I’m not a saint gamer so i couldn’t care less about indie crap, i halfway agree with him - but i want diversity in AAA games again and AA. Indies can kick rocks, never really liked them but a small few & i don’t buy next gen consoles or tech to play some cheap indies

@trev666 it didn’t take off because there’s already several other active fps games like the finals where you play as a team with distinct characters with abilities in an arena . and the in-game announcers are annoying

@Bounty_Hunter is that why they bailed out of the home console space and only make handhelds now? The wii u failed so bad that it locked nintendo into only succeeding with handheld consoles. the 64, gamecube, wii were all outsold by their handheld counterparts so they killed off their home consoles and made the switch 😂

@Judal27 they probably do, but single player games are finite, one-and-done. those top games in the article have unlimited replay value because they’re multiplayer so naturally more playtimes gonna accumulate

@Enigk Because of no alternatives to replace what they’re playing or like, most likely. Also , multiplayer games have evolved so much and have gotten so huge that they’re called live services these days, so these type of games are just massive time sinks.

not to mention that multiplayer games barely even get sequels anymore so developers just milk the same game they’ve been updating for years

@darylb24 the ps5 pro is 800 and can’t play three generations of games though..nor did it have any true next gen features like the ps3. i mean, bluetooth, built in wifi, blue ray & rechargeable wireless controller was a pretty big deal for 2006 don’t you think? the xbox360 had none of that and was shoddy tech susceptible to break at any moment

The rest of your comment is pretty much just regurgitating the same talking point you've already said. Its about preferences, everyone has them. How many adults buy nintendo games or how much they sell has no bearing on the fact that their target audience is kids. Do you know how many adults enjoy the hell out of girl scout cookies? How does this make sense? you only have one target audience, not two. Yes, Nintendo has something for everyone (adults) sure, but the overwhelming majority of their catalogue and brand advertising is for kids - their target audience. thats not to say that adults aren't allowed to play them or something, but im just calling it like it is.

@JustinTimberlake they don't want to hear this. older generations are intentionally stubborn to anything beyond their upbringing with an irrational dogma of belittling the upcoming generation after them, and when you try to explain something to them they'll just call you a "smooth brain" or "brain rot" for things they've preemptively chosen to not understand. its really a vicious cycle and i dont know why people are like this.

@PuppetMaster glorifyings a bit much, i’m not glorifying it , i’ve just said what it’s done for me. And saying that i’ve personally learned better using Ai for a class in no way correlates to insulting how smart or unintelligent my teacher is. Everyone learns differently.

Also, i’m pro Ai if it’s used right as a tool. It’s a shame it’s harming the environment , but so does a lot of other things we use or do on a daily basis so it is what it is. People see microsoft and ai in one sentence and just go into hate mode

@HonestHick right on , right on 😂 totally forgot that the xbox series s can do that. that’s pretty awesome. Xbox should’ve been made a pc-like console years ago, that’s their field. i remember games for windows live back in the day that had some sort of integration with xbox360.

and im definitely down for PC being the all in one (its almost there for me already) box, but at the same time, i’m torn between exclusives staying on console or being on PC too. PC is too good and too much of a monster these days & i still like consoles! 😂 the steam machine is a console , but it’s still steam!

@11001100110zero it’ll be slow for sure. i know i ain’t getting one. the ps5 still has untapped potential and we’re at the peak of diminishing returns . the only way ps6 may get some real motion is if GTA6 releases a remaster on PS6

@RBMango i am. if everyone owns ALL three platforms, that is. i agree with you, i thought having no exclusives to any console was good at first, but its hard as hell to use my ps5 when the same games are on PC; i’d love for reasons to use my PS5 just as much (or even more) again!

and lord knows if it weren’t for smash bros and a few mario games that i wouldn’t touch my switch
