3 years since the PS5 was released and their system is still fully broken. Sony really is the worse when it comes to software. It feels as if they are still firefighting the mess they created when they rushed the PS5 release when the XSX was announced.

It will still be ported to the next 2 generations of consoles before GTA7 is released in 2038

@PixelDragon You are wasting way to much time trying to convince people brainwashed by the Church of Digitalism™. Common sense won't make them change their mind, and so many stupid articles about digital overtaking physical comfort them in their little digital world. I'm not even sure they'll change their mind when 2nd hand market and competition don't exist anymore and games cost over 150€/$ not including DLCs.

All digital future would mean all piracy for me. If I'm not owning anything, I'm not paying for it either.

I really hope it's like CP2077. A total wreck at launch that gets patched eventually. This way we'll have some fun news, the game will cost 20€ barely 6 weeks after release and be great a year after launch.

Hopefully he would also spend some of this hypothetical huge budget on printing the game physically.

I was never interested in dreams. Same thing with Mario maker. I just don't get the appeal of browsing thousands of bad games made by people as creative as I am (understand not at all) in hope of finding something entertaining for more than 5 minutes.

While I have no doubt the game is great and better than slogs full of macro transactions and DLCs (not included in the overpriced season pass) like AC Valhalla, what kind of director would say "you know what? My game is not worth the pricetag, you should wait for a discount."

I've played free mobile games over 10 years ago that looked and played much better than this.

some people were excited about this when the publisher only releases stinky turds. This reminds me of Balan wonderworld. Everyone was excited even though the first trailer looked like absolute crap.

They should buy GameMill. Having the latest King Kong dev would definitely be something. Also they can probably acquire it for less than 40$

I'll accept full digital if the base price for AAA games drops to 20€/$. If not, I'll only buy a console if I can hack it and get all games for free

Sony is about as good as Bethesda when it comes to firmware. My Sony TV crashed about once every hour after an update, and it took over 6 months for them to patch it properly and release a stable firmware.

Also everything was such a mess when the ps5 was released. They also destroyed their own website and made it much much worse.

So the console has the same pricetagw but you need to buy the stand if you want it vertical. They managed to further increase the price when a console is suppose to get cheaper over time.

I don't see a problem with a game coming on 2 disks. It's better than the Activision way with 70MB of data on a Blu Ray just to download the entire game. A complete edition should always contain the entire game, even if it has several disks.

I usually imagine every name with a thick Japanese accent and the deepest voice possible. It would be something like "Kaito Shitu!". It does make everything better... or maybe I've been watching too many anime lately.

I wonder if their certification is harder to get than in the past. They must have changed it somehow with games like Anthem which broke PS4s.

I borrowed HFW. It wasn't as good as the first one, but I wasn't disappointed since they tried something a bit new with the story. I'll wait for the complete edition to get much cheaper, so I can play the DLC.

I'd like to know the stupid amount of pre-orders, which are useless for digital version. I'll never understand why people are so eager not to own a game by buying it digitally.

They might want to stop making cross gen games before releasing a hypothetical PS5 Pro. I really don't see the point of releasing a boosted version when even Sony isn't taking full advantage of the normal PS5. Nobody expect consoles to be as powerful as a high end pc anyway.

Usually, the prices on Amazon tend to match the sales. I might pickup God of war ragnarok someday if it drops low enough.

Sales coming after a price increase always reminds me of a comics in which 1$ lemonade doesn't sell, but it sells instantly when the sign says: "80% off! Was 5$, now 1$ only"

It depends on the type of remake.

• Like Secret of mana = big no
• Like FF7R = not really interested in an episodic game that will be released over the course of a decade, or more
• HD2D = it depends whether they add something new, other than pretty graphics.

If it was for a Chono trigger remake, I'd say shut up and take my money for a full on remake AND a HD2D.

This is inaccurate. Syfy cancelled it after season 3 and the last 3 seasons were made by Amazon.

It's insane it took over a quarter of a century for Hollywood to figure out that hiring the right people (aka people who love the game), a good enough director (not Uwe boll or Paul ws Anderson) and having a sufficient budget were key to a good videogame adaptation movie or series.

They never gave it the right budget in the past, because everything failed, because everything they made sucked. I'm glad they broke that circle

It's the same with macro-transactions, pre-orders on games so unfinished you can't call it a pre-alpha version. People who buy and encourage these trends are the real problem.

Regardless of the reason, an indie dev should focus on the most recent hardware to make the best game possible.

I really don't like this console generations where most developers refuse to move on and drop 9yo hardware. If this continues, they will release cross-gen games on PS4/5/6

At least it wasn't held back to be compatible with old hardware, like HFW which has fog that magically appears only to hide all the details as soon as you are 10m above the ground so it could run on a PS4.

And if the sales aren't good, they'll blame the west and pat themselves on the back for not releasing a physical version. Why would they even bother with logic?
