Retro side-scrolling fans, listen up: the superb Gravity Circuit is getting a PS5 sequel in 2027.
Made once again by Finnish studio Domesticated Ant Games – I have to say, that’s one helluva developer name – the release promises more pitch-perfect action platforming, with two protagonists allowing you to pick your playstyle.
The press release explains:

“Kai brings along his familiar close-quarters combat: Fierce punches, hookshot-based grapples, and plenty of speed. Cable, on the other hand, offers a more long-ranged approach: Pepper your enemies from a distance, chain multiple jumps to stay airborne, and use his powers to turn defeated foes into scrap that you can use as ammunition.”
As you play you’ll unlock different boosters and modifiers from bosses which will allow you to further refine your playstyle, allowing you to experiment and settle on a loadout that works for you.
The original game achieved an outstanding Metacritic score of 89 on PC, and is currently available on the PS Store at up to 60% off for PS Plus subscribers, so may be worth a look while you wait for this.
In the meantime, you can check out the sequel’s announcement trailer embedded above. On your radar? Let us know below.
