Cool game. I still have my Game Boy cartridge. There is already a game on Steam but I do not remember what version it is.

In fact most of Sony's games are Steam Deck verified and perform quite well. Sony's gamble kind of worked out in my case. I have played all Horizon, Spiderman and the Last of Us games on my Deck.

Now the "Deck verified" does not mean that the game always perform well. For example The Last of Us part 2 plays very well but Spiderman 2 not that well even though it is now verified.

Sophia was PlayStation maskot for a while. BAT was supposed to be an exclusive rivaling Virtua Fighter but it ended up being ported to the Saturn in the end.

This game quickly aged badly but there is certainly a nostalgia factor. Too bad they may not include the PAL exclusive fourth entry

It is time to protect Gamindustri's piece, again! I had no idea those were coming. Seems that there are ports of the Vita/Steam versions? I have preordered Xillia, Dragon Quest and, of course, Mortal Kombat. Next weekend will be busy!

I firstly played Football Manger in an old crappy PC back in my student days, just when it changed name from Championship Manager. I then bought all the PS Vita ports (wow it feels like a lifetime ago) and spent countless hours there before going to sleep with the 'just one more match' mentality.

I haven't played a game since but I think this year this will be rectified...

@Balaam_ Yeah, but try taking the TV with you. I have to travel a lot and if it wasn't for the Steam Deck I would play way less games. Heck, due to this, if I wasn't a huge Final Fantasy fan I wouldn't even have bought a PS5.

@tameshiyaku No, no no! This Apple Arm nonsense must stay away from both Gaming and Productivity PCs. Arm is simply too underpowered for serious gaming or for serious anything.
As for the other stuff you mentioned I agree. The new Ally does not seem to be a generational leap from the first Ally or the Steam Deck. And you cannot really compare it to a PS5 or a gaming PC.

Very cool. Final Fantasy games are the only physical games I still collect. I may get the pack if it is confirmed that all patches, dlc and updates are on the disks.

Thanks for the review. I am waiting for my preload. Hopefully I will enjoy the game more than Yumia. It is not that Yumia is bad but it is "more" open world than it should be with the millions "?" in the world map.

By far the best think from the presentation were the speakers. Too bad they will be overpriced and most probable closed source.

This is cool. I played the original in the PSP back when it launched. It was kind of a showcase for the system.

Sony releases Horizon Zero Dawn remake. Community: Why you are re re releasing old games that play well in both PS5 and 4. Sony releases remake of Bloodborne. Community: Yeah!!!!! Bring it on!

Seriously, I have not played Bloodborne in ages but I had the impression that, after the recent patches, the game performance is adequate even on the old PS4.

Europe is a huge region for Sony. That is why they keep increasing the prices on the region!
By the way Switch 2 is a bit expensive in Spain and mainland Europe going easily for 500€.

I would prefer the last two to be some more mainstream ones like Iron Man, Captain Marvel or Paul Rabin. Other popular characters like a Mary Jane skin for Venom can come as DLC.

Trolling aside I look forward to the game.

@ShogunRok Thanks for getting back to me. I haven't really thought the nostalgic factor... I now have to try the demo and see if it hits me. I still have in display the original PSP version limited edition from Ghostlight. Same thing happened last month, even though I have beaten MGS3 more times than I remember I really enjoyed the remake.

There are some things I did not like that much in recent games that I don't want to spoil here but I am afraid the series has become stale as far as the supposed central narrative goes. Let's see if I still have this opinion as I finish Daybreak 2.

@ShogunRok I am currently playing Daybreak 2 so it may be some time till I get to this, I really am feeling the fatigue for this series.

Without spoiling anything is there new story content for us folks that have already played the game? I have played the original version 3 times already, believe it or not.

I am a huge fan of Trails but that said am I the only one that thinks that the series is going nowhere? That said I have not beaten Daybreak 2 yet.

Unless you like in UK or Germany or a big country it is not always true that physical is much cheaper than digital. Also, some titles may be out of stock simply because they do not order a large amount of copies. Silent Hill 2 was 80€ in the PSN store, ~70€ + shipping in local stores but out of stock. I ended up paying ~50€ from greenmangaming or cdkeys I don't remember and played the game in my Steam Deck.

To be honest if I was not a huge Final Fantasy fan the PS5 would be a bit irrelevant for me with Sony releasing the games firstly in PS4 and then on Steam. I would 100% be on if we had proper physical games but there are a thing of the past with disks that either do not have all the data or need a one day patch making offline play not viable. Last time I was without internet connection I tried to play the PS4 version of the Callisto Protocol and the game played between a slideshow and a goal slow motion replay. After updating the game played as it should. I also have 3 (!) different disk versions of FF15 and neither one has the whole game. This is why I only collect physical games for older generations.

I get that getting into PC gaming may be hard but soon Steam OS and Windows 11 for gaming will solve the problem of not being "plug and play". In the end of the day digital is way better for long term game preservation.

I don't know, excluding the lame ending I kind of enjoyed Double Exposure. The semi academic and winter setting kind of resonated with me.

That said I am not sure if Prime video is available in my region and I have no idea who Charlie Covell or what Story Kitchen is.

@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy I love Square but I am not that big of a fan of Chronotrigger. That said, since the Steam version is right there is no real reason not to release it in all digital platforms.

@Corc11 That is true. The first Rebirth trailer debuted in The Game Awards if I not terribly mistaken.

Now, the FFIX remake situation is a whole different story. I guess it was either cancelled due to poor feedback and / or moved in house. I don't see it coming any time soon.

Just beat the game in the Steam Deck yesterday. It is listed as not supported but works out of the box without changing any option better than games that are verified.

Anyway, as far as I am concerned the games is great. I have beaten the PS2 and PS3/Vita port back in the day and this version is the superior option. I went for the "Peace Walker" achievement and had a great time with the game.

That said when The Phantom Pain was announced, in anticipation, I played the whole Metal Gear Saga starting with MSS3, moving to PO, PW, GZ etc. until MGS4. It is funny having Ursula and Paz spoiling the whole Saga. Now the question is, do I fire Portable Ops or wait for the inevitable Vol.2 of the collection?

Is it to early for info for FF VII part 3?

Anyway this month I played Octopath Traveller 2 and really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the next game.

It wasn't always like this. I have the collector edition from the original Injustice and the Batman vs Wonder Woman statue is of very high quality. And I pre-ordered it for 90€ or something.

I finally couldn't resist and bought it on steam. Believe it or not it actually runs acceptably in the Deck with low settings. I am in the caves and the game feels more nostalgic than I thought.

It is up on Steam for 10€. The Steam store usually updates at 3 or 4 in the afternoon, central European time.

Wait, the stuff mentioned above are way worse than that possible performance issues. I mean it literally says "opening the radio might crash the game"!

Edit: I just read the review on this site. It says that performance in PS5 Pro is 60fps with rare exceptions and there are no "oblivion remastered" issues

Where did you find Cronos? I cannot seem to find it, not even in greenman.

Lol if you casually see this you may think is some spinoff where you play as Noctis. PC specs seem reasonable. Looking forward to some reviews. Still, it seems to be on the expensive side with 70€ steam preorder.

@shiningpikablu252 I have the Master System versions of MK1 and 2 (not 3 since I am from Europe) and the Game Gear versions of all 3 games. I have seen videos of the Master System version of MK3. It is basically as you describe a kind of zoomed out version of the Game Gear version of MK3 which is pretty bad.

Still, this collection is all about game preservation, so everything should be on the table.

I would just get the steam version so I don't particularly care but it is very strange to omit a PS5, hell even a PS4 release, since there are lot of fans of Japanese games in PlayStation.

So, no upgrade path if you have the base version... This just sucks...

I have not studied marketing but if they have the release date finalized why they did not announce it in the gamescom show, where more people were watching?

I know I sound like a broken record but I am not looking forward to this game. I am feeling the Trails fatigue. I am currently playing Daybreak 2 and I cannot shake the feeling that all this world building went nowhere with repeated storylines and villains that are either redeemed or having plans that go nowhere.

Fantastic package even if Gold is not added. I will be there day one. Of course there are more that they could one like the N64 version of Trilogy, or Master System or Saturn versions but the package is perfect.

I will get the digital version day one but I could also consider a physical version that is widely available and has all possible DLC and updates included.

@carlos82 Strange since both RE2 and 3 were free for me.

@Max_the_German It seems that third party publishers, except Capcom and Namco to an extent, do not care for this service. Others prefer to sell their retro games on all digital modern platforms as it is more obvious I guess.

I can confirm that both Resident Evil 2 and 3 are free if you have bought the older PS3/PSP/Vita versions in the past.

I still have my PS3 copies of both games. It would be cool if they both become available in modern platforms. I would love a more accessible version but I would also like for the Vita game to be ported.

@KeAfan7 Ryza 3 was an emotional ending to the series. However, it is my least favourite game if the trilogy. The open world does not feel that good in my opinion. Still, I highly recommend the game.

@PuppetMaster @DonJorginho Yeah, you are right. I tend to remember the bad cases like Anthem etc.

Who am I to judge but offering a trial may look like that the game is not selling that well.

That said, unless I am terribly mistaken, this game along with Demon Souls are the only PS5 exclusives. I liked DS1 but I am not in a hurry to get the second part. Seemed like the story was more or less over when I finished the first game.

Hopefully, I can add RE2 and 3 in my PS4 for free since I have the old versions. However, the addition of Ryza 3 baffles me, especially since the game is delisted soon.

I have sinked a lot of time in the Vita port. Feels like a million years away... I wanted to get a Steam version for accessibility but the game is "temporary delisted" for years because it uses windows live for net play...

@LikelySatan I totally agree. Sonya looks off in MK9 but I am not sure I like how she looks in 10 or 11 either. In 9 she looks like a WWE player but in 10 and 11 she looks like a short Barbie knock off. Her design in MK1 was closer to the OG MK but she is not playable for some reason.

@Lanmanna @LikelySatan It is not that I have done an extensive research on it. When MK11 was released parts of the fanbase were not pleased with the de sexualisation of all female (and only female) characters and because they made some of them act dump (for lack of a better term). Then in those old Reddit and forum board posts you could find relevant quotes from people that worked in the game aka that the depiction of female characters in older games was not good and they wanted to appeal to a more general audience etc.

I don't know what sense does those stuff make since this is Mortal Kombat not realistic fighting simulator.

I still have on display the Wonder Woman vs Batman statue that was included in the collector edition of Injustice. The first issue of the Year 1 was also included in said collector's edition and I paid 89€ for it. I don't even want to think how much an edition like this would cost today.

All Injustice comics are good in my opinion.
