honestly i think the stink is gone and i think more people will buy the game because it is a really good game. and i've enjoyed the game a lot , hopefully we see some type of expansion / dlc area like the first game.

i kind of slept on this game but it does look really fun , i should give it a try i do like kart racers. its pretty cool to see them bring in classic game characters.

@LogicStrikesAgain i told some one that the other day , and they were expecting a god of war announcement still , sony can announce the theme and and everything , people get upset when those games don't get announced.

@Hylian-Likely out of pure curiosity what were you actually expecting ? i mean they made it pretty clear what this state of play was going to show and the theme of it.

and ico remake would be great , i doubt it would happen though. if a team like asobi did a platformer like jax and daxter or ape escape i think they could do really well with that.

@Americansamurai1 seeing how its Japanese based im going to say there is 0% anything god of war related is announced.

if this helps fund more remakes i'm all for it i love silent hill 2 remake and can't wait to see what they'll do with the first game , and there are rumors swirling around ( take it with a grain of salt ) that the 3rd game will be remade as well.

@get2sammyb for a ps2 game it had photo realistic graphics , it was crazy back then

@Jey887 i mean i would say skyrim or even gta 5 has been milked more , gta 5 was on ps3/ps4 and ps5.

@ButWhy no ones forced to buy the extra stuff though. you can still enjoy the game with out any of it. then again i feel like you weren't even going to buy the game either way , so i don't really see why you have an issue with it?

@PapaGlitch i'm pretty sure the physical games you can still run using remote play, but this feature also makes it more portable , yes you still need a solid connection , but you could bring it on a vacation and it use it.

@Dodoo i mean honestly they are all gadgets we don't need , but we still enjoy the heck out of them lol.

i'd be more then okay with a remake of it , put all the dlc into the main game. maybe even add more content dlc that they had on a wish list but didn't get to make.

honestly you can't go by those polls because even in good months that we have gotten better games people still troll it by giving it a bad score for the month.

@AdamNovice honestly if it takes the same amount of effort to port the games vs remaking them i'd rather play remakes with improvements to the games , but that's just me.

@Colour they didn't include any ps2 games. i'm guessing there is a possible collection coming with the ps2 era stuff separate from this.

@Dan12836666 i'm guessing its just as much work to remake them as it would be to port them all over to playstation. also it would prob take more time and resources to port all the games over

i'm guessing the story games could be bundled together as dlc as they didn't really call it halo 1 just halo campagin , so 2 and 3 could be playable from the menu as dlc? i'm down with that if thats what they are doing. i mean i already played all the games so i prefer remakes myself.

i'm guessing at the next event either they'll tease the next remake at the end or they'll have a teaser trailer , either for zero or code veronica.

i'm happy , i played stray loved it , got busy and never got to finish it , thought about buying it a few times to actually finish it because i really enjoyed it but never did. well now i can finally finish it.

bluepoint did an amazing job with the shadow remake , why not just let them remake ico

@NathanUC i mean we still have that un-named project delta which people can fly is working on , why they are keeping it so secretive and haven't announced a single detail doesn't give it much promise.

it feels like way more people have good memories of games like killzone and resistance then people that actually bought the game. Sadly the first horizon game sold the entire killzone and resistance series combined , including psp , vita games. if more people supported the games back then they would still be around.

i think its great more people can play halo, i'll play it on playstation just for the sake to play it on a sony console. but is it really a shock when it was rumored for months to happen.

i guess the only real game left is Fable , i'm guessing that will be announced soon , honestly a remake of the first one would be great too. i can't really think of anything else.

@nomither6 halo 1 needed a remake though , i'm interested to see where it goes from here if they do the rest of the mcc or remake 2 and 3 next.

@Lowdefal of course the 360 was great , it clearly took advantage of the situation, i don't blame them either. i mean i love my 360 i have well over 100 something games , i lost track and come across games i forgot i even bought.

@Ultimapunch honestly they have sony to thank for pretty much dropping the ball on the ps3 , they came out with a console that cost way too much money , took 3-4 years before games really started to come out for the ps3 , 3rd party games played way better on the 360 vs the ps3

@Oram77 i'll have to look it up but i don't think it was confirmed outside of rumors , but at this point i can't see it not coming to ps5.

finally , the worst kept secret , but halo is finally on playstation, only Fable is next to be announced.

i will say this sony has come a long ways with stuff like this , cross play was something they were against for a while , then embraced it , and now a good amount of games you can play across consoles, even with cross progression as well. Playing the Gears of War 1 remake it was pretty cool seeing achievements unlock while you also unlock trophies.

@nomither6 if you really want to compare fair prices , at todays inflation rate the ps3 would be almost 1,000 dollars. and would still be the most expensive console even compared to the ps5 pro.

@TheArt sadly the only game that really took advantage of what the chip set could do in the ps3 was first party games, 3rd party dev's hated it , and the 360 versions were always way better then the ps3 versions. i keep seeing so much love for the ps3 but no one bought games back then ( if they did we'd still would have killzone , resistance , motorstorm and infamous). in all reality the ps3 almost killed the brand. and this is coming from some one that still plays their ps3 to this day.

@dBackLash while its great to see so many people have good memories of the ps3 now in 2025 , it seems people have forgotten the ps3 was also the console that could have easily killed the playstation brand, 3rd party games played horribly on the console vs the xbox 360. developers actually hated porting games over or even making games for it. lucky they had some great 1st party teams that pretty much carried the back half of the ps3 cycle and pretty much saved it. the only issue is , people didn't even really buy those games either. a lot of those games people keep bringing up sold really poorly back then. which is why they stopped making them. the ps4 pretty much saved the playstation brand. Not to mention the most expensive playstation console of all time with inflation the ps3 price with 60gb would be $934 .

@Czar_Khastik while that would be great , 8k content isn't even close yet , there are 8k tv's and they are just so crazy expensive i can't really even see a single reason other then youtube videos that have 8k to even need one yet.

@MrGawain i mean if you are going by that the ps3 had a horrible engagement rate , in fact the main selling point was it was actually the cheapest blu-ray player on the market , like how the ps2 was the cheapest dvd player on the market. and best quality movie players as well. people keep bringing up infamous , resistance , killzone games , but a lot of those games struggled to sell over 1 million copies when there was what 86 million consoles?

it took a few years for the ps3 to slightly pass the 360 in sales , but the ps3 did finish off strong in sales , as they still sold a decent amount after the ps4 came out.

@Simu001 i'd say cyberpunk is a pretty good example i mean it wasn't unplayable but they really did make a lot of improvements / quality upgrades after release.

@pyrrhic_victory theres always been a story , they've added multiple side stories as well , but theres always been a story.

@viktorcode this is why , when people act like they hate live service games i show them games like this or gt7 both keep pumping out updates and neither makes you pay for them. they keep making content to have users keep playing the game , and it makes it worth paying for these games because you always have new stuff to play.

the dual sense features i actually like , including the feed back you can get in some games , also how fast the games boot up , ect , has made the ssd worth it. my only issue is sony has been keeping lot of their games too secretive, they have all these studios working on games no one even knows about.

@Doctor_BK honestly just enjoy the game , it never had trophies back then , and is a great game.

if they are making a big update then that makes sense to hold off on the ps5 port till the update is finished so the ps5 gets the best version at launch instead of launching it then a month or two later the game is totally different.
