@Ludacritz facts. tbh the ONLY reason i enjoyed the beta so much was because hoverboards from sonic riders is in it. i don’t like sonic kart at all, but i got lucky with finding some enjoyment with this game

i voted that it’s just okay & wasn’t even born yet. ps3 is my GOAT; not gonna pretend like i didn’t spend most of my preteen/teen years on ps3 so i’d be hypocritical to not rank it the best playstation.

@SuntannedDuck2 i wholeheartedly agree with you, i much prefer older games from ps2/ps3 myself & don’t really jive with the direction or gameplay philosophies games take these days - BUT i also think that what makes games like sly so special is that they’re irreplaceable experiences of an era that i just don’t think would work today. thieves in time sucked mainly because everything just felt off about it for example. nonetheless, im down for a remaster of the trilogy and have been wanting that for YEARS - but a new game? hell no.

i also want to add that sly cooper used to be my most favorite playstation ip and is still one of my most favorite franchises ever. i love sly cooper, but i just have a strong feeling id be disappointed in a new take or game about a series i hold close

I unfortunately agree with the last two paragraphs. after recently replaying through the three games (we don’t talk about thieves in time) on my ps3 earlier this year, while still good games, really are a product of their time & it pains me to say it cuz i loved this series as a kid. It’s really telling when i liked sly 1 the absolute LEAST of the three games but now think its the best as a young adult - i think the first game ironically aged better in terms of its gameplay loop, i even platinumed it!

@4fold this list really brings into perspective how massive the casual market is of players that only buy playstations to play such a small handful of games with 99% of them being multiplayer or live service. I can’t really blame the state of this generations game variety output after seeing this , smh

@ilyn nope, i’m right with you. i like the fat ps5 design too, its reminiscent of the fat ps3 (and OG Xbox) to me in terms of bold & futuristic. i’m glad $ony still embraces quirky console designs in a time of minimalism & formality - even nintendo succumb to this with the switch 2.

@Ravix PS3 wasn’t a COD juggernaut machine like the Xbox360 was; i bet the list would be different if it were for Xbox. It’s a shame though, because the remakes are trash imo

simpler design, lol, they’re acting as if theyre coming off of the launch PS3 - we know $ony will never make an ambitious console like that again, the ps4 (albeit excellent) was proof of that & ps5 has always been overpriced for what it offers or more like doesnt.

nonetheless its a shame to be hearing about the the PS6 & next Xbox so soon, this generations potential was mostly wasted

absolute zero interest. completely jaded of these type of games & it doesn’t help that too many games look the same these days with the same boring sterile realistic look . how does this games graphics look any different than mafia old country, hit man WOA, AC Mirage, etc

i’m looking forward to ninja gaiden 4, borderlands 4, marvel tokkon, and sonic crossworlds - oh, and also waiting for doom dark ages to go on sale for cheaper

it’s so many ways to communicate with or understand your player base, use all social media not just one & then ascertain what’s mostly said across all sites/apps. in-game data helps, sure, but it’s just as simple minded as using only reddit as a source, because even that doesn’t tell the whole story.

and actually playing your own game helps too; make alt accounts and interact with players. it’s so many ways to utilize and gain feedback.

love to see it but i’m starting to miss console wars for the mere fact that playstation and xbox used to deliver bangers more back then

@Rich33 it’s a widely known issue. i mean, it’s good that you haven’t experienced it, but that would quickly change if you played shooters and fighters extensively

Man i didn’t think id like the game(beta) but once i saw that the hoverboards were a permanent feature that your character can use instead of a kart + custom paint colors and cool customizations + gadget mods and different builds you can make = i was sold. the tracks are all engaging and fun for better or worse, but there wasn’t a single track i hated. As someone that hates Sonic’s attempts at being mario kart ripoffs and prefer riders immensely - i couldn’t put the beta down & like this game! i played it so much i almost made it to b rank online and can’t wait til it drops . even though it ain’t worth the price tag AT ALL, take my $70 anyway because it ain’t a fun kart racer out at the moment let alone a fun multiplayer for me. this entire gen ive been starving for new fun multiplayer games so im sold.

i…actually enjoyed the sonic crossworlds open beta & can’t wait to play the full game! i had super low expectations but it satisfied me enough. yeah - the game definitely has flaws & problems but i just don’t feel like talking about it at the moment; complaining takes a lot of energy lol
