EA and Codemasters have announced who will grace the cover art for the next Formula One racing title. F1 2021, the first game in the franchise since EA's acquisition of the developer, is coming to PlayStation 5 and PS4 this summer, and now we know who to look out for on store shelves.
The artwork will be shared between Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, and Charles Leclerc, three of the motorsport's top drivers.
In related news, EA has confirmed some details on the content featured in the digital deluxe edition of the game. If you fork out for this version, you'll be able to choose one of seven iconic drivers in the My Team mode. They are: Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Jenson Button, Nico Rosberg, David Coulthard, and Felipe Massa. You'll be able to pick one of these famed drivers for your custom team, which is pretty neat. The above new trailer shows each of them off in turn, revealing their ratings.

F1 2020 was superb, here’s hoping EA don’t mess it up 🤔
@Spoonman-2 I agree 2020 was fantastic. A really great series. I could be wrong, but it seems EA acquired them fairly recently, so this game must have been in development long before that. So, if EA messes anything up it'll be next year's game!

F1 2021 better has crossplay.
Reading the latest blurb from EA the deluxe edition has pitcoin currency... I'm reserving judgement until we hear more, but EA being EA I've gone from very interested to cautious.

Personally until they drop current gen (3 years away) I can’t see any radical graphical improvements… sadly

Day 1. It was a life saver during pandemic - they have done a fantastic job capturing F1 with it.
Did PC last time - but now with the PS5, time to go back to consoles.
Leclerc is only on there because of Ferrari. It should've been Lando.

@Waffles12415 well considering Leclerc beat Norris in a much slower car last season in the standings then no, norris doesn't deserve it more.

2020 on the PS4 was great - a few crashes from time to time and the weird situation when racing in classic cars on split screen, the top player got 2 pit crews super imposed over each other and the bottom player got no pit crew and seemed to be about 500 yards behind the back marker car with no car!
This should be just as good and looking forward to it on the Pro.
@Waffles12415 I love Lando but honestly Leclerc is a better driver, up there with Max in my opinion he's just had a sh*t car.
