PS Plus Game Skate Story's Latest Update Aims to Fix Egregious PS5 Pro Issues 1

Skate Story launched on PS5 earlier this month, and when it did, it landed straight into the PS Plus Extra game catalogue, meaning it fell into the hands of a lot of players.

Obviously that's a great thing for developer Sam Eng, but it was quickly discovered that the game had pretty severe problems on PS5 Pro.

While the game runs perfectly fine on a standard PS5 console, those with Sony's amped-up machine found a game with "extremely unstable and messy" performance, as Digital Foundry's John Linneman put it.

Word reached the developer, of course, and a week later, the latest PS5 patch (a measly 432 MB) targets these PS5 Pro issues directly.

Download and install update 1.006.000, and anybody playing on PS5 Pro should see a marked improvement.

Linneman has provided an update on his experience, saying "the game is now awesome on PS5 Pro," and ascribes the performance problems to "just a bug" that's now been squashed. "The game is amazing so do check it out," he says.

So, anybody on a Pro should get this update installed and give the game a second shot.
