They didn't even release it at the same time as the PS5 remaster. Another case of a developer (probably because of the publisher) deciding to fix it later if players complain too much

@Flaming_Kaiser I guess you've never heard of optimisation for different hardware. Like some games run like crap on high end pc, when they run smoothly on much less powerful hardware like the PS5 and XSX.

Diablo 3 was a turd at launch. It also had the worst thing ever seen in a video game: real money auction house. And it's a Blizzard-Activision game created with another turd, bobby kotick, as the CEO. There is absolutely no way they won't force you to get your credit card to overheat if you want to enjoy endgame content.

This is the reason why I call the PS5 a glorified "PS4 Pro-Pro"

This reminds me of Xenoblade chronicles 2, when you had to open core crystals one by one with an awefully long animation, hoping to get a rare blade. I spent hours hitting A while watching TV series. They fixed it in a patch with bulk opening and animation skip, but it's still a huuuuge oversight from the developers. It's as if they never bothered to play their own game

They recently increased the price of the PS5 for a simple reason: greed. So if the PS5 pro was a thing, how much would it cost? 800€? I'd flip Sony off and use that money for a new GPU.

I borrowed forbidden west from a friend, so I won't buy the expansion if I don't own the game. I might wait for a complete edition at half price is the dlc is any good.

Under a mountain of dust, I have a pc with a CPU from 2012 and a GTX 970. I can most definitely run it in 8K/240fps, but I'm not willing to pay 80€ for a game I already own on PS4.

@TommyNL It's a British website. And don't mistake Europe for EU. Technically, Switzerland is also in Europe and was never part of the EU.

I like both open world and linear games as long as they are not boring or repetitive. Open world games that ask you to go from point A to point B with nothing interesting in-between are far worse than average linear games.

Regardless of the term, RPGs originated from Japan are pretty much a genre of their own. The term JRPG still makes sense as they are extremely Japanese and won't be enjoyed by people who aren't used to Japanese games. Same goes with Japanese animation, cinema, literature, food, etc. It doesn't mean it's good or bad, it's just specific and not to everyone's taste.

And what he says, not thinking about creating a JRPG, is like Indian not thinking about making Indian curry, or French people making French croissant/baguette/crêpe. But the country of origin is still useful to foreigners.

I hope there will only be dogs in FF17. Dogs are so much better than humans.

@ShogunRok They have cup noodle in FFXV, so Japan, the English language and mondialisation probably exist in FFXV. They might have a magic gate to UK's Midgard in FF7.

@rawzeku They never bothered fixing the missing door textures on FF7R. So I doubt they'll bother unless gettyimage gets on their case.

I was bored to death by the end of the game and had no interest in playing more of it with the DLCs, let alone new game +.

The big downside about NTSC is that "Welcome to the party NTSC" makes no sense.

@Keyblade-Dan It was ok, but far from great. Jedi academy was way more fun back in the days. I was expecting a lot more when some critics said it was "uncharted in the star Wars universe". The exact same thing made by the guys who made uncharted would have been a trillion times better.

@get2sammyb I was just thinking of the worst way to implement ads in a game. Although they could make free versions of existing games. It happened a lot on mobile over the last decade. I just hope it won't be the main business model on console in the future.

I can imagine an ad powered Elden Ring:

I really appreciate when studios don't share their game too early. It can't do any good to show gameplay footage, or fake gameplay footage like CP2077. This way they can change it freely to make it almost perfect (my expectations aren't low)

Hopefully we'll get something much better than fallen order. Cancelling the EA exclusivity deal was the best thing that could happen to Star Wars.

@trev666 EA could force bioware to release it 3 months from now. They released pre-alpha versions of ANTHEM and ME Andromeda as "final versions".

Developers test their own game, so they should know if it's any fun to play.
