Bandai Namco's arcade hero Pac-Man is next in line to come to Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, and he arrives very soon indeed.
An official teaser trailer reveals the premium DLC pack will be released on 7th January 2026:
Like Minecraft and SpongeBob SquarePants, the Pac-Man content is a paid DLC add-on, included in the season pass or available for separate purchase.
It'll include Pac-Man and the four ghosts as new playable racers, a unique vehicle, and a Pac-Man-themed race course. Presumably, we'll get to see more of these items in action once the DLC launches.
Pac-Man marks the middle of the announced premium DLC for CrossWorlds, with Mega Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Avatar content still to come.
On top of that, we're still getting free SEGA-owned characters, most recently NiGHTS. It's not clear how much more will follow throughout the rest of the year, but the kart racer has been pretty well supported so far. Hopefully it'll continue.

No, i couldn’t care less about any non-sonic characters in a sonic game
Recently started playing this game and I got addicted to it. I’ll be racing online soon.
I can’t wait. I love this game as much as I love Mario Kart….this will be a fun addition.
I bought the season pass. What a fun game. It's up there with Mario Kart IMO
