Ahead of its release later this year — it's currently scheduled for a vague 'fall' launch on PS5 — western publisher GungoHo has dropped a gameplay trailer for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter.
If you're already familiar with the Trails games then you'll know exactly what to expect from this anticipated remake — but the real point of this video is to show just how far the series has come.
The trailer cuts between footage from the original Trails in the Sky SC and fresh gameplay from 2nd Chapter, making for a truly crazy comparison. If you're a longtime Trails fan, it's almost surreal to see.

2nd Chapter looks to be following in the quite stunning footsteps of last year's Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. It's easily the best looking title that developer Falcom has ever produced, and its follow-up appears to be every bit as pretty.
