Just look at the new gears of war: +400M budget with PS5 version cancelled, day one on gamepass and releasing during the october halloween bloodbath. It's being sent out to die.

Tbh after Starfield I don' really care for Bethesda games on the PS5

Never played Gears of War so it being cancelled is a meh event for me.

I was curious about Clockwork but tbh the trailer actually killed a little of the hype for me because it just looked like an unimaginative steampunk fallout.

State of Decay 3 is the one I was actually most impressed about so I was happy to learn this one is still coming.

I will say this again: this gen has SUCKED big time for first party releases. It's insane that ND hasn't released a new game since the Last of Us 2. That is just supremely bad management.

I hope it's on the same redemption path as the original, which really found it's footing and cemented its cult status with the dark arisen update.

Damn. I wasn't expecting much and Nintendo came out swinging with their Direct.

Safe to say this has been the best not-E3 week in years with the big three all having strong shows.

I'd say Sony should go scorched earth if MS wants to restart the console war and ban Xbox games on PS altogether. It's either all or none.

Lack of surprise is the general feeling I had because it was a VERY strong showing but we knew about most of these games already.

Imo the leaks did hurt it. Sony could've shown at least a couple of surprises with Rayman Legends Retolds & the aforementioned Mom of War.

I don't know if we should be worried about the lack of Intergalactic or Sony is just leaving it for the end of the year to let Wolverine shine. Probably the latter.

Should've made it part of the Returnal IP. Even if the story is disconnected the gameplay mechanics can be the connective tissue between installments.

@get2sammyb I always thought it had more potential if they leaned on the "all-stars" aspect of it and use Playstation characters competing in some crazy car combat competition.

I think that was the first real stumble of the PS5 gen and oh boy they kept on coming.

Tbh If I was Sony I'd be a little upset too but some of this blame also lies in Sony itself, and Hulst specifically with their ***** all-in strategy for live service games.

I don't get why Housemarque or Sony just called this Returnal 2 or Returnal: Saros.

The biggest Bungie mistake was making Marathon a live-service game.

I think it would've been way more hype to make it their first proper narrative FPS since Halo but unfortunately we still have ***** Hermen Hulst destroying everything from within.

Personally don't care. Xbox acquired all these great studios and IPs and have either done nothing with them or run them to the ground (arkane studios my beloved).

After Starfield I don't have much faith in Bethesda.

They can keep the exclusives but they are going to lose their best marketplace. Past couple of years have proven that their games sell better on PS because ps gamers actually buy games and don't expect everything day one free with gamepass like xbox users.

Considering that Disco Elysium is right up there with Baldur's Gate 3 as the most important CRPGs of the last decade (at least) following up was always going to be a tough act to follow, and with the messy aftermath at ZA/UM it's a miracle it's getting these reviews.

The "glass half full" of this situation is that we are getting a bunch of DE spiritual successors, and it looks like the first to come out is worthy of its pedigree.

Dev times are longer than the console cycles and stratospheric budgets are what's killing the industry.

I had a 4k samsung that died on me after 2 years this past christmas, pos just decided to die on me out of nowhere while I was watching it.
