You can tell in this comment section the ones that have never had a problem with Sony and would name their firstborn Sony with a middle name of PlayStation if they could. Can’t possibly imagine defending Sony in any capacity in this situation. Same for Microsoft, Nintendo, Valve, and any other company.
Glitch or not, the silence is deafening for those that have their accounts they’ve poured time and money into being held hostage. Sony needs to do better and learn to communicate. It doesn’t cost them anything
At what point will you guys drop the PS5, PS4 for titles and just use PS or PS5? I wasn’t a PushSquare regular during the PS3, PS4 transition so I’m quite curious
And this is right around the time of another PS Plus price hike. I’d say not much of that is going towards security, and I have to wonder if any of it ever had since they made it mandatory to play online
@Darth_Stofi I agree, but the opposite. Baldur’s Gate 3 should’ve stayed PC exclusive, along with The Witcher, Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, Divinity Original Sin, Diablo, and more. They should’ve all stayed on PC so no one else outside of the PC community could get to enjoy them and become fans and give these studios the money they deserve for their hard work 🙄
So I guess they think $50 is a fair price for the convenience of not having to use a PS3 to play this anymore. And bad form of them to put it on Switch and skip PC. Something tells me RPCS3 and Xenia are about to get a flood of new users looking to get around that “convenience fee” and needing to still own a console of some type to play it.
That’s two for two fails from Take Two bringing older games to current gen systems. Please leave Bully and Midnight Club alone
It still struggles on PS5 and I played through 90% of it in resolution mode. I’m sure for the devs it’ll be a bit of a science experiment while for EA it’s just another cash grab. For me I’m interested to see the Xbox One’s attempt to run this.
It was a disaster as expected. The fact they had no measures against bots after the whole debacle during the height of the pandemic should be a wake up call that these companies have no loyalty to their fans. What’s worse is they could always make more but they artificially keep supply low by calling it limited edition. There’s no excuse anyone can make for Sony for these covers to end up in the hands of scalpers by the dozens
I really really hope this isn't another cash grab like the GTA trilogy. If it's good I'll pick it up on PC and PS5. One for the 4K surround sound experience and the other for the 1440p surround sound experience with mods
Well this puts a bit of pressure on me to finish Jedi Survivor in 4 days, and looks like I won't be doing a NG+ playthrough like I planned. Gotta make space for the main reason I bought a PS5, after all
I guess high pre-order numbers = high day one sales. I'm not a business major but I guess it's important to companies to have strong day one sales because especially on consoles the sales numbers drop off over time, and with this being a multiplatform franchise being made exclusive to one platform I can see them being at least nervous.
Also they've been marketing the living daylights out of this game especially in Japan and that's gotta cost a pretty penny
I bought this not too long ago. Now I know how some of you guys feel lol but honestly what’s the worse that can happen? Day & date like Xbox? Personally I wouldn’t really care so long as Sony keeps the games coming
@thefourfoldroot1 I can’t recall for PS4 but for PS5 the game would entirely copy to the console storage from the disc and then will download any updates. You can play the game immediately after it copies on PS5 while the patch downloads in the background, I usually just wait though.
I’m hoping Respawn or EA had the decency to put as much of the game data on the disc as possible which means a 50GB download for those of us that went physical. But then again how big will that day 1 patch be? 🤔
A shame they can’t seem to figure out how to get this to run properly. PC ports were doing great for awhile and then the quality just tanked late last year starting with Callisto Protocol it seems like
Their word of fixing a lot of stuff from the first game is what made me go back and attempt to finally finish it after 6 years. I really had to fight the urge to see that 100% completion rate on the map but i knew if I did that I'd just burn myself out again.
Finishing the story and jumping straight into the sequel will be a great treat and I sure hope they fix a lot of the annoyances from the first game because it was a slog to get through
His first phase isn’t even that difficult. I’m not the best at these type of games but once I got used to the deflect system it was super trivial to fight his first phase and not take any damage. The second phase was a completely different fight though
I would be fine with a lengthy story if it didn’t feel artificially bloated like Hogwarts Legacy. Forcing me to do a bunch of boring fetch quests or challenges to continue with the main story isn’t the way to go in 2023
I found that majority of the side quests were MMO like fetch quests and it just felt outdated and boring. It doesn’t help either that the map is full of collectibles like your typical Ubisoft game. I don’t really care for trophies/achievements but I’m not surprised that the ones for this game are equally as tedious, annoying, and grindy
I don’t have a horse in this race since I’m not tied down to one platform, but I do think it’s odd that anyone at Microsoft thought it to be a good idea to purchase Activision right after buying up Zenimax and all of its studios. Just seems greedy and unnecessary
I guess alienating and talking down to your core fan base isn’t a very wise business strategy. But putting that aside the game itself just looked and played like an Xbox 360 title. Maybe some of that marketing budget should’ve went into upgrading the game engine
@Titntin Mundfish is based in Nicosia, Cyprus. It’s being published by Focus Home Interactive based in Paris, France and 4Divinity based in Southeast Asia. I found this out through quick 3 Google searches. It took me far longer typing this comment than searching up that info…
@tselliot i still play my PS3 games. I’m not saying graphics and performance shouldn’t be pushed on consoles, I’m saying as a gamer I don’t care much for it on console. As long as I’m having fun and it looks good then I’m a happy camper
Call me old fashioned but I don’t care for graphics or performance on console. That’s what I have a gaming PC for. I play on console for the experiences like Sony’s first party games
Every time I get the opportunity to buy one I pass it up because I can't seem to justify the purchase. There aren't any games on it that interest me. I really wonder what people are playing for it to be in such high demand
I think it just needs a good sale. Sony has been pricing some of these ports really high for their age, granted Sackboy isn’t that old but it definitely needs more exposure
This gives me the motivation to get my A01 PS3 fixed.. it died while playing Uncharted 3, forcing me to purchase the trilogy on PS4 to finish my playthrough... would've been nice if I could've just put that PS3 disc into my PS4 instead even with the 720p 30fps limitations. I also miss playing RDR, Infamous, The Darkness, and many more gems stuck on that console
I never understood the love this game kept getting until I actually played it myself. It's a shame FromSoft didn't incorporate more gameplay elements from Bloodborne into Elden Ring... would've made that game a lot more enjoyable to me
This is why physical vs digital doesn't matter like it used to. When stuff like this happens to games that rely on servers, a dead game is a dead game and that disc is nothing more than a cool looking coaster now
@Legacy2K you should take a step back and see the reason why COD is the juggernaut it is, it didn't get that way being exclusive to one platform. By the time Microsoft bought Mojang, Minecraft was already pretty huge across multiple platforms. The amount they spent is irrelevant to what I'm talking about. I don't play COD but even I can see how much of a bad idea it would be to make it exclusive to Xbox. And no, Gamepass will certainly not keep it afloat. Not at the numbers the series has been used to over the years. Thinking otherwise is just wishful thinking for the console wars.
Also I don't have a horse in this race. The only Xbox I own is an Xbox 360. I game on PC and Playstation and I can see how awful these mind games Microsoft are playing are.
I seriously hope Microsoft does not make COD exclusive to Xbox. It cannot and will not survive if they do it. Timed exclusivity sure, maybe. But permanent exclusivity will spell death for COD. They left Minecraft alone for the most part, why all the mind games when it comes to COD?
