PS Plus Extra, Premium January 2026 Available Now

Today's the day for the first PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium game update of 2026, with nine more titles coming to the two subscription tiers. They're all available to download now across the UK and Europe, and will be rolled out to the USA later in the day.

Unlike the base PS Plus Essential tier, these PS5, PS4, and Classic games are only playable while they are part of the PS Plus service. If they gain an expiry date further down the line, then you'll lose access to them at that point.

The general opinion surrounding this monthly game update seems pretty positive, with our own weekend Poll resulting in a 57% swing towards Push Square users being happy with the lineup. Only 7% of voters think it's a "crap selection", which is rather impressive based on past results. Big hitters like Resident Evil Village and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth must have won subscribers over.
