Oh no, not this nonsense again.

Five years after the Abandoned debacle of 2021, where Hasan Kahraman basically made a fake game and tried to tie it to Silent Hill and Hideo Kojima to drum up interest, it still appears the creator wants to make some kind of Abandoned game.

Something called Abandoned: Gospels of Blood has been spotted on Kahraman's PSN profile, presumably for testing purposes. Will it ever come out? Of course not, but it looks like Kahraman is still trying to make something happen.

Abandoned 2

Abandoned first broke onto the scene in a mysterious PlayStation Blog post that pretty much immediately sounded too good to be true (it was). Just a day after its publication, conspiracy theories flooded the Internet linking Abandoned to Hideo Kojima and the Silent Hill series. After all, Kojima had pulled a similar stunt with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as he originally revealed the game as something from Moby Dick Studio.

Blue Box Game Studios, the team claiming to be making Abandoned, denied the theories at the time, stating it has "no association with Hideo Kojima". It was just a "small group of developers working on a passionate title we wanted to work on for a long time".

A few months later, it leaned into the conspiracy theories by teasing that Abandoned was actually a Silent Hill game, which Kojima was linked to following the cancellation of Silent Hills. The team promised you'd be able to see more of the game via a realtime app on PS5, which was then delayed multiple times. It finally released a video teaser in August 2021...which was the exact same trailer as had been posted to social media.

At this point, the game basically disappeared and has never been heard from since, except for a claim of a prologue game releasing in early 2022. That obviously never happened.

Now, it appears creator Hasan Kahraman still has ambitions to publish an Abandoned game, now with the Gospels of Blood subtitle. Will you ever get to play it? Of course not.
