Cool, I can confirm that the games will be free if you have the old PSP, PS Vita, PS3 version.

I just got the platinum in RE4 Remake on PS4. To be honest the game runs great. It loads only when you lose or between chapters. I have also beaten most cross gen releases in the PS4 (Horizon FW, GOW Ragnarok, Miles Morales, RE Village) and others and I didn't think I missed much except the load times.

That said I have no idea about Star Wars, yet alone this game.

I voted for Cloud but I also have a soft spot for Lightning, she is very cool. I also enjoy the character journey of Cecil

@wiiware Obviously, in the end of the day it some criticism may be exaggerated for trolling of simply for fun but why it is so bad to critic artistic decisions, especially in iconic characters? Moreover, this "uglification" is slowly starting to become a norm...

@DennisReynolds Thanks, I didn't know that Direct Storage finally gets implemented. Strange to think that Microsoft hasn't used Direct Storage yet even though it is supported on Xbox.
This actually kind of explains the lack of a PS4 port, although they could still have done it somehow. They are many PS4 games that mask the load times, I play RE4 these days and the game only loads if you lose of between chapters.

Edit: OK on proper evaluation in still makes no sense. R&C is Steam Deck verified (i.e. playable from Micro SD card) and playable in Linux in mechanical drives and Linux obviously doesn't support Direct Storage...

@DennisReynolds It certainly strikes as old how a game only possible in PS5 can be played in PCs less powerful that the PS4 even if you factor the bigger development time. In any case it is still kind of cool playing PS5 games in the Steam Deck

Still the problem is that both Peter and MJ don't look like the comics or how they looked like in the previous game. Isn't Peter close to its thirties in this Universe, he looks younger than Miles!

Visuals were a step forward but even though the game is fun to play it makes you think that it is a bit unnecessary. Firstly, the bizarre trope to redeem the evil characters continues yet again.

What I did not like is that they threw Rean's social links in the toilet and flushed it, as was the trend with all Cold Steel games. There seems to be only very minor references to the woman you have chosen as girlfriend. I was not a fan of the Rean harem theme since some possible choices seemed way unethical and all other male characters were stripped of possible romantic interests but the game forgets so it doesn't really matter in the end.

The biggest problem with the narrative was that Crossbell seems to be taken by another force every other Tuesday. There is a rehash of storylines in Reverie. Crossbell doesn't look like how a moder country should function, even in the concept of "videogame logic".

@DennisReynolds I am not sure where the majority of the "core" MK fans hang out but if you go so subreddits etc. the reception to the guest characters is mixed. A portion of the fans clearly prefers characters from MK and not random guest characters. I get that they sell well but MK has a lot of iconic characters that are absent from one game or other. I mean, for example, Sonya is not yet confirmed to be in MK1 but we have Peacemaker so ...

As for those three it is not that they are Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. HBO is not available in a lot of regions. Where I live there is also no Amazon store and we only just have the video service since the launch of Lord of the Rings.

I still can't get why they announce DLC characters without us knowing the full roster. And I still think that most people don't know who those three are, I seriously didn't and checked them after the rumors. Also, I don't follow the MK fanbase that much but from the little I know they don't like guest characters, they want iconic characters from the series.

@get2sammyb I get what they try to do and I didn't want go sound negative, it's just I would personally prefer if the character faces, especially Peter and MJ, were more comic accurate.

The PS5 OS is still overwhelming and the games still do not update automatically if they are not in the home screen...
Moreover, you STILL cannot back up PS5 saves...

I have beaten this game in Steam Deck. It was fairly cheap! It is a bizarre game with good humor and pop culture references. I enjoyed it, although I loked Cosmic Star Heroine more.

I have the Game Boy game, it is basically a port of the NES game. However, I preferred the SEGA versions. SEGA stills owns those games, I don't see them included in this collection.

Wow, the first hour of the game does not good a good job of selling the game I think.

Anyway, I still enjoyed it this game. If you enjoy a good laugh, try playing the game offline from the PS4 disk without any patches. The game is hilariously bad without the first day patch. It plays in constant slow motion and has a massive input lag.

It is still on Steam. Apparently in PS4 it was published by Square Enix and was delisted after the contract ended.

It was a cool game but it had all the bad and good of the "Cinematic Platformer", very good visuals but junky controls. Still, this is not a novel idea, a Game Boy game or something like that. Why does it need Kickstarter and such a big amount in short time? I may have used Kickstarter to fund my projects also...

@BAMozzy I 100% agree. The only think physical has as an advantage it the sense of "ownership". You can sell or gift it etc. Most of the times a disk game is unplayable in an offline system which is one of the points of "videogame preservation".

The examples are countless. I have three PS4 physical copies of FF15 and not a single one has all the content in. The PS4 version of Callisto Procotol is full of bugs and the game plays in slow motion (!), Sonic Origins lacks the Plus content which is offered via ... a code, FF16 has a bug that shuts down the console.

As for the topic should I get a second PS5 for 450€ or wait for the new model? Surely though if I have bought my first PS5 with FF16 only to have a new model only one month later would anger me.

The games are OK, I always wanted to try Alan Wake, but I only have Plus because of cloud saves, I rarely play online or download the free games.

I am huge Final Fantasy fan it is my favourite series of all time. That said I didn't get a copy yet, I am traveling for work and PS5 is not a console you can put in a backpack. I hope everyone enjoys it, hope I will avoid the spoilers till I play it.

Preorder on Superstars, reminder that Origins Plus is in stores, Frontiers DLC... Lots of stuff to be somewhat excited about.

What I would personally love, that obviously is not going to happen, is another update in Origins Plus that adds the Master System games, the Knuckles game and the 16bit versions of Spinball and 3D.

Of course you need the power of next gen to play those old games. There is no way the games would run the the PS4. You need the cutting edge technology of the Switch and the SSD of the PS5 to play them.

I don't care for Spidey and Alan Wake, I am ready to return to Shadow Moses and in Russia with brand new trophies to collect. We don't have details yet on price and a possible physical version?

Edit: Just realized that my newest platinum trophies are in FF Pixel Remaster, Crisis Core and Sonic Origins... That's clearly not why I got a PS5 for but I always end up returning to the classics...

It looks cool. However, I know I sound like a broken record but why doesn't Sega simply port Outrun 2 to modern platforms?

I already have the game. The preorder copy arrived way early. The sound emulation has issues in the Game Gear games but playing as Amy is cool.

By the way the Plus content is a code in the box, it is not included in the disk!!!!

It happens. I already have the copy of Sonic Origins Plus. Many people got the new Zelda days earlier. You cannot control all retailers everywhere!

@mariomaster96 I meant in the default settings. In the default settings there is some sort of stutter in some indoor locations. I still have a blast though!

It is strange to see all those games that were only possible in the super mega force PS5 SSD playable on the micro SD of the Steam Deck. Final Fantasy 16 and Rebirth will be the next ones!

On a more serious note I love the Steam Deck and looking forward to more games. I played the Last of Us back in the PS3 but I don't really want to play it again. Now I replay on my Deck FF7 Remake, one of my favorite PS4 console exclusives. Performance is hit or miss but I have a blast taking Cloud and the rest of the gang on the road!

I love Ace Attorney. To be honest Apollo Justice is the weakest game in the series with unresolved plot points. But Spirit of Justice is a very good sendoff to the Ace Attorney cast and brings almost everything full circle, I love it and highly recommend it.

Just tell me the release date and the price! I will get the games day one.

@get2sammyb Isn't this different than the battle pass that has the DLC characters? I remember when I tried to buy the game it had an 100€ version with some pass with more characters. Or was this supposed to be a season pass?

It may be just me but the only multiplayer games I play are fighting and those very causally, I mostly stick to Single Player.

Capcom's confusing DLC method continues. In a year we will have the same mess as SF5.

I am not that a fan of Persona, I hate silent protagonists. That said I have played persona 1 up to 4 and I don't get why fans don't like The Answer that much. In any case, as others mentioned, Atlus will re re release P3 FES Remake to get more money from the fanbase.

Edit: In P3 if you go to have 2 girlfriends the one may catch you with the other in the mall and you can simply lie without any consequence! Not messed up at all!! In P4 you can have a harem without anyone noticing or caring and without any consequence. I think they should change this in the Remake

@MustachioFurioso I thought they were around the 20€ mark and you also have Microsoft exclusives, however few they are. The problem with me is that Cloud Gaming is not available with Game Pass in my region and, therefore, I cannot use the sub in the Steam Deck.

@SplooshDmg It is impossible to use USB to transfer PS5 only saves, only PS4. You also cannot move a save from PS5 to PS4 in cross buy games. If you could do it, I would have canceled PS Plus.

I get that they are afraid that you will use saves to hack the console but come on...

@ThomasHL From what I can understand they may have somewhat moved a part of the focus from casuals to sell PC games pass. There are a lot of potential customers out there.

To be honest I only pay PS Plus for cloud saves. I have had Game Pass from time to time.

I think Microsoft said that you will surely run out of people to sell subs to. So, after a while you may upgrade from a PS4 to a PS5 but you are not a new sub potential customer.

You can either try to increase revenue by tiers, like Sony, or try to go after PC users, like Microsoft.

I never thought Square would be casually trolling Final Fantasy fans in a daily basis. Or this is some kind of bad joke?

To be honest PSVR2 seemed like a PS Vita situation from the start, good hardware but not much first party content that will lead not selling good. I know that it has cutting edge hardware but it costs almost as much as a Steam Deck and a Series S combined. And if you don't already have a PS5 the cost in increases a lot. Therefore, I personally have no interest in one.

@Mad001 I think that both PS4 and PS5 don't play Compact Disks in a hardware level.

So, if we buy the games they will make sequels... Shocking!

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is 60 on Steam and 80 in PSN. I guess Green Man Gaming, Fanatical etc. will have it for preorder cheaper.
Also, and that is a literally question, how games that were possible only on the super fast PS5 SSD are now playable in mechanical drives and in the Steam Deck's SD card?
Seems like Final Fantasy 16 is now the one and only true PS5 exclusive.

Fighting games have moved to this "games as a service model". Mortal Kombat 11 was one of the worst examples with characters available only if you preorder, a bad in game money system, expensive characters from other media that the fan base did not want etc. At least they gave the PS5 upgrade for free.

Semi off topic, I went to check SF5 DLC characters that I may have missed only to see a total chaos!!! There are many versions of the game, tons of dlc that I have no idea what they are and they are so much that makes not wanting to bother to check more. I hope SF6 won't end up like this.
