Re: One of PlayStation's Best Developers Marks 40 Years of Incredible Games

@IntrepidWombat Amy Hennig current project: from targeting 2026 to delayed to unannounced date
https://www.gematsu.com/2025/11/marvel-1943-rise-of-hydra-delayed-to-unannounced-date

Amy left ND for almost a decade and since then she only did two thing: written Battlefield Hardline story, Forspoken story concept, and in limbo with Marvel 1943.

Meanwhile ND released Uncharted 4, Uncharted Lost Legacy, TloU Part 2, TloU Part 1 remake, and soon Intergalactic without her.

I have respect to Amy but some people overestimate her importance since ND is doing just fine without her.

Re: GTA 6 Delayed Again, Pushed Back to November 2026

PuppetMaster

@Actionhank89 Dan already left R* back in 2020. His last game with R* was RDR 2 which was a great game. Since then, R* didn't release any new game. I personally don't expect GTA 6 will be a good game when they can't even release one game in the last 7 year.

Re: Sony's Zelda Movie Starts Shooting in New Zealand

PuppetMaster

I just got home from watching Predator: Badlands and the movie has plenty of beautiful landscape which was shoot in New Zealand. I personally reccomended the movie. This is the 3rd homerun from Dan Trachtenberg after Prey and Killer of Killers.

I'm also quite curious for this Zelda movie. I'm not a fan of the series but i enjoyed and finished Ocarina of Time and A Link Between Worlds.

Re: Some PS5 Owners Might Be Paying More Than Others on PS Store

PuppetMaster

"In this instance, the user says, for them, the game is showing a price of $19.99. However, on their partner's account, the game is currently listed for $14.99"

Maybe the partner account sub to PS+ and the person doesn't know that PS+ gave more discounts?

Or regional pricing could be different too. Many games on Asia store are more cheaper than US / EU store.

Re: Study Claims Physical PS5 Games Are 100 Times Worse for the Planet Than Digital Downloads

PuppetMaster

Lmao. This is sounds like Barret preaching about Shinra harvesting Mako energy will kill the planet and Cloud just like "meh" 🤷‍♂️😂

Sorry to say but buying digital games will not save this earth either.

Heck. Three digital games was removed from my download list:

  • Chaos Rings I
  • Disgaea (PS2 Classic)
  • P.T

And i can't redownload some digital comics that i bought from PSP store because the store already closed down.

So nah, i'll buy physical games as long as i can.

Re: Remakes Eclipse Remasters for PS5 Gamers, Generate Double the Money

PuppetMaster

I prefer remaster over remake.

Not saying i'm against remake because some remake was great. But when comes to remake, usually the artstyle and gameplay ended up so different compare to the original game. While remaster usually the artstyle and gameplay are still intact.

Take MGS Delta for example. The artstyle has different vibe like a lot more cleaner / modern compare to the original game who had yellow'ish filter to give that 1960's / Cold War era vibe. And then Delta gameplay became less challenging because Konami added modern control like aim-assist, over the shoulder aiming, full strafing, crouch walking, and CQC counter but foolishly they didn't update enemies A.I to adapt with the new control / mechanic.

Re: PS2 Set to Remain King of Consoles as Nintendo Switch Sales Start to Stall

PuppetMaster

I don't care if Switch gonna pass PS2 numbers or not. But it's just weird how i feel the console doesn't has groundbreaking games as many as PS2.

I've seen people talk a lot about Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom. But it wasn't in the same level compare to how people talked about when they played GTA 3 / San Andreas, MGS 2 / 3, FF X, GT 3, SH 2, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus, Guitar Hero, Fatal Frame, DMC 1 / 3, or God of War for the first time.

Heck, i think EyeToy was quite groundbreaking with the camera-based gesture control system which "inspired" MS to create Kinect.

But i guess all current consoles looks pale compare to PS2 era when comes to creativity...

Re: Think PS Plus Essential's Monthly Games Are Getting Worse? The Data Shows You're Wrong

PuppetMaster

I don't put too much stock on what critics said.

Critics like IGN said Alien Isolation and God Hand are bad games deserves a 5 and 3 out of 10 score. If i followed what they said, i would missed out solid and fun games that actually deserves good score.

Critics also said Genshin Impact is a great game deserves 9/10 score. I played it for 3-4 hours and i don't think it deserves a 9/10.

For me, critics can be wrong especially when these days many of them are lacking the knowledge to judge games fairly 🤷‍♂️

As for Essentials offering, one of the reason why i didn't renew my sub because the offering became less and less interesting.

Re: This Underappreciated PS4 Fighter Can Be Yours for Less Than a Dollar

PuppetMaster

@RiotShieldsHurt Sorry to say this but i think you're not ready to handle different opinions and facts.

FYI. FEXL was launched full price at $60 and the less contents edition at $40. But it was more barebone than SF V at launch. Since then, Arika didn't do much to add more contents for the game. Eiher you like it or not, they deserves all the critics.

"What I do, instead, is enjoy the final result of a studio's work, whether perfect or not, instead of shi**ing all over it and comparing it to a different game."

Did i say you can't enjoy the game? No.

But i'm NOT you. I have my own standard as well every right to praise or sh*tting on games that i've bought.

I didn't even "sh*tting all over" the game. I said FEXL gameplay was fun and the netcode is solid. But unfortunate the game is barebone AF which is the truth.

Both Skullgirls and FEXL are fighting games with the same situation: small budget and developed by small devs. But one has more effort while the other didn't. It's a fair comparison.

If i compare FEXL with SF 6, that would be unfair because SF 6 makes FEXL looks like a elementary school project lol.

"I get it - you prefer Skullgirls"

It's clear that you didn't get it.

I love fighting games and i want devs to offer a good amount of contents as well solid basic features that can attract more people to play fighting games. It's that simple.

Skullgirls was one of good example. If Skullgirls as barebone as FEXL then i will say what i said about FEXL. The same can be say if FEXL has the same as contents as Skullgirls.

"You're trophy for doing so is in transit"

How unfortunate that you missed my points. But i guess i shouldn't expect much from a person who's not ready to handle different opinions and facts 🤷‍♂️

Again. Have a nice day 👋

Re: This Underappreciated PS4 Fighter Can Be Yours for Less Than a Dollar

PuppetMaster

@RiotShieldsHurt I didn't ask if you gonna enjoy this game or not nor i care if you can tolerate a fighting game with very barebone contents. That's irrelevant to this topic.

But if you don't want to speculate about what happened then you shouldn't replied to me and made excuses for Arika as if they're too poor to make better characters ending in arcade mode.

Again. If a studio like Lab Zero who's smaller and has less budget than Arika can developed a fighting game with good story mode and even a robust training & tutorial mode then there's no excuses for Arika. Period.

Have a nice day.

Re: We Never Got Rockstar's Agent Because an Open World Spy Game 'Doesn't Really Work'

PuppetMaster

@REALAIS "So you say that even bigger dev count could lead to more projects? Makes sense no?"

What makes no sense is R* has 2000 devs and they're only making ONE game in the last 6 years. Where's the old R* who made multiple non-open world games like The Warriors, Max Payne 3, Midnight Club, Manhunt, etc???

"Yes, R* has plenty of devs, but that is like one big team"

Last time i check R* has multiple studios like:

  • R* Toronto: The Warrior devs
  • R* San Diego: Red Dead and The Midnight Club devs
  • R* North: Manhunt devs
  • R* New England: Bully devs

I guess i missed the news when all of them got closed down or combine as one big GTA team. Oh well 🤷‍♂️

Re: This Underappreciated PS4 Fighter Can Be Yours for Less Than a Dollar

PuppetMaster

@RiotShieldsHurt If budget is the excuse then that's not a good excuse. An indie fighting game like Skullgirls not just has Arcade mode but it also has a dedicated Story mode that showed plenty of artworks & dialogues.

Not to mention Skullgirls also has a very robust Tutorial & Training mode which Fighting EX Layer lacks.

Beside, Arika can used crowdfunding / kickstarter if they don't have enough budget which sadly they didn't used it for whatever reason.

Re: If You've Never Played Fortnite, This Is the Season to Try on PS5, PS4

PuppetMaster

@TheArt "could've ignored the entire article"

Yes we could but here's the thing:

The headline of this article is "If you never played Fortnite, this is the season to try", followed with question "Are you hyped to explore Springfield in Battle Royale format? Drop at the Jebediah Sprinfield statue in the comments section below."

Sammy also used The Simpsons thumbnail which means the purpose of this article is to called out people who never played Fornite and The Simpsons fans to click and comment on the article.

So you should point your fingers on Sammy since he's the one who who wanted Simpsons fans and people who never played Fortnite to click and comment on this article.

I'm not sure why Sammy sounds annoyed with people who doesn't want to played Fortnite though. But i guess i will ignore more articles in PushSquare, not just about Fortnite.

Re: This Underappreciated PS4 Fighter Can Be Yours for Less Than a Dollar

PuppetMaster

Sadly this game is a ghost town for years.

I bought it from PS store sale back in 2020 after Arika patched the game with rollback netcode.

The netcode itself was pretty solid although no crossplay and gameplay was quite fun. But holy smeagol the game was barebone as F*!

I can't believe the arcade mode ending only showed a short paragraph of monologue with the character portrait 🤣
