i’m gaming less regardless of tiktok & it has nothing to do with age, games are just meh now mostly

@11001100110zero i disagree, gears of war 4 & 5 were not only bad, but completely unnecessary, same with Halo 5. I get it from a business perspective - people have to make money right? but in terms of the series lore/authenticity/identity - gears 4 & 5 are garbage as gears of war games, and halo 5 too. Halo 4 had a good campaign and arguably could be considered necessary due to Halo 3s legendary ending, but either way both franchises wrapped up nicely and were done by the third game

this should have been a thing ages ago

@Balie3000 i super doubt it. gears flopped & halo has no place anymore , i could be wrong.

@Bizzy accounts are definitely for the better, and i’m sure you can still play games as a guest. I’d rather take accounts with save data over memory cards anyday. Playing a PS2 or GC without a memory card sucked because you couldnt turn your console off. also , installs are inevitable if you want technically bigger/“next gen” games without very long load times, even PC had to do away with playing games right away and needed to eventually install them.

what we lost along the way is variety of genres, free online, unique new IPs & creativity.

@Northern_munkey i blame wi-fi users not the ps3, & games like tekken 6 were notorious for having s*** online across both console versions. gta 5 (the last online game i played on 360) was laggy on Xbox360 with long loading times. never played the ps3 version though, but i heard it was the best version at the time. a good argument against the free online back then is the psn outage, that was really bad.

@Dogbreath Halo 4s campaign is very underrated. Halo 4 is the best campaign 343s ever made

Halo CE is my favorite halo campaign wise and even gameplay wise to an extent. I don’t care about anything 343/Halo Studios is doing because it’ll never be on the quality level of how Bungie handled this series 👎

I may get this game on a steep sale out of interest for Halo, but screw 343/Halo Studios

@Moonvalley2006 Don’t think that’s fair to say when Nintendo bailed out of the home console space and doubled-down on handheld , they lost permanently with the Wii U; and they’ve always got away with releasing a gen early like the switch and wii u and yet being compared to last gen consoles

but of course, Nintendo is the golden child of the industry so people just defend everything about them

We need Midnight Club back from Rockstar so bad, it’s an absolute shame that series is so slept on now. Midnight Club 3 Dub Edition was peak street/arcade racing , no other arcade racer has ever did it better to this day.

Imo, what makes 7th gen the best ever was because there were compelling reasons to own all 3 console brands, but nowadays the PS5 sells itself and $ony basically has no competition in the home console space which is why the PS5 has been the worst playstation to date

RIP to Xbox though , sure the brand MIGHT still be around but basically giving their identity and mascot to playstation is nasty work (i need to take a break from tiktok 😂)

@Lowdefal agreed. here in the states , the ps2 & GTA was much bigger than halo over here in my region. Many ppl still didn’t even know about xbox live back then or even had internet, myself included .

@T-Bone09 7th gen was by far the best generation. the competition was so good and the ambition from the big three were all peak , imo

@Noone2025 where’s the glaze? nintendo home consoles were mediocre & underperforming consecutively since the late 90s and 21st century with a brief exception of the wii and then back to mediocrity again, until they transitioned to their handheld consoles entirely with the switch. their hand held consoles were always successes. but their home consoles have subjectively sucked.

@Cikajovazmaj nintendo wii u was garbage and flopped though, the N64 was completely dusted by the PS1, the gamecube was their lowest selling console, the wii sold great initially but was abandoned by devs and consumers alike; what kept nintendo afloat is their handheld consoles which is what theyre good at like the switch.

funny how removable batteries is a want for ps users now, just goes to show you how bad the battery in the DriftSense is. The ps3 controller didn’t need to be recharged until next year 😂 $ony needs to remove the useless touchpad when or if they ever remove batteries
