@TrollOfWar unless you are playing with a keyboard and mouse , i don't see world of warcraft being enjoyable with a controller lol , seeing how many keybinds you need to do anything in game.

the latest is its been said it has been talked about in some form but they also have the idea that its never coming back ( exclusivity in games), tbh they make way too much money from putting games on ps5 , they have no reason to stop that.

hopefully we'll see the first trailer for sh1r very soon

if anything a more realistic thing that would happen would be xbox gets the game first and a few months later its on playstation. so if you want to play it now it would still give xbox the one up.

today's been going pretty crazy with the rumors , not sure why today the rumors are flying around , if the page is going to post them or not , should all be taken with a grain of salt.

@wildcat_kickz the only positive is bungie is committed to improving their games and releasing more content for it , both of the destiny games were supported for years and had gotten better over time

sounds like assassins creed black flag remake reveal , hopefully a few more surprises either ff7 part 3 teaser or silent hill 1 remake reveal or even the re9 dlc

if they are willing to do this for cyberpunk , with the rumor swirling about new witcher 3 dlc coming out to connect 3 and 4 together , i'm curious if that dlc would also come with a ps5 pro support? jumped back into cyberpunk today after the update , and it looks amazing.

a silent hill 1 remake trailer would be nice , but i kind of doubt it , maybe the re9 dlc reveal? hopefully we can finally see the secret project san monica studios has been working on though, i think intergalatic info might be held off till wolverines release but you never know.

@Futureshark it will be on switch, xbox and pc , so its not an emulated version its a new rewritten version.

@Odium i don't mind longer games , but 10-20 hr games still take me forever to beat as it is lol. not to mention a lot of games add in stuff that is just filler and unforgettable just to tack on hours to a game to tell people it has 30+hrs of game play.

@Grackler i liked bluepoint but what exactly did they do that people are going on weeks after? i'm sorry but its time people moved on. sony clearly saw things we haven't , and evaluated business moves that they had to shut it down.

@shiny-enzo i feel like people that don't understand those aspects should just enjoy playing games , but studios have shut down , people get laid off, this isn't something sony created , epic and Microsoft have shut down much more and laid off many more people.

It being pulled from the store doesn't make it unplayable.

@PacPern123 at this stage its not having talent or lack of talent , but direction of the studios , budgets , and many other reasons behind the scenes we don't see why studios close down. they just can't keep studios open because people think they are talented , thats not really how the real world works.

@premko1 when sony sells less then 10 million consoles that would be sega level lol, sony isn't even near that level , in fact the ps5 is their most profitable console they ever made.

@Snick27 the base ps5 is the same price as the series x , i highly doubt the majority of people would still buy a ps5 , a lot of them spent way more on ebay at the launch of the ps5.

@IMustardMitt i hate to tell you this but by the time the ps6 comes out it will actually be longer then the time period between ps3 to ps4 as well as ps4 to ps5. video game consoles is one of the few things that have upgrades every 7-8 years so i wouldn't consider that as " ridiculously early "

I already saw rumors swirling that nd could have 3 games ( 1 obviously intergalactic and 2 unannounced ) obviously all rumors should be taken with a grain of salt but I believe they had confirmed there was at least 1 other game they were working on )

@LifeGirl in terms of how it will effect price , i would say if they keep improving pssr , it will actually keep costs down as they won't have to invest as much hardware wise as software can help offset thoses costs while still enabling performance greater then what the hardware is capable of .

it will outsell the ps4 alone ridding off of gta6. also people keep talking about the price over and over , forgetting that people were more then willing to spend way more money to scalpers at launch to get their hands on a ps5, i don't think people care as much as a small % think , if it goes well im sure you'll see a decent holiday sale , and with the price increase any time there is a discount , i'm sure that will increase sales.

@Yor-sama if its anything like i've imagined it being , i would think its more of a successor to the jax and daxter series , possibly taking ideas from the 4th game they were toying around with.

@UnlimitedSevens i don't understand why the ps4/ps5 cross period upset any one , its not any different then gpu's in a pc , a older gpu can play a game , but obviously the new stuff will always play the game better. i mean if you really had to pick between playing the ps4 version or the ps5 version the ps5 version will clearly be better. as for the handheld if the rumors are right , which you should always take with a grain of salt, then this would be able to play im guessing the same games the ps6 can. which means ps4 and ps5 games including ps6 games. which is why they have added low power modes in games for the handheld. just imagine being able to play say resident evil , then you can jump back in on the handheld play and then jump back on the console later on.

i just hope this energy keeps up so i can get both the handheld and ps6 at launch then u guys can go back on it and go crazy trying to buy one lol

it depends what kind of game you are looking for , its not a open world space game like no mans sky , but i think its pretty good for what it is.

@HRdepartment i know u are joking but i have so many hdmi and power cords , in fact thats the one thing sony hasn't changed on any of their consoles is they use the same exact power cable on every single console they've had, when i switched out my consoles on my tv i just unplugged it and used the same cord lol.

@LowDefAl i feel the way some people talk about the ps5 is how people talked about the ps3 back then except numbers wise the ps5 has been way more successful then the ps3 , and that the ps3 actually sold very poorly in software and it wasn't till the back end of its life that it was able to sell more hardware but it struggled its first couple of years to even get to that point, as much as i loved the ps3 back then , it was also the console that almost killed the sony console brand, and people seem to either forget that or gloss over it.

@Nepp67 if they were moving away from psychical games they would just simply stop making them. also that cost of the disc drive would be built into the price of the console , so either way you are either paying it to be in the console or you have the choice to even have it at all. in fact if its 80$ they probably would make it 100$ more expensive with it. Even with the disc you still need to download updates, and data anyways , so just having the disc doesn't even mean much as it used to.

@Nepp67 not really a detachable disc drive would benefit people who still buy physical , whats the first part that normally breaks? its the disc drive , would you rather send your whole console in to get fixed or just swap out the disc drive?

on a side note people are still to worried about something thats not even an official.

honestly to make every one happy an interesting concept would be to have 2 maybe 3 if possible , but idk how possible it would be to have 3 hard drive slots , but like the ps5/ps5pro have hard drive slots , and have ps6 consoles with out a hard with only built in memory for the os , and then the hard drive slots to play games off of , meaning its up to the buyer in how much storage they are willing to pay for. also i love the idea of the detachable disc drive as it makes it way easier for people to just fix their own consoles vs sending the entire thing out to have the disc drive fixed.

@AnginaPectoris i'm sure there will still be plenty of tv's for sale , they make more then what they sell , i bought a a90k tv this year and its pretty amazing. i said it in another post i'm sure they'll keep the higher end bravia tv's since they do well and sony still has some say as they are part owners , but i'm sure you'll see some lower tier and mid tier price tv's in their line up as well.

@SuntannedDuck2 the price is going to decrease when the parts are more expensive. every gaming console will increase in price , xbox already did.

@Atreus97 we just have more instant access to news now then ever , but honestly people being laid off and studios closing has always been a thing in the tech industry , this isn't new.

the irony we all are missing is the fact that people spent over 1,000 dollars at launch to buy from resellers just for the base console, not to mention but sony has held off this long while everything else went up in price, but we all knew it was going to last forever.
