to buy , i'm sure a lot of used game stores sell it as well. how many people are going to go out and play the ps3 version when there will be a ps5 version that will look and play much better on modern tv's.

@TrollOfWar i mean its going to be interesting , not sure if im interested in something like that or not , i'll just stick with the ps5 and series x for now , but i'll probably check it out.

@Stonecold730 you are just trying to trick us so you can get a ps6 at launch.

@CP2 nd brought on extra teams for the online game , they've said it a few times but it didn't take resources or time from other games , the reason why they released so many games between ps3/ps4 is because they forced people to work forced over time 60-80 hours a week which they backed off of which means its going to take much longer to release games.

hopefully we can see what they've been putting all that work into for years already.

@RatmCky i mean if you own the digital copy already you can still play it , you can even redownload it , you just can't buy it.

@SoulsBourne128 how many copies of a ps3 digitally are they selling? i can't imagine too many.

honestly with the ps5 version coming might as well just wait for that. but depending where you live , you can easily find a used copy for the ps3.

@VeganH i mean there is only so much that can change over time , but i compare it more to pc's tech gets better faster , and runs games much better and they can be more complex. its like if you compare a ps4 to a ps5 to a ps5 pro , you see that little detail completely change how the game looks imo, and makes the word feel more alive , like last of us or hoizon are both good examples. and honestly as some one who has a decent gaming pc , i feel like the gap between a decent pc and a console is closer then ever , except consoles no matter how expensive they get are still much cheaper then a gaming pc.

i mean i get it this is a website that reports video game news , and we all know the ps6 is coming at some point. but i feel like the issue is how things are worded these days , the ps6 hasn't even been officially announced , so how can something not official be delayed when it was never really give a target date? i am excited to see how pssr 2.0 works out , i feel like they should keep playing around with stuff like that on the ps5 pro , and that in the long run will make the ps6 even better.

honestly i just want see what remakes look like in my head i imagine the combo of the older games with a graphic style of the more current ones i think that would be amazing

i must have missed when the ps6 was announced with a release date for it to be delayed.

im curious to how this next xbox will even work will it just be a pc then a console? i mean mac has steam , but most games aren't playable on a mac ( with out a work around).

between first and 3rd party i think between this year and the next 2 years will be peak in the ps5 era. phantom blade zero , 007 , wolverine , i gotta get a step on it and finish up a lot of games first lol.

he did say in the past castlevaina is his dream project and they said more new games will be announced this year, maybe its just a pipe dream but you never know.

honestly i think if they worked with sony on a castlevaina game , i'd say corey should be the one to do it at san monica a god of war style castevaina game would be amazing.

the fact we are getting metal gear 4 remaster is great , but they are remaking gow 1,2,3 ??is this something different or something corey has been working on ? or is it bluepoints new project they are helping out with?

i'll throw this out there , but i think we'll not only see Corey's San Monica game , but it comes out this year which is the big rumor. Sounds like we'll even see the 2.5d god of war game which is also rumored to be a possible mulitplatform game , switch? pc? what i also hope we'll see is a surprise maybe firesprites game set in the until dawn universe? what if we randomly get another gta 6 trailer?

@DKG-85 honestly i liked downpour it was a different take on silent hill but it fit the character to be lil bit more on the action side, i also enjoyed homecoming as well though. i'd play a remaster.

a teaser at the end of the remake would be nice though , not expecting it , but i've seen a few rumors it could even be seen this year , hopefully we can get a remake of part 3 as well next.

honestly we don't really need to see much more , maybe a lil bit i rather they not over share or show too much, game looks great , thats all we need to know. we all know its getting a stand alone state of play dedicated to it before launch anyways.

i think they'll finally announce starfield for ps5 along with 2.0 update , a ps5 update to detriot becomes human would be a nice surprise though ( with ps5 pro bonus's) , maybe we can get a hint or a tease of what sony studios is being so secretive about with some of their studios.

@KilloWertz honestly the only people that would know when the next horizon game is coming out is Guerrilla so i would just take whatever jason says as a rumor and not officially him saying its coming out in 3 years.

@datamonkey i mean do you blame them , forbiden west outsold the entire killzone franchise alone. if more people bought killzone , it would still be around.

this is the issue with gaming these days , you need to take everything with a grain of salt , this isn't an actual news announcement but a guy making a guess on when something could be coming out.

@trev666 i see a lot of people saying this , but honestly there were a lot of ps3's sold and their games sold really really poorly, i think killzone 3 and resistance 3 both sold around 1 million copies each or less.

@VenomUK i would say yes they featured microsoft games in sony's " ps5 games in 2026" trailer.

@lacerz no this is the offical sony one , there was one that was supposed to be either mobile or pc only and it wasn't coming to consoles.

@StitchJones this is a question for every one , but if every one keeps claiming " every one " wants this type or style of game , why do those games sell to only 10-15% of people that own a ps5? if there are 92 million consoles shipped , shouldn't their best games be selling 15-20 million units at worst? the sales numbers don't back up what gamers want ( and this is coming from some one that owns a ps5 for sony studio games).

@Scottyy i feel like after e-day which is their focus that 2 + 3 will be after that. ( i hope).

@dskatter honestly knowing how people troll every single poll on here even things that look good still get the worst votes. so i'd take any poll with a grain of salt.
