i know ps3 gets bluray updates to play recent blurays , i'm curious if thats the same case with the ps4.

@sup3r1or the new God of War spin off is basically a spiritual successor to Heavenly Sword , a return to the Enslaved series would be cool though

@TooOldForGamesNow sales like these take months , legal fees , ect , its not like going to a yard sale and selling a game, also a few other people noted that i'm pretty sure they would keep the ip's and tech.

@PuppetMaster i mean they illiterately are ending up like them as they are pretty much shutting them down.

it also looks like earlier in the day the head of xbox studios Chris Bring had stepped down. It looks like they are cleaning house , putting people in place that she prefers? also take this with a grain of salt , but a report said the whole "exclusives are back" was nothing more then a show for the events and there is already talk to "reverse it".

@Bingoboyop it looked like they saw more value breaking up bluepoint and keeping the people they wanted to spread them out to other studios

@For-Kier assassins creed is one of the few things keeping ubisoft going lol, if any one is safe its them.

what i would give for a remake of need for speed underground from ps2, or a new burnout paradise open world game. maybe rock star can bring back midnight club or sony brings back motorstorm.

i have an xbox to play their games , but honestly if i can pick between playing the pro version or xbox series x version. i would always pick the pro version 100% of the time even if it costs more money.

i wish they would remake the older rachet games a crack in time remake would be great

the hurry up and release the game before gta 6 push lol. of course god of war and wolvrine first party wise for me , and nothing beats ff7 part 3 and code veronica remake for me next year. ( other then gta 6) lol.

@MidnightDragonDX sounds like it is , they are just trimming off the fat , if their main focus is on rainbow 6 , assassins creed maybe a few other things , they aren't going to need those additional studios.

the sad part is they have a thing that can make them money sitting on a hard drive , but they would rather not release it on ps5 and have gears of war exclusive? i feel like a few months down the road , if gears of war doesn't sell copies i could easily see them releasing it on ps5.

@LiamOliver I feel like this has gone off the rails quite a bit , but its clear we both enjoy the game , as its a ton of fun imo to play , and the fact that it keeps getting updates imo is great to see and gives me a reason to keep coming back , even though i would still be playing it.

@IronCrow86 just having a ps5 case with halo on it makes it pretty cool to me , i never actually thought i'd see this day ever happen.

@TheFakulty a lot of the people that worked at bluepoint are working at other studios at sony , so its not like they are sitting around waiting for a call to reform bluepoint under a different name.

@Stocksy i hate to tell you this but , " that gets constant content to build on the launch content" is literally the definition of what a live service game actually is. but for some reason people have gotten it stuck in their head the only types of live service games is mp fortnite type games. the new marvel fighting game coming to ps5 is another example of a live service title, street fighter 6 also live service. i think that's why live service games get a bad name because people don't really understand what exactly a live service game is.

@LiamOliver this is one of the examples when people say they hate live service stuff , but this is a great example of a live service game.

i could see them doing Destiny again later on down the road, i'd rather see them do something different. if anything i wouldn't mind if ms and sony came to a deal that kept halo on the ps5 , they let Bungie work on the halo series again, helping to keep halo mulitplatorm and of course bungie working on it again.

@Yooka-Laylee i think he would have done well in the role , i just think his point was the other guy did it so much better that it worked out best for every one.

pretty cool to see some of the older tales games get some love too.

this game already looked good on the vita , in 4k on the ps5 im sure it will look amazing

some one you might need to find a new hobby if this hobby brings so much negativity into your life , video games are supposed to be fun, and this looks like it would be fun to play.

to throw more logs on the fire , but a trailer was found of eday with the ps5 logo. so it looks like it was removed right before the event. i still think it will eventually be on ps5.

@RobN i've never ran out of games to play lol , i've run out of time to play them in more then having any games to play.

not to mention they did submit it to get rated , which if they weren't going to release it why have it rated?

i think they are going to wait to see how many sales the game does. honestly if they are going to do pure exclusives then it shouldn't be on game pass day one. or give more reasons to pay for it. but seeing how the game is pretty much finished i think it will come out on ps5.

honestly the real winners are the people who enjoy video games , each conference had several things i plan on playing and we got a lot of release dates ( september's gta avoidance month) , and we have a pretty good picture of some things to expect in 2027 , with a lot more to announce for next year. still no splinter cell remake though.

state of decay 3 coming to ps5

i have xbox so i'll play it either way , but if i had to pick between playing it on ps5 pro or xbox id prob pick ps5 pro, i wouldn't be shocked if it did eventually get a port a few months later.

i feel like they aren't going to spend as much money making 3rd party games exclusive , if people are going to buy the ps5 copy they'll buy it if its exclusive or not. and tbh since i've gotten a ps5 pro , it feels like the pro is getting the best console version of that game , so im going to end up buying it for that.

@ear__wig they did the same thing for the re3 trailer. unless they add in both which would be interesting.

@Dman10 i thought they were both good shows , they had games i'm looking forward to playing on the ps5 pro. i just don't know how i'm going to fit all these games on the hard drive, i'll prob have to invest in another bigger external hard drive to store them on. also trying to find time to play them all as well lol.

@matekomlosi i wasn't expecting them at the summer game fest tbh , i'm sure their focus is mostly on wolverine and once thats done you'll see more from the naughty dog game or just before that.

well finally we get to see part 3 of final fantasy 7 and the confirmed rumored game of re:code veroncia remake is real and it looks amazing. but that also means if that remake is real then the next game up should be re:0 remake.

i've been waiting for years for cv remake im so happy the rumors were true , but that also means we should be getting re:0 remake after this

@IntrepidWombat i doubt it unless ada is involved, but they already had planted the seeds for re5 at the end of re4.

not every game needs to be open world, hopefully it has some elements like uncharted had when you would go off the path a little bit and find easter eggs , hidden items. but it looks amazing i can't wait to play it.

i said this in another post but i was pretty happy with the event , we got a lot of solid release dates , more coverage of wolverine , the reveal of the new until dawn and god of war game, this is only the start of the week too , as we still have more game announcements 3rd party wise as well. my only issue is how on earth am i going to play all these September games before gta 6 lol.

it depends if i have other games to play i don't care about early access , but i have done it before say like resident evil i could play it a few days early and im going to play it the second it comes out , i'm all for it, but i don't mind them offering this at all.

lets be honest he hates everything , he hated God of war since it changed in 2018. His ego burnt all his bridges or he would still have a job with sony. but that goes with the whole idea of , it feels like some people are just never happy with what is announced , but i'll be enjoying this game when it comes out.
