EA needs to calm down like Ubisoft and consider the feedback they have been getting. Ubi is nearly off my boycott list due to the change in tack I have seen over the last year.

@Splat With Horizon, we got PS4 exclusive content paid for by Sony (possibly), the rest has so far been tie-ins for Capcom games to up-sell other titles to MHW players. Unfortunately, I cant see multiplatform non-Capcom third parties getting involved. I would love to be wrong though.

@NathanUC I believe it will be. The same with the Megaman Palico gear in the future. Hope these will be available as DLC missions in the future (maybe as a pack). I, personally, wont be buying games to obtain cosmetics.

@Rudy_Manchego That's where my head is at. Surely once the job is done, you move on.

I would like to see how they manage this generation of MH. Will they maintain the game as a platform for all future content, or continue with Ultimate/G editions of past. I presume the former.

I didn't buy this due to the performance issues going around. That and the save system. Hope both are fixed soon, as I do intend to buy the game. Such a shame after the love that was put into the atmosphere and the games systems.

Always brings back memories of my Dreamcast copy bugging out on me. Must have held that job at the docks for about two months. Fun times.

Stopped playing after completing all single player stuff aside from about half of circuit challenge. Don't fancy going back until the track roster has been expanded on.

Reminds me of Adventure Bar Story. Really cheap on iOS, so recommend picking that up if this sounds like your thing!

@ShogunRok I've checked twice and still cant see Knack 2 on the list for £15.99.

I want to look forward to games such as Anthem, but cant due to this rubbish. Just don't trust EA to do right by gamers.

I think the Internet has taken a lot away from the mystique of gaming, but also the enjoyment for me personally. It's completely my fault, but cant help but reading forums on games I enjoy and get anxious about not min/maxing stats, keeping up with the progress of others and accidently seeing screenshots of parts I haven't reached yet myself. Back then, it was a conversation point with friends. A new surprise around each corner. I believe the games are better today, but that apprehension and personal enjoyment has been reduced a little bit. Gaming just isn't as personal anymore.

@zazzy Hopefully. Looking at the MHW webpage, however, it looks like the next event has a bow weapon. Maybe there will be a third with another Horizon item. If it does rotate, it wont be for a while.

@Shepherd_Tallon What are your views on DVD stores like Blockbuster disappearing. I see this as an unfortunate, but unavoidable, step "forward".

I like the idea. I would never have thought that I'd stop buying DVDs and CDs until Netflix and Spotify. I see this becoming a popular option. Isn't this already a thing with Playstation Now (minus current gen games)?

As long as this isn't different in the retail release or "corrected in a day 1 patch" maybe wont be intrusive for some. Even so, I won't be buying with loot boxes in.

I enjoy the gunlance the most, even though I'm clumsy as hell with it.

@ToniK It was the atmosphere for me. The music and all the little details really bought the world to life. You could go to the town's arcade and play some SEGA classics, or you could buy a tape from the local store and play it on your Walkman.

I didn't recognise any of the monsters aside from Meowth. Thought we'd at least get to hunt a Bulbasaur in the Beta. May wait for the inevitable DLC to patch in the more well-known mons.

Not sure what to make of this. Looks like a lot of content, but not sure how they are different enough to want so many variants. I am a bit of a fighting game heathen though, so may just be my lack of knowledge.
