this is really good news, but it ain’t gonna top BL2. the whole “going back to its roots” thing is rarely accurate with games/sequels because they almost are never as good.. but, hey, i’m glad they took notice of how guns (legendaries especially) dropped like freaking candy in BL3 and reverted it back to be more in-line with BL2! That means a lot to me, because the way BL3 treated legendaries was criminal

@AtlasLivesAgain the original CTR is better than mario kart for the most part; nitro-fueled is a poor man’s mario kart and a stain on the original. If NF was so great, it wouldn’t have died as fast as it did, or even died at all despite being released on all consoles unlike mario kart. The online was atrocious & the nitro-kart content is garbage. Most of us fans simply wanted a literal 1:1 remaster of the PS1 game with online & nothing changed except graphical improvements

@sentiententity I got into PC in 2022 & have generally had no issues. PC is the future baby 😁

They aren’t. but fanboys think they are when it’s convenient to bring up sales & then other times, they’ll flip flop & say “nintendos doing their own thing”. The switch competitor is steamdeck and other handhelds, not ps5/xbox consoles.

@Neverwild If it weren’t for PC players, gaming would be in a worse state, imo. at least they, uh, “cry” about important things that changes for the better.

if only console players “cried” enough about $ony and nintendo scamming people to pay again to use their own internet for online features & that’s just 1 example.

@BAMozzy agreed. atmosphere adds so much to a game & is part of its charm & identity and world itself. also, halo reach and gears of war 3 pretty much nailed a perfect balance between the two styles as well.

As someone that likes all console brands (even though i’ve been bashing nintendo the most for a while lol) i hope xbox stays in the industry as a console. the best years of playstation were when they had competition

@BAMozzy @TimeDelayedGamer I miss this type of artstyle & design in games so much. there’s way too many games these days that are oversaturated overly colorful fortnite looking clones (splitgate 2 being a recent one) & i hate it; even game series that don’t even fit the tone has mimicked it because bright colors apparently does attract people and brings more sales i guess

but i still hate it, and we should have some variety again, im glad doom the dark ages exists

yeah, nah, they shouldn’t. i know nintendos the golden child with all the bias and get out of jail free cards, but let’s not pretend that nintendo wouldn’t suffer a big loss if they started porting their games to PC; nobody values their horrible hardware, people are forced to buy it to play smash bros, mario kart & zelda.

Playstation will always have its place for the mere fact that there are people out there that genuinely prefer a console with the conveniency and simplicity that’s actually powerful enough to run modern games efficiently with maximum third party support - nintendo doesn’t provide that & hasnt for decades

i couldn’t care less, it never was a big deal to me to re-sync my drift senses. but i’d love for $ony to show more love to their legacy and retrofit the ps3/ps2 controller like how xbox did their OG duke controller, s controller, & 360 controller. & so does nintendo with the GC and 64 controllers
