Re: The Excellent Silent Hill 2 Remake Has Attracted Five Million Players

its awesome to see not only resident evil thrive in 2026 but silent hill as well. i'm waiting on pssr 2.0 to see how it fixes up the issues ( not that i ever really cared about the issues in the first place) , but i'm excited for them to show off the remake of part 1. hopefully if all goes well , they've already started on remaking part 3.

Re: Hands On: Assassin's Creed Unity's PS5 Update Has Made Us Rethink That 5/10 Review

I feel like they made the game too good , it wasn't super optimized for consoles at the time, but the game still holds up many years later in 2026 as with the 60fps and 4k res looks amazing. a better lighting system , maybe better particle effects would have been perfect, but going back that far into a older game trying to fix those things would have been too much. but in terms of how the game looked they were way ahead of their time , including how good they made the indoor parts of the buildings as well. not to mention its free running was the best in the entire series.

Re: As PS6 Delay Rumours Swirl, Fans Debate Ray Tracing's Worth

don't get me wrong , people keep bringing up rt bringing down performance but im pretty sure this article isn't about the baseline ps5, but more like the ps5 pro which can handle both rt and performance , and the ps6 that we don't even know much about yet , but i'm sure can handle rt and performance better then the ps5 pro. this already exists in higher end gaming rigs , but the fact we are getting closer and closer to higher game end gaming rigs in console form is crazy to me.

@Ristar24 fair enough i feel like if you saw or had a pro i think your mind would change , i'll give a pretty good example of a brand new game crimson desert the highest quality mode on base line ps5 has high ray tracing but drops to 30 fps with upscaled 4k, vs the ps5 pro's lowest mode preformance has those same settings with 60fps , with the pro's quality mode at true 4k 30fps with ultra ray tracing while balance on the pro has a slightly better res (1440p) upscaled to 4k with 48fps.

Re: As PS6 Delay Rumours Swirl, Fans Debate Ray Tracing's Worth

why pick one when you can have both , that's what pssr 2.0 is for. playing re9 with it turned on vs playing it on a base line ps5 i'll take ray tracing every day. also if you can't tell the difference you won't really notice much unless you have a ps5 pro and a tv that is good enough to handle it meaning you need a tv with vrr support , 120 htz , ect to even notice it , if you don't have those things you won't notice a difference.

Re: PS5 Pro Sales Explode on the Back of PSSR 2 Hype, System Sells Out in Some Stores

twitchtvpat

@themightyant i mean i wouldn't take that stuff too seriously till the official specs are out, but the way sony is improving pssr , by the time pssr comes out we will see 3.0 or higher depending if they keep upgrading the ps5 pro's pssr till then meaning they don't really need to match their specs when software is matching it in performance , while keeping the price down with specs lower then theirs.

well to the rumors we are getting code veronica next , maybe announced somtime this year for actually next year , and re:Zero remake is also being worked on as well , and if the rumor is right , after re:10 , we could possibly see another remake of re:1. personally im excited to see code veronica remake with the re engine. i think it could be great seeing a modern version of chris and claire.

Re: 'Exclusives Are Absolutely Not Happening': Xbox Helix Will Share Library with PS6

twitchtvpat

honestly they make too much money off of selling games on playstation , they would be silly not to , at the same time if they make money that way they can take more of a risk on the hardware side, honestly i am keeping an eye out , not sure if i'd get it right away , im still pretty happy with the ps5pro and series X, depends how this new xbox console actually comes out like.

Re: PS6 Rival Xbox Helix Could Cost as Much as $1,200

twitchtvpat

@DualWielding i feel like they can do that mostly on the back of pssr , 2.0 already is a step up and is pretty impressive so far ( looking forward to trying it with other games when it fully comes out) , but i can already imagine they'd be working on 3.0 for the launch or early on for ps6 , which could help cut costs of the system , imo.

Re: PS6 Rival Xbox Helix Could Cost as Much as $1,200

twitchtvpat

@LogicStrikesAgain that's what i said , and i have a really nice pc , which is a few years old but still holds up well in 2026 , if i wanted to build a pc like the one i currently have with upgraded parts it would cost me closer to 3,000 instead of the 2,000 i paid for this, but then i look at my ps5 pro on my tv playing resident evil with pssr 2.0 , why spend 3,000 dollars to get something slightly better then what the pro offers currently? which is why i think the progression of pssr into ps6 ( 3.0 or wherever its at by then) will be more important then the actual hardware and could keep prices lower then we expect for it.

Re: 'They're Not Going to Delay PS6': Hardware Leaker Says 2027 Still Likely After Xbox Helix Reveal

twitchtvpat

@Fizza i mean how is it different then releasing a console during a pandemic ? i'd say despite mulitple set backs , pandemic , strikes , and now hardware shortage and costs , the ps5 has been pretty successful. i mean the ps6 isn't going to not come out because of that. in my mind i'll hope that means it will be much easier to get a ps6 at launch but lets be honest it will still sell out.
