@kmtrain83 honestly i just go by taking everything with a grain of salt till anything is officially shown off , i mean its a cool concept , maybe it will work out , maybe people are building it up to be more then what it will be.

@Boxmonkey i'm guessing they wanted to make it more their own game vs some one else's game , also with the rumor they are or were planning on making more game set in the universe they wanted to change the ending to make it more open ended.

i hope this is true , fallout 3 was one of my favorite games , a version with all the dlc baked in that has a better resolution and better fps would be perfect.

@Oram77 since this seems like it was pretty successful , i wouldn't be shocked if they do remake part 1.

@RoomWithaMoose depends if every game is actually supported and how well those games run. unless it comes with a dedicated gpu like a normal gaming rig , it will be either really under-powered for the price , or not sure what it will be. i can't see every single steam game working on this thing though.

well to the rumors we are getting code veronica next , maybe announced somtime this year for actually next year , and re:Zero remake is also being worked on as well , and if the rumor is right , after re:10 , we could possibly see another remake of re:1. personally im excited to see code veronica remake with the re engine. i think it could be great seeing a modern version of chris and claire.

honestly they make too much money off of selling games on playstation , they would be silly not to , at the same time if they make money that way they can take more of a risk on the hardware side, honestly i am keeping an eye out , not sure if i'd get it right away , im still pretty happy with the ps5pro and series X, depends how this new xbox console actually comes out like.

@Americansamurai1 elder scrolls online makes sense because they are trying to sell the expansions , pyschonaughts 2 that was a rare case , im 99% u won't see most of these games on ps+

@Americansamurai1 honestly i doubt you'll see these games on ps+ , you'll see sales and discounts , but ms didn't put these games on playstation to put them on ps+.

i'm gonna be honest i wasn't 100% sold on saros , and wasn't sure if i was going to play it , but the more and more i see and hear of it , my mind is quickly changing.

@DualWielding i feel like they can do that mostly on the back of pssr , 2.0 already is a step up and is pretty impressive so far ( looking forward to trying it with other games when it fully comes out) , but i can already imagine they'd be working on 3.0 for the launch or early on for ps6 , which could help cut costs of the system , imo.

@Ravix i feel like thats why they'll double dip and still lean into the whole game pass idea , in that people that still want an xbox type system will lean into this , and still dip into the software market selling on the playstation.

@LogicStrikesAgain that's what i said , and i have a really nice pc , which is a few years old but still holds up well in 2026 , if i wanted to build a pc like the one i currently have with upgraded parts it would cost me closer to 3,000 instead of the 2,000 i paid for this, but then i look at my ps5 pro on my tv playing resident evil with pssr 2.0 , why spend 3,000 dollars to get something slightly better then what the pro offers currently? which is why i think the progression of pssr into ps6 ( 3.0 or wherever its at by then) will be more important then the actual hardware and could keep prices lower then we expect for it.

i love the game so far , i would have given it a 9.5 if there was something between a 9 and 10, looks amazing reminds me of re4 mixed in with first person from 7 , which makes me even more excited for code veronica remake next imagine the cv remake with this engine and game play 10/10.

@Nitefire7786 i honestly doubt the steam machine would be a worry for sony, same with the xbox, it pretty much was confirmed that ms games are still going to be on playstation , and they are no longer focused on exclusives.

i came here to say this , but i already seen several people have the same idea , this would be perfect for sony to step in , maybe even give them a bigger budget then what they had with netease.

@Dman10 too soon? By the time the ps6 comes out the ps5 will be 9-10 years old. That’s probably the longest gap Sony has had between console generations.

@darylb24 honestly this is just my opinon but i feel like they are pulling nixxes off of pc ports and putting them in a position that bluepoint was in doing remasters/remakes and being a support studio.

@General-Foley i upgraded my tv just for my ps5 pro , and i've tried out resident evil both on my ps5 pro and base ps5 in my room , i'll say this , the ps5 pro blows it out of the water on my tv. pssr 2.0 looks amazing with the reflections ect.

@Lanmanna lets be honest though " i didn't do anything wrong" stories normally are them lying that they didn't do anything wrong and they completely leave out the actual reasons why they were banned.

@Fizza i mean how is it different then releasing a console during a pandemic ? i'd say despite mulitple set backs , pandemic , strikes , and now hardware shortage and costs , the ps5 has been pretty successful. i mean the ps6 isn't going to not come out because of that. in my mind i'll hope that means it will be much easier to get a ps6 at launch but lets be honest it will still sell out.

the crazy part is we've gotten 2 silent hill games since this , with another coming out soon , and we still have the part 1 remake as well.

@glennthefrog i mean this is more of a safe choice if anything every one knows bungie , and that style of game is pretty popular now , see arc raiders , cordcord was already dead before it even came out , i mean how many people even play overwatch now? i barely see any one play overwatch. it feels like it was a decent idea when overwatch was popular but then it died.

@Locksley I tried it out before work I can’t wait to jump in again , after beating resident evil of course. I always thought it was a great looking game just always ran rough.

@CurryPowderKeg79 people forget its actually a ps3 / xbox 360 game that was also ported to xbox one and ps4, so it was still running in tech that supported the ps3.

@Rob_230 they'll still have plenty of work to do, pretty sure they did the port of horizon zero dawn to ps5 , and that came out amazing.

honestly i thought this was always the plan that they would put some games on pc , and then say if you want to play the sequels or new games you'll need a playstation.

i'll say this a big part of it is that they don't make enough physical copies , the disc version of resident evil requreim was not purchasable on amazon or bestbuy before release. so i just said never mind and bought it on ps5.

i still would like to know what changes 2.0 involves , and if it will use pssr 2.0 as well.

just saw a rumor that the road map is code veronica remake , zero remake , re10 , and early production of resident evil 1 remake has started. hopefully this rumor is true.

@Bsb56 i highly doubt ms will put any games on ps+, they pretty much put games on ps5 to sell them.

@Nem i'm pretty sure the rumor was that sony bend was working on an uncharted game for ps5 and then asked to be removed from the project , if the project was canned or not idk.

@Nyne11Tyme clearly fromsoftware wasnt happy with demon souls remake and the fact they had nothing to do with it , I doubt they would ever agree to bloodborne remake sadly. People need to move on already now that the truth is out.

honestly they were going crazy with this one yesterday , i swear there was like 6 or 7 different rumors going around , its an rpg , no its a action game , no its a action rpg , hopefully they'll announce it soon so we can finally see it.

@danzoEX honestly i always saw it as a long term investment and its paying off now , and games coming out now , are fully going to be better , including games already out as well.

@Spurs90075123 if you have a tv that takes advantage of the pro , with pssr 2.0 and games coming out that make great use of the pro i'd say keep it if you can.

@Rich33 its crazy that people say this , because having a pro and a base model , i can 1,000 see the difference , then again you also need a tv that takes advantage of the pro to start with , 120htz , vrr , and everything else needed for the pro.
