PS5 Download Charts 2025

PlayStation has revealed the 20 most downloaded PS5 games of 2025, split between North America and Europe.

In truth, there aren't many surprises here. Annual sports games took both top spots, with NBA 2K26 winning out in NA, and EA Sports FC 26 taking the crown in EU.

In both regions, the champions were followed up by a very similar list of titles. The likes of Grand Theft Auto 5 and Minecraft remain eternally popular, while Battlefield 6 made the top five in both lists.

Interestingly, Forza Horizon 5 did really well in Europe, hitting fourth place, but it could only manage 14th in North America.

Perhaps the most startling thing about these charts is that the former Xbox exclusive actually did better than Sony's own Ghost of Yotei in Europe — although it should be noted that the former didn't have a physical edition on PS5.

Still, it just goes to show how popular Xbox's PS5 ports tend to be; it's no surprise to see the Green Team continue its multiplatform efforts with the likes of Avowed, which launches next month, and Halo: Campaign Evolved, which is due out later this year.

Ghost of Yotei did a bit better in North America, sneaking into the top ten, falling just behind multiplayer smash hit ARC Raiders.

And speaking of shooters, the much criticised Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 didn't make the top five in either region, having to settle for seventh place. A sign, perhaps, of the game's reportedly low sales numbers (at least, by Call of Duty standards).

Meanwhile, mass Game of the Year winner Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 came tenth in EU, and 18th in NA. We'd love to know how many downloads came after all of the awards.

We suppose it's also worth mentioning which PS5 games didn't make the cut, despite gaining a lot of traction last year. Hollow Knight: Silksong, Death Stranding 2, Mafia: The Old Country, Metal Gear Solid Delta, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and Silent Hill F, just to name a handful, all missed out.
