Well all they need to do is ask that the reviews only come out a month after release!

It looks like Sony has put some serious scare tactics out there. If a company like Sony can scare lots of sites in to not reviewing a game on release it raises the question whats the point of the games media? This has set an very uneasy precedent. Whats to stop other publishers doing this in the future.

@LifeGirl Fully agree this decision does make me wonder about there integrity. If the game was free to play there could be an argument for delaying a review but they want £35. In my opinion Bungie are one of the worst developers in live service so them getting a free pass is unbelievable.

So the developer who took paid content away from players are now asking for reviews to be delayed. A bit disappointed how much Push Square have been hyping this with Bungies previous issues.

I think the recent advertising of this has been misleading its made it look single player game which it is cleary not. Even the state of play stuff made it look more single player then multiplayer. But for some reason Push Square seem to be pushing this hard ignoring Bungies previous indiscretions.

@Ainu20 Thank you I thought I was going crazy this is blatant ripping off a copyrighted IP, of course its going to get legal action or else everyone would just be making Mario and Sonic games. Even called it Bloodborne top down arena at least come up with a different name!

Probably because a lot of people feel this has been one the most disappointing generations. Its been full of remakes sequels and remasters. The cross gen went on to long it feels only in the last year we have PS5 only games. I dont think there has been a game this year that has used the PS5 to its full potential. I do feel a PS6 will be such a minimal improvement on what we have now.

The tag line does make it seem like a shill piece. Push Square always seem to overlook Bungies previous crimes. People need to remember Bungie took paid content way from players. There gunplay is second to none there business practices are the worst in the business.

If its the kids in mechs it will be a wasted opportunity in my opinion. I dont like any of the mech suit characters like Morty, Bart and Lisa. The fun with weapons versions would make the most sense.

Seems a bit mean spirited. Nothing to exciting so don't think I will bother seems they have really dropped the ball since the excellent Simpson season

Bungie a big example of how not to do things. They should have made Destiny 3 years ago in a new engine. But instead of that they have wasted money on getting a star war licence.

Can your oppnents see your pets if so surely thats going to be make you easier to spot

@Flaming_Kaiser Think your anger is not directed in the right place there has definitely been a falling out between Clap Hanz and Sony. So I think some anger should be directed at Sony themselves.

As usual lots of sequels and remakes but going by the comments thats what people want. Wolverine looked good and liked the art style of the book game but apart from that not a lot for me personally.

@LordGlarc I will give you crash but seems to have died again. Ratchet was a complicated time as Insomniac were flirting with Xbox (sunset overdrive) before being purchased by Sony.

Resident Evil they have always been making games for that series with countless spin offs and multiplayer games I wouldnt say Resi 2 inspired 7 or 8 as they were in a completely different style (1st Person) you could say it inspired more remakes 3 and 4.

Silent Hill will have to wait to see if anything comes of that. Also Silent Hill and resident evil are remakes not remasters.

Do you have examples of a remaster of a old game in a seemingly dead franchise that has then prompted a sequel?

If the original sells well then we get sequels and remasters. But we are not getting a new Dead space, Lollipop Chainsaw, Spyro or shadows of the damned any time soon I am sure Dead space remaster sold well. I have never known a remaster reignite a franchise that was dead.

This pretty much sums up why Sony can get away with the low effort this gen. Why people preorder a digital game is beyond me its not like its going to sell out. People thinking if this sells they will commission a sequel. When has that ever happened? People still keep buying enough of these remasters that Sony don't have to take risks.

@Flaming_Kaiser its streaming on paramount + in the UK did take a few months before it finally came to the UK.

So little point having PS plus extra if you only have PS4 as games will leave each month and wont be replaced.

I was in the exact same position every trophy but the original pac man trophy. Not sure why Pac man is getting so much hate its a very nice remaster

If Sony want any of these live service games to be a hit they need to drastically change there strategy. They need to show these games often and give updates and not show it 3 months before release like with Concord. They need to build hype for these games. There trend of radio silence this gen isnt gone to help them.

how have they not made either of them in VR. Someone needs to make VR Time Crisis and Point Blank

Never understand why you would do an exclusivity deal for a game like this. You need the game to take off if you wait to release it on all platforms there is a good chance another Multiplayer game will get there before you. I always thought it was a huge mistake for Pubg to do a deal with Xbox it allowed Fortnite to take a lot of its potential players on Playstation.

I used to watch a fair bit of Giant Bomb a lot less nowadays and watch a fair bit of nextlander. I usually watched them to see there thoughts on games and actually got me interested in lots of games I normally wouldnt have tried or even known about like I only found out about Cat Quest through Giant Bomb. But I do play way more then I watch.

Not being able to extend at a discount has cost them money this year. I would have extended my extra last year if it would let me. It didn't my sub has now run out and will downgrade to standard ps plus from now on.

The problem this could cause it could spread the playerbase a bit to thin in some modes. I tried fortnite a few years ago and the OG season last year was not for me it was completely different from how the latest BR maps played. I have completely skipped this second OG season. Since they have introduced all these new modes the quality of the updates has slipped massively.

If Sony are serious about the live service push they need to stop bringing Bungie into the discussion. Bungie live service model is the worst in the business so as soon as Sony mentions Bungie they lose all credibility in my eyes.

Yeah not sure what difference 1 week makes. I would guess a lot of people would only have time/money for one of these games in that short period of time. 3 to 4 weeks would make more sense.

I hardly buy games day one anymore. Astro bot maybe the only game this gen I have bought day one. Most games have bugs day one so if you wait you get a better deal financially and experience wise. With a huge backlog I am more then happy to wait. I havent even purchased spiderman 2 yet.

Yeah I never understand the not playing a game if hasn't got trophies. I am guessing all these people dont date/marry unless there partner gives them a gold star for taking the trash out, washing the dishes etc.

Had a lot of fun with Dead Island 2 for a game in development hell turned out quite well, so I would recommend that. For anyone thats interested Ghostbusters can be done solo with bots.

The 30th aniversary console should have been by invite only offer, it to people that have trophies on the ps3,4 and 5, Or have been PS plus subscribers for a certain period. Once they have at least offered it to there main fans then it can go on general sale.

Thing we will not know is how many are being bought by scalpers. I presume Sony has a rough idea of how many PS5 pro they are going to sell this year wonder if they have enough disc drives to cover that.

@Barryburton97 Yeah I have been casually on the lookout for a cheap OLED but not hugely bothered at the moment unless a good deal comes up. So for me it would have to be an upgrade on the TV first before considering the pro and there is no way I can justify both, its very hard to justify one at the moment!

I think something that seems to being overlooked is that you would need an expensive TV to get the full benefit of the upgrade. So with me with my few years old 4K Samsung tv without full HDR I would not benefit much from the pro. You need a OLED and full HDR screen and a right size screen and be the right distance away from it to get the full benefit.

Yes it’s to expensive but as seen in the comments there is enough people that will blindly buy it so it won’t flop. Sadly this doesn’t surprise me this gen with Sony they don’t seem to know what there customers want.

I have attempted to complete 8 3 or 4 times in the past never got further then the 2nd disc. Loved triple triad but always lost momemtum playing the game. I picked up the remastered version the other week so may have one final go to get through it hopefully the cheats will get me over the line.

Another poor decision by bungie and Sony. Destiny needs to be on a new engine they should have made destiny 3. This should have been done 2 or 3 years ago when they took away paid content from everyone.

What a baffling take. So by that definition any game that gets a new game + mode added after release ( happens a lot these days) is a live service game. You could argue if a game got multiple updates/content that could be classed as a live service game. Astro had 1 update!

The thing is Astro could become a good live service game they could add a new time trial or challenge levels each week/month to keep people coming back. I think you may have lost a bit of respect from a lot of readers for this article

@riceNpea Please explain to me how these great business people created this demand. What did bob living in his mum basement do to create this demand. They are are taking advantage of this new demand but they didnt create it. I sold a disc copy of Deadpool a month or so a go for a nice bit of profit. I am definitely not calling myself an entrepenure or claiming i created the demand.

@riceNpea Why are you crediting them as entrepenures? They didnt create the demand. Sony created the demand unless these people intentionally didnt sell there copies so the game would fail spectacularly.

There is a perceived demand as people are of the thought that this will be worth something in the future. Whether it is worth anything in the future is up for debate. This has happened with physical copies before on games like Too Human and X-men Destiny they had to be recalled and selaed copies did for a time go for a lot of money. I think what you don't seem to be grasping is people think a sealed copy of Concord could be worth a lot of money in the future. I am not saying I agree with these people but that is there thinking and thats why there is a demand.

If it has any chance of being a hit Sony need to start showing gameplay now and not leaving it to a couple months before release. This way the studio can make any adjustment to feedback recieved.
