Sony needs to be humbled by a bad generation of console. They really need a Wii U situation with the PS6. Something to almost kill the brand and even put them behind Xbox, so they have a motivation to improve and learn to respect customers.

No man's sky and Cyberpunk 2077 also went gold a month ahead of release. Don't get too excited.

That confirms Xbox is also going full digital. But even if Sony implements something similar, I'll just stick with my PS5 until I'm done with my backlog.

Once that's done, I'll enjoy gaming on Switch 2 and PC, and won't be tempted by Sony ever again.

@Anthony_Daniels You're missing the point. PC has several game stores creating competition, unlike Sony which will have complete price control on its platform.

I'd consider the PS6 if it accepts alternative stores like GOG, which is DRM free (download the game, keep it on a hard drive and play it on any device, whenever you want, even if the store closes). But Sony only wants full control and is counting on fanatics and other people who are loyal to a brand which treats it's clients like crap.

Greed > common sense.

1 billion players is a funny joke, but they could destroy sony easily if they do a reverse Xbox one and announce project helix has a physical drive and no DRM.

If I was a developer, I would probably only develop on systems I want to own. This would exclude Apple, Microsoft and Sony (starting in 2028).

I don't know about oblivion, but Skyrim never had a single bug fixes across multiple re-releases. I don't know why people keep buying Bethesda games, specifically those running on the (bug) creation engine.

I didn't need another reason not to buy a PS6. I might even buy my first Xbox if the keep physical games.

They should aim for mid November. It's pretty much empty, so it's a safe bet. I can only think of one small-ish game releasing in November.
