Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Ends the Trilogy in April, Loads of New PS5 Gameplay Revealed

Note to self - book week off in April.

I think this has the potential to be incredible from a gameplay perspective, but I must admit that seeing all of the icons and completion percentages on the map made me very nervous.

I'm excited to see how the Remake trilogy ends and how it'll differ from the OG's story.

I worry they will over complicate the battle mechanics with chocobo's and Job systems (I also don't like the job outfits but I know thats a personal thing. Mainly me being used to the original outfits for 30 years. Do worry about the sheer amount of icons looks like it could be a lot of open world busy work.

The real hero of this showing is the Collector's Edition screenshot on the Square Enix Store that confirms two Story DLC (Sephiroth, Vincent & The Turks). 🫡

@ShogunRok As someone who did everything in Rebirth and loved it I really hope they haven't scaled things back much in Revelation for those who didn't want to.

I wonder how miffed Keighley is that he only got a trailer for his show, hyped it up as the runner-up highlight of Gamescom opening night... aaaaand a week later Sony steals his thunder and then some.

(I had to laugh at them 2x speeding the dialogue towards the end. I'm sure it's not the message they were going for, but 'better if you skip it' is Threemakes side chatter in a nutshell.)

@dv_xedge Thanks for the dlc info. Was going to preorder this and play it day 1 but I should have know better. They’ll probably be announcing a part 4 before too long. Modern gaming is rubbish.😝

@rjejr The DLC is for story content for other characters, doesn't seem to have anything to do with the main game, just as DLC was decades ago.

@rjejr I'm sure it'll be a full experience without the DLC... maybe even too full if Rebirth is anything to go by!

Looks incredible. It's a day-one purchase for me (on PC).

@AlexPorto I'd like to get it on PC, but on PS5 my brother and I can both play with the one digital copy. Tough decision.

Not gonna watch any more gameplay videos as i did for rebirth, dont want to spoil anything!

I'm surprised that i got bored watching the 10 minutes gameplay despite i enjoyed Remake (not yet played Rebirth).

Something really turn me off. Maybe because those gazzilions of icons filling up the map / screen? Or maybe i'm just had enough of FF VII? Hmmm.....

@crossbit Geoff got the better trailer, I don't think he'll be too mad. Especially as Square would have paid good money for that spot.
