Re: PlayStation's Disastrous First-Party Leadership Culminates in Yet Another Studio Closure

@EbolaGW i couldn't disagree with you more , it feels like the majority of people actually do as well with the ps5 being one of their more successful consoles , there feels to be a lot of hype behind the pssr tech , with big games coming up this year, i feel like gta 6 is going to be a huge seller for the console , along with their program that has been helping out studios to create their games , we still have phantom blade zero coming as well.

This might not be a popular opinion clearly , but i think Hulst has done a pretty good job with ps5 seeing how its been one of the most difficult era's in video games. They navigated around releasing a console during a pandemic while having to deal with stock issues , to the increasing cost of parts , which they've been able to get past for the most part with out having to increase the console's price as much as say ms had to raise the cost of xbox. the irony is i'm pretty sure this studio was created to make live service games and from reading the comments a lot of people who dislike live service games are complaining about the shut down , am i wrong?

@Dog_Biscuits i get the hate for re6 but its still one of the better selling resident evil games. i liked certain aspects and parts of the game and the fact that it was the first game that brought leon and chris in the same story , and was a return to zombies in leons part, if i had to remake it though i'd make it all into one game that would swap back and forth between characters and you progress the story like re9 , ditch the qte events as well.

@Smackosynthesis the problem is there is no winning either you announce the game a few months later its out , or you announce it earlier and its years away , but at least you know its coming , but both situations make people complain " where are the games " and " why do we have to wait so long for the game to come out".

Re: Congratulations to Resident Evil, 30 Years Old Today and Better Than Ever

people keep bringing up the remake of re3 forgetting that re3 was always one of the shorter games in the series. i'm glad they remade it , but games were much shorter back then compared to now , i'm just glad it wasn't forgotten about. i keep hearing that the code veronica remake should be their best one yet though , so i'm pretty excited to see how it will turn out , its crazy to think of it being 30 years though , but i recall seeing the first game in action , and it was just crazy to see how advanced it was compared to other games in its day. excited for the future , sounds like we are getting code veronica , zero , and 1? being remade along with re:X

Re: 'A Great Showcase for PSSR 2': PS5 Pro's New Upscaler Continues to Get Rave Reviews

@Number09 sony isn't leaving the base ps5 to "rot" its still a fine machine depending what you have for a tv , if you tv is just a 4k tv with out vrr or 120htz screen , then you wouldn't be able to get much use from the pro. but the baseline ps5 doesn't have the hardware to use improvements like pssr because it doesn't have the hardware in its gpu to run an upscaler and the game at the same time.

@Contimaloris i noticed that too , so i just ended up buying the digital version which works out better for me since i have two ps5's a pro and base in different rooms. i feel like it will be this way now unless you preorder games , which i noticed a lot of games aren't available to preorder like they use to, when you could preorder months ahead of time.

Re: After PS5, PS4, and PS Portal, Even PS3 Gets a Console Update

@zekepliskin i get it , i still have a playstation 3d tv /monitor hooked up to my ps3 , i still play it time to time, but i feel like a lot of people look back at the ps3 and remember it better then they did when it was actually out , in all reality the ps3 software had very low / poor sale attachments compared to number of ps3's sold , not to mention a lot of the 3rd party ps3 games ran much worse compared to the 360 , to the point where the ps3 was sony's biggest failure , luckily the first party teams picked it up enough for a decent enough push in the back half of the consoles life to make the sales numbers look almost decent.

Re: 'An Even Smoother Experience': Developers Chime in on PS5 Pro's PSSR 2 Update

@Areyouthatdumb i feel like the biggest thing with a base ps5 vs a ps5 pro , is you also need the right tv to make it worth having a pro imo, if you have a 4k 60htz tv with out vrr then the ps5 base model works perfect for that tv as you won't be able to use the ps5 pro's best features with that tv, if you have a 4k tv that supports vrr , 120htz , having the pro imo would be worth it. the ps5 base model is still a very good console though, i put mine in my bedroom and still use it.

@BearsEatBeets Battlestar Galactica

it sounds like they'll be releasing another video with the base ps5 and xbox consoles with in the next few days though. i feel like they would have done a deep dive with the pro first either way. honestly though i still think it will look and play really well on the base ps5 , just with out as much reflections.
