The Merc with a Mouth is one of the most popular characters in the Marvel universe, and NetEase has spared no expense when it comes to Deadpool’s introduction to online shooter, Marvel Rivals.
As his introductory blurb reveals, “Wade Wilson is the full package – or so he claims”. And that means, rather than be consigned to one of the title’s traditional gameplay roles, he’ll actually span all of them.
You’ll be able to select whether you want ‘Pool to play as a Vanguard, Duelist, or Strategist, so he’ll have the ability to provide frontline support, damage, or assistance depending on your team’s needs and how you want him to play.

In addition, Deadpool will have access to an in-game comic book, which he can use level up throughout the course of each match. You can choose which areas of Wade’s kit you specifically want to bolster, which sounds like a lot of fun.
Wade’s arrival is all part of Marvel Rivals’ big Season 6 update, which will get underway on 16th January. You can also expect a new convoy map named Museum of Contemplation to be added later in the season, as well as various character buffs and nerfs.
Other additions and improvements include an overhaul to the Hero Proficiency system, with plenty of new rewards to earn.
