I think they are trying to copy the style of Mieruko-chan or Dark gathering (I'm not too much into horror, so these are the only horror anime that come to mind). But they lack the skills to make it visually pop. If the cel-shaded characters were 1% as expressive as Xenoblade chronicles or Fire Emblem, I would call this a success.

Also I don't see what part of Jujutsu Kaisen they used as inspiration. Curses maybe?

Japan has been riding so high in the video game industry in recent years, it's not even surprising a studio on the other side of the planet would try to imitate the style and setting its game.

That being said, this trailer looks soulless, and the cell-shading doesn't feel like an anime at all. The protagonist's dull face would pull me out of the game every time I see her.
