Re: 'Sony Finally Understands': Over 70% of PS5 Fans Agree with Decision to Scrap PC Ports

@neillaw Yes, I do need reasons. I didn't think I would need a reason to play console(s), until I got a PC. Prior to PC gaming, I only had consoles around & when I played them, it was for their exclusives, or for which (multiplayer) game had the bigger player-base, or which console had a better controller for the game. With PC gaming being so huge and so varied with games from M$ and $ony, plus the option to use any controller I please, and FREE ONLINE, with superior performance and mods, it's made it super hard for me to boot up console more.

"No, Sony needs reasons for you to use your PS5"

Yes, I agree. Seems like exclusives is the only way for them to do that at this point.

"seems you can use either your PC or your PS5 and your CHOICE would be to use your PC?"

Yes, I prefer PC, but I still like console gaming. I don't want to only have a PC around to play games, I like having options. Even if I don't use those options much, it's still great to have around whenever I do feel like it. I was raised on console, I'm never letting them go.

And I also have much more history on my console accounts vs my PC account thats only like 3 years old. Also friends that don't game on PC.

@BAMozzy The best times in gaming were when consoles had exclusives. Nothing tops 6th and 7th generation to this day, you could even slide 5th and 4th generation in there too.

I consider myself a real gamer because i like all brands and would like to own all three of their toys, but i need a reason to. I don’t like that PC is losing ps games, but if it’s for something better then i get it. This generation of playstation has been garbage and Xbox is borderline dead.

Re: Opinion: I Wonder if Xbox Helix Will Force Sony to Break Its PS6 Silence

I believe you’re looking too deep into it. Micro$oft (well, Xbox) as you said is free falling, they’ve been spitballing ideas and hoping something sticks for what seems like a decade. $ony, on the other hand, has no anxiety or urgency because the PS5 is giving them the best back rub of their life. PS5s are just flying off shelves left and right.

This is the best era for $ony because of third party live service games and microtransactions; the ps5 is a fortnite, COD, Madden machine for tens of millions.

Also because of live service and digital, Xbox former head admitted that they lost the worst generation because of digital data, games, and progress tied to accounts which is pretty ******* major

@Northern_munkey What if Xbox had the best exclusive racing sim you’ve ever seen coupled with a cutting edge steering wheel set that screamed late 2020s? and the greatest extraction shooter ever bundled with the xbox console @ 50% off; would you touch one then?

Re: Opinion: Sony's PC Pullback Is the Right Move for PS5

Also , Sammy, SM2 flopped on PC because it’s a mediocre sequel. It’s not a good game for the price, the first game was much better to a lot of people, myself included. The release of SM1 was huge, i remember having people on my friends list play it for weeks, SM2 just came and sort of went

Re: Opinion: Sony's PC Pullback Is the Right Move for PS5

Exclusives give me a reason to play my consoles over PC & i’ve always loved consoles, but i also love PC! so what to do? give me experiences on all 3 that i can’t get on the other.

They should keep porting their multiplayers though; even if it’s a game that has a single player campaign, just port the multiplayer half to pc please. i need that FREE online and superior performance for multiplayer 🙏

it would also give me a reason to buy the same game twice too - console for the full game , pc for the multiplayer so everybody wins

Re: Physical Game Sales Hit All-Time Low in the US

nomither6

@Queesh they don’t even make physical versions of games like they used to, so they were already losing their magic anyway. the last time devs actually cared about physical cases and putting goodies in them along with the full game was the middle of the ps3 era; towards the end of that generation it was practically gone.

@TrollOfWar @Gemini53 I wish there were more people like you guys around. I can’t stand the divisiveness & bigotry amongst the gaming space; i remember the pushsquare community at one point being far less toxic and free from that BS. Like @Gemini53 said, choice is king, and i’m a gamer that loves all my toys: Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox, and PC included.

It’ll always baffle me that people deliberately choose to shackle themselves to one device or platform.
