New Tomb Raider PS5 Screenshots Leak Ahead of Today's State of Play 1

Update #2 []:

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, the reimagined Unreal Engine 5 adaptation of Lara Croft’s classic 1996 adventure, will officially launch on 12th February for PS5.

A new trailer shows off completely overhauled stages from the original, including “Peru’s lost valley” and the “crumbling ruins of Greece”.

The highlight for me? The return of dinosaurs – some of them feathered!

As reported via leaks earlier, those who pod out extra for the Deluxe Edition ($69.99) will get advanced access 48 hours early, from 10th February. The base release will cost $59.99.

Here’s what you get in each version:

Standard Edition ($59.99)

  • Full Game
  • Early Access Survivor Outfit

Deluxe Edition ($69.99)

  • Full Game 48 Hours Early
  • Early Access Survivor Outfit
  • Early Access Parisian Fugitive Outfit
  • Post Launch DLC Story Pack

Update #1 []:

Okay, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is definitely appearing during today’s State of Play. We now have a leaked release date, courtesy of Steam code pre-orders which were temporarily spotted on Amazon by a Blue Sky user.

Here’s the main news: the game will release on 12th February, 2027. It looks like Amazon just couldn’t get the game finished in time ahead of GTA 6’s planned 19th November launch.

All pre-orders will come with an early unlock of the Survivor Outfit, inspired by the more modern Tomb Raider games.

Those who purchase the Deluxe Edition will also unlock 48 hour Early Access, an advanced unlock of the Parisian Fugitive outfit, and a post-launch DLC story pack.

Expect to see a new trailer in just a few hours, during Sony’s livestream. You can watch that through here.

Original Story: Five new screenshots of PS5 remake Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis have accidentally been added to the game’s PS Store page, practically confirming an appearance during today’s State of Play.

The images show protagonist Lara Croft in a variety of different situations, including facing off against some feathered dinosaurs, which is sure to get fans excited.

I love Lara’s character model, and all of the architectural art design looks outstanding in these new images.

While it could be an unrelated mistake, I predicted the game would appear during State of Play over the weekend, due to the franchise’s historical association with PlayStation. That feels like a lock right now. I suspect we’ll get a release date today, too.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, of course, is a reimagining of the original PS1 game, designed to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary this year. It’ll be followed by all-new game Tomb Raider: Catalyst, which is due out next year.
