When I played the game upon release, I thought it was truly one of the best games I’ve ever played. Now watching, and being completely bored by, the HBO series, it does have me re thinking my original thoughts. Maybe the story and characters just wasn’t as compelling as I thought? I don’t know, but the game itself is incredibly well made. One thing I do know is I do not have any desire for a part 3.

This looks like a souls game, which is way out of my league, but damn this trailer was impressive. Kudos to the animators.

I couldn’t believe how bland and unoriginal the live service games they showed off looked. You could take the PlayStation studios tag off most of them and I’d think they were from Ubisoft or EA. I was fully expecting Sony to bring the same level of polish and quality of their single player games to them, but so far it just looks like chasing trends. Factions and the Horizon multiplayer game should be the level of quality we have come to expect from PlayStation, but all of these outside of Marathon will probably be shut down in a year.

Welp, that was genuinely the worst showcase they have ever done. Bungie saved the day for me, and Spider-Man 2 looked very good as expected. Very, very disappointed by this. The only thing not totally bumming me out by the future of PlayStation is that we still don’t know what the rest of their big first party studios are up to.

I really love DC comics, but I was apprehensive from the start because I think they’re overdoing the Harley Quinn/Suicide Squad thing. Now that I know it’s a live service game I’m definitely out. Here’s hoping for some great narrative driven single player DC games in the future under James Gunn and company.

If she’s involved this has a real chance at being good. I look forward to it!

After playing the Last of Us Part 2 I thought I’d never play a game as good. God of War Ragnorak came close. What a masterpiece, and a well deserved game of the year.

If Sonic Frontiers goes on sale again in the US I’ll grab that. I missed the 3 times it’s been on sale in the last 2 weeks.

the term Live Service Game doesn’t inspire confidence, but if anyone can make something truly great out of it, it’s Sony. Killzone or Resistance would be really fun, but I say bring back MAG!

Haha that’s awesome! I had never heard of these games until he mentioned them in an interview years ago. Such an amazing series, and really cool to see him in the game.

I’m honestly mostly excited for the ps3 Sly Cooper games. The main appeal of the service for me is to play all the ps3 games I either missed the first time around, or haven’t played in several years. The other games added this month are very strong too. PS Plus is shaping up to be a great service.

Feels like Hollywood is keen on making video game movies the next big thing after superheroes.

I think I’ll finish up Stray this weekend. After that, I’ll continue re playing Uncharted 4 on the PS5. Have a great weekend everyone!

@itsfoz I believe it has already been said by HBO it is coming in 2023. Also, considering it only finishes filming tomorrow, there is a lot of work to be done.

Wouldn't expect anything less from the folks over at ND. This is going to be a masterclass in multiplayer experiences that will set the standard.

Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding have only been great for PlayStation, so no surprise if they want to continue their partnership.
A Death Stranding sequel would be exciting, but first I'd rather see an original game and find out what else him and his team can come up with.

While I do not like the sound of an open world Resistance game at all, I’m just not into open world games in general, there are not many other franchises I would like to see return more than Resistance. I would happily settle for a remastered trilogy similar to Mass Effect.

I'm definitely going to pay the upgrade fee to replay the Uncharted games on my PS5. I really am looking forward to Horizon Forbidden West, but I have a few other games I'd like to finish up first. When I do get that game it should last me quite a bit, and will be the only purchase until possibly Forspoken.

I heard all the hype for GoTG and gave it a shot. The characters are incredibly annoying, I don't know if I can go back to it lol. They just seem like desperate attempts to be just like the movie versions.
My vote goes to Hades for sure. That is a tough one to beat.

I've never played this game, but I can't pretend all these recent events haven't got me intrigued. Might be worth giving it a shot this weekend..

@KundaliniRising333 There is zero risk of Naughty Dog resembling anything close to Ubisoft lol. For my money, they're the best studio working today, and Ubisoft is..definitely not.

Always warms my heart to see the Insomniac and Naughty Dog cards.

On my PS, I'll be jumping between Spider-Man Remastered and Kena Bridge of Spirits. I might also finally start Guardians of the Galaxy. Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm really excited about this, especially with the added haptic feedback. I can replay Uncharted games forever, they never get old!

Finally! I'll be even more excited if they can bolster their ps3 lineup, with Tools of Destruction and Resistance 2 in particular.

I really want to get Lost in Random and the Mass Effect Legendary edition, but I just know they'll both end up on EA Play as soon as I buy them.

This makes sense considering there hasn't been a beta test yet, and it's supposedly coming out next month.

Maybe it's just the music, but I really loved that lol. It's weird and makes no sense, but still really cool nonetheless.

I'm really interested in that Tennis game. If I want to play at least one of the games each month, then it's a win for me.

I thought it was great. Deathloop looks great, can't wait to jump back into Death Stranding, and Lost Judgement is not surprisingly going to be awesome. Not sure what others who were so disappointed were expecting, but I thought it was a very good showing.

Deathloop looks great, so excited for more of that. What I'd like to see the most is an update on that ps5 indie Season.

This is the first time in a while where I'm really excited for what EA is doing. I'm especially looking forward to Battlefield.

@JonahFalcon I'm well aware of that Xbox feature. This isn't like that at all, is it? This is the game updated with all new DLC and
bunch of other new content. Why would you expect that to be free?

Did people think they were going to get all this for free?

He also said recently they only acquire studios when it makes sense for both parties involved. In most cases a partnership is the right way to go. I trust Sony and their instincts when it comes to which studios to acquire. All of these partnerships sound really exciting.

Mark Wahlberg was seen on set with a stache, and he posted some Instagram picture with one while he was still filming. It's safe to say he'll have one in the movie at some point. Why they chose to make it some big reveal, I don't know, but it's going to happen!

@Spoonman-2 I agree 2020 was fantastic. A really great series. I could be wrong, but it seems EA acquired them fairly recently, so this game must have been in development long before that. So, if EA messes anything up it'll be next year's game!

The Pathless, Godfall, or Death Stranding would be nice.

I played one match of this game and had a hard time finding a lobby. It's fun, but I needed space on my console and this was an easy one to delete. If this wasn't given away on Plus it would have been a massive failure.

Yes, this is incredibly stupid and convoluted for no reason at all. I'd be more annoyed by this if I had a bunch of armor I wanted to turn to ornaments, but there's only like 2 or 3 I'm looking forward to doing. It's still a dumb way to go about this, and I won't be surprised if the complaints from players will make Bungie change things up. They are usually good at responding to fan feedback, they just need to stop shooting themselves in the foot to begin with.

This is really exciting! I've been waiting for a while for Sony to get back into the multiplayer genre, with something like MAG or a new Killzone. This sounds really promising.

Really excited for this. Been holding off on replaying the game until the next gen upgrade arrives. Those screenshots look so good!

Days Gone didn't appeal to me in the slightest, but a bummer for fans of the game. I'm totally okay with and understand this reasoning. Why waste resources, money and time on games that will just be okay? Putting all their eggs into Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Sucker Punch, Santa Monica and Guerilla Games sounds great to me!
