Re: Poll: Are You Sick of Soulslike Games?

bindiana

If there were a lot more normal character action games then it wouldn’t be a problem but it seems 90% of character action games are souls like. It seems most developers have got lazy and just chasing trends instead of making something unique.

Re: Marvel Rivals' Closed Beta Is Putting Concord's Player Numbers into Perspective

bindiana

Sony seems to have made bad decision after bad decision with Concord.

The state of play reveal was bad as didnt really show any gameplay and a lot of cinematics which initially gave off a different vibe of game then it was. In the same state of play they advertised Marvels Rivals a direct competitor.

Then decided to charge for the game again when most rival games are F2P.

In my opinion this isn't my type of game but I think Concord looks a lot better then Marvel rivals from the gameplay I have seen would of possibly given Concord a go if it was free. But most people will know Marvel Rivals will do quite well just off the Marvel name alone.

Re: Poll: How Would You Rate Summer Game Fest and Its Surrounding Shows as a Whole?

bindiana

I think the gaming industry is in a tough spot at the moment. Xbox did have a couple of different looking games. But all shows seem to have same looking games how many soulslike games did we see last week. There were at least 3 5v5 team PVP shooters. We dont seem to get to much new and exciting as I have said many times before this gen seems to be Remakes, Sequels and Souls likes.

Re: PS5 Fans Beg Sony for a More Fulfilling Livestream in the Aftermath of Xbox Show

bindiana

My opinion is Microsoft had a good selection of games to show did get me a little excited which is something Sony hasn't done for a while. One of the negatives was that there was not a lot of gameplay in a lot of the trailers which Sony is usually better at it. Sony's problem is they are being so tight lipped about everything I think a lot of people would be a lot happier if Sony had trailers and announcements for a couple games that are further out. We don't need to know every game they are making but one or two would go a long way to build a little bit of hype.

Re: We Heard You Like Dark Fantasy Action RPGs! So, Here's WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers on PS5

bindiana

So it seems like hack and slash and crazy combo action games have become niche genres for some reason. As I have said multiple times why does every action need to be souls like its boring now. Been duped so many times last few weeks seeing these games in cool settings then show the combat as souls like. As others said this is the 6th or 7th similar looking setting game we have seen in 2 weeks surely a lot these will fail due to oversaturation.

Re: Everybody's Golf Dev Skips PSVR2 for New VR Golf Game

bindiana

Do feel there was a massive falling out between Sony and Clap Hanz. Easy come Easy golf isn't out on Sony consoles but out on the switch. Not a big golf fan but put so many hours into the Everbodys golf games over the last few generations. Loved the PS2 one where you could play as Ratchet and Jak.

Re: PSN Data Says Foamstars' Future Is Bleak, Just Two Months After Release

@Flaming_Kaiser You did get some cosmetics free in the battle pass I never paid for the battle bass and think I got 6 cosmetics and a character but there were about 35 levels on the pass so a low % was free. It is a shame as if they got the monetisation right could have some legs but I played for one season and a few games into the second season then dropped it.

Re: Reaction: What Is Happening to the Video Games Industry and Why Are There So Many Layoffs?

bindiana

I think its a lot to do with money and time. A lot of people who have the income to buy new games also don't have the time as they work or have families. A lot of games these days are at least a minimum of 30 hours to complete. I used to buy a lot of games day one I cant remember the last big game i bought day one that wasnt an indie. I am a huge FFVII fan but I havent bought rebirth.

I like a lot of people i expect have a big backlog that seems never ending and with games getting reduced very quickly it seems wiser to wait then play day one, as usually there are a few bugs day one as well so when you get round to playing it is usually fully patched.

Re: Guerrilla's Online PS5 Horizon Game Survives Sony Cull

bindiana

@TwoDents And multiple people have expressed the same opinion as me but I havent told anyone else there opinion is irrelevant. I and other people are putting across why it feels like there has been lots of entries. Its fine you don't see them all as entries but other people do. Again my opinion, so again sorry if you think its wrong all the games and expansions even the VR game have been heavily advertised by Sony (where I live anyway) when they were released which again would cause the effect of over saturation

Re: Guerrilla's Online PS5 Horizon Game Survives Sony Cull

bindiana

@TwoDents Thanking for letting me know my opinion is irrelevant I stand fully corrected I will consult with you in the future if I ever try and have another opinion. Hopefully your day is now wonderful now that you have establlished yours is the only opinion that matters.

Re: Guerrilla's Online PS5 Horizon Game Survives Sony Cull

bindiana

@TwoDents Not sure what narrative you think I am "Pushing" I was pointing out that Horizon had 5 products out in the last 7 years. Actually praising them that the expansions are substantial and not quick cash grabs. My opinion the expansions are of good length and quality they should be considered proper entries. Sorry other people don't agree with that but thats my opinion.

Re: Immortals of Aveum Cost $125 Million, Branded a 'Truly Awful Idea'

bindiana

I seriously dont understand all the hate the game gets. I enjoyed the game it was one of the best looking games I played last year. It was a huge risk but least they tried something new and not another sequel, remaster or soulslike. But as others said have to question the £40million marketing budget what did this actually pay for?
