These 3 Classic PS2 Games Are Coming to PS Plus Premium Soon 1

One of the lowkey better moments during these recent State of Plays has been Sony confirming some upcoming retro content for its PS Plus Premium subscription tier.

And we actually got some PS2 bangers during today’s presentation.

The immediate lineup is as follows:

While this does imply Sony will be sticking to its usual flow of one retro title per month, that’s a strong trio as far as I’m concerned.

Gitaroo Man, from 2001, has that oddball PlayStation energy that fans of PaRappa the Rapper will appreciate. It’s a really fun and unique rhythm game.

Meanwhile, Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, from 2004, is a pretty cool third-person shooter with telekinesis and physics powers.

Finally, I think Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams is going to be a great appetiser for Capcom’s all-new game, coming in September. This one was a relatively late PS2 exclusive from 2006, and was very strongly received at the time.

A good mix of titles here, then, and a trio I’m certainly eager to replay. Let’s hope they all add Trophies too, unlike Bandai Namco’s recent additions, like Time Crisis.
