I agree with you on the PS1. Sony didn’t have a bad first party lineup, but Parappa, Ape Escape and Gran turismo 1 and 2 were the only games that stand out as the system’s best.

It's saturday 7 am in my timezone. So i'll play:

• Doom 3 BFG edition / PS3
  I'm enjoying Doom 3 slowly like finishing one or two level per day. Currently at level 11 communication tower.
• Sonic Wings Special / PS3
  I need some dose of good ol shmup :3

Also, watching Lanterns and Batman: Knightfall part 1. DC are knocking out of the park with the show and animation. And i didn't know Aaron Pierre is a Brit. He did a great job as John Stewart 🫡

That 10 minutes of FF VII Revelation gameplay isn't in the top 5 most viewed videos? Wow i'm shocked. Like what happened? Did people lost interest with the game or what? 🤔

Anyway. From 5.1 million views to 2.9 millions views is pretty significant drop. I think safe to say the culminations of Sony unpopular decisions like killing physical games then goes long silent before came out arrogant "it's not gonna affect our business", closing down PS3+Vita store, closing down Bluepoint studios, removing purchased movies from customers library, heavy focus on live service games etc are starting to show some effect on the brand status.

That said, despite this SoP has some interesting new IP's like Rhapsody in Scarlet, Uncanyon, Daba, and Where the Seeds Fall, overall it was a pretty mediocre show.

I mean, started the show with Resident Evil movie trailer instead a game was a lame decision. Then wasted time on selling an expensive Lego PS1 brick and GTA 6 controller is just like come on man. The western side ended with a whimper with 10 minutes of FF VII Revelations that looks eh for me and also comes with the facts: if you want complete experiences then you need to pay more for two story DLC + still need to download a huge chunk of the game because it's only one disc.

@TheDarts For the note, i don't hate Pro Evo. In fact i'm one of longtime fans since International Superstar Soccer and Winning Eleven era. But i feel the franchise already left the glory days long time ago and the current Konami doesn't have the right talent to revive it. I mean, just look at how bad eFootball is.

So, it's okay if Konami took a detour with new IP's until they get the right talent to revive Pro Evo.

I like the simple but interesting idea of heading down the terrain. And it's only 3 hours long too which is a good fit for me who's tired with a lot of games these days that got unnecessary bloated and overstay their welcome.

@TheDarts I'm glad Konami didn't make another Pro Evo and decided to invest on new IP like this and Rev Noir.

@belmont I believe games that released in 2027 still can get physical release in 2028. But like i said, if Revelation didn't receive Intergrade / Complete edition then i'll get a second hand copy or maybe i just skip it and spend my money on other physical games. Beside, i already owned FF VII on PS1 and i feel i'm losing a lot of interest with this remake trilogy.

Tibetan mythlogy is really interesting and i wish more games / movies / anime use it. One of my favorite manga, 3x3 Eyes or Sazan Eyes, heavily used Tibetan myth such as Three-Eyed deities / Sanjiyan Unkara and Kunlun. Although the author mixed it with Hindu and Chinese myth.

I think i'll wait for "Intergrade" edition like they did with Remake and i bet there will be Trilogy bundle edition too. Just like Atlus, Square loves to re-release with complete edition and bundle.

But if there's none then i'll get it second hand. It's not like i'm hype with the game.

Where is Laufey? Intergalactic? God of War Remakes? They really need better PR rn.

• Laufey already got 20 minutes of gameplay demo + devs interview back in SoP June. It probably will have a dedicated showcase next january.
• They already said GoW trilogy remake development is still early. So we will not see it for a couple of years. At this rate it's safe to a assume they're aiming to release it for PS6.
• Intergalactic just wrap up all mo-cap session. Maybe we will see in december SoP?

The first time i watch this i thought it's For Honor sequel.

Barbarian and Weapons was great so I have faith with Zach Cregger.

But, as much as this movie looks promising for me and i get it Sony wants the synergy between Sony Pictures + SIE, started SoP with a movie trailer is just a really lame decision.

The initial trailer doesn't look "darker and grittier" and the current trailer still have the same vibe. I think you mixed up with Logan movie.

Funny i just finished Dino Crisis 2 on Vita like two months ago. Definitely will get it again since it's free.

They made mistake of showing the monster / creature at the end of the trailer, which i hope they have some twist.

I'm surprised that i got bored watching the 10 minutes gameplay despite i enjoyed Remake (not yet played Rebirth).

Something really turn me off. Maybe because those gazzilions of icons filling up the map / screen? Or maybe i'm just had enough of FF VII? Hmmm.....

SoP western was kinda okay borderline mediocre, i give it a 6/10. But SoP Japan was pretty nice, i give it a 7.5/10.

The lore has been set since Silent Hill 3 that the supernatural phenomenon can manifest outside the cursed town.

I think the combat in this game is going to be very repetitive considering Wolverine doesn't use gadgets to mix things up.

In the comic he sometimes used swords and guns.

And the last gameplay video showed environmental takedown and stealth. I say as long as the core combat is solid with a good variety of enemies type including interesting bosses, the combat would be fun from start to finish.

Unlike in fighting games, i bet parry in this game will be easier to do for everyone including the ones who sucks at timing.

Japanese games are keeping this gen alive imo.

This gen has plenty of very solid games by western devs. And for Konami case, their games like SH 2 remake, SH Townfall, and Castlevania Belmont Curse are also developed by western devs.

Most people will not read that longass EULA pages just to find out that they spend money for a temporary license to play a game. They only understand if they spend $50-100 that means they buy + owned the game, not renting.

But this is why digital only future is wrong and sadly a lot of gamers agreed with that sh*tty future. They're okay losing buying options and spending $80-100 for a temporary license that can be revoke by publishers anytime they want.

Can i expect a remaster for Mega Man Legend or some cult classic like God Hand, Haunting Ground, or Viewtiful Joe?

@Sonofken I believes some of SE games like Dragon Quest and Octopath sold a lot more on Nintendo than PS.

And after SE president blame PS5 low install base for FF XVI & Rebirth missed target sales which leads to their full multiplatform route, SE games was completely absent at SoP February and June but they appeared at two Nintendo directs. It gave the impression that SE are done with Sony.

@DadJKP I'll tell an easy solution: if someone feel TloU 2 killed / burned every last hype and interest towards ND then it's time for them to move on from the studio. Just walk away and no need to look back while keeps acting as if ND slaughtered their family or forced them to vote for a dictator who bombed hundreds of innocent children.

@CP2 I guess these people who already judge the character as "unlikeable" without any positive traits from a few seconds of the trailer needs to do: 1) stay away from this game and go find games that fits with their taste or 2) calm down and wait until they get their hands on the game to see more.

Yeah. And we got plenty of video game characters who's acting smug like Duke Nukem, Bayonetta, Johnny Cage, Kratos, Travis Touchdown, Ken Master, Liquid Snake, Albert Wesker etc and people loves these characters.

So i don't get the complaint as if god forbid a video game character show some personality like acting smug, arrogant, or cocky at specific timing. It would be dull af if all characters behave like a boy scout 🙄

A bit dissapointing with no death traps and few puzzle. But i guess Capcom wants to clear up Onimusha image from "Resident Evil with swords and samurai". Oh well, i will still get this game whenever i have the time and money.
