Sony has sneakily added a new payment option to PS Store on PS5, and it's good news for iOS users.
Apple Pay is now available to use for purchases from PlayStation's digital storefront.
Those with iOS/iPadOS 18 or later will be able to take advantage of the new feature.
When you go to buy something from PS Store using Apple Pay, it'll present you with a unique code onscreen, which you then need to scan with your device's camera.
Follow the link that pops up, and you'll be prompted to use Face ID (or Touch ID) to make a payment with your active Apple Pay card.

It's always good to have more options, and the extra step using your device's identification tool feels like a more secure option than saving a card to your PSN account.

What an existential crisis someone is going to have when they try to buy a game but there face is rejected.

I love Apple Pay but it is a little too convenient, I need something that makes it harder for me to spend money!
As a staunch Android user and a hater of all things Apple I can guarantee this is something I will never try lol

I misunderstood the title at first. I thought it was about buying games with your face on them. That would be a very unsettling thing.

I don't use apple, but I like that it has an extra identification step.
Never have payment details saved so children, friend, gf w/e can accidentally buy stuff.

Damn right we do..... I hate apple products with a passion... My wife and daughter both have iPhones and I just point blank refuse to entertain the idea of having one..

As someone who has moved country, if this lets me make a purchase it’ll be great! My only option has been buying gift cards on Amazon. So this will be a great update if it works for me.
