Yotei was Sony second fastest selling game since Spiderman 2 and it outpace Tsushima in the same timeline. Sony was happy and claim it as a huge commercial success in their financial report. The game only cost $60 million and it already made them profit from the 1st month. The noise in the media? You mean last month it got multiple nominations including GotY in TGA? And this year when Legend mode released it definitely will get more noise?

Hellblade 1 was a commercial success. It broke even in 3 months and after that it made profit. Ninja Theory fully paid for the devs cost as well published the game by themself. No report about Hellblade 2 but if it's a flop the blame should be on MS.

For a new IP, selling 5 million copies alone is a great achievement. Now compare Control numbers with some Nintendo games like Xenoblade 2 who has big booba anime girls and Bayonetta 3 with sexy Bayo, both games only sold 3.5 million copies combine for their lifetime sales aka they sold a lot less than Control 😊

With all these proof, i think it's crystal clear that games with booba and asses alone are not enough to sell a game and games with normal looking female protags / dude can still sold well even better than games that rely on booba and asses.

I got my 1st platinum trophy for this year with Samurai Aces II: Tengai. I already got the plat on my US account but i really like the game so i plat it again on my Asia account.

Anyway. I'm playing Ys: The Oath in Felghana on Vita with Hard difficulty, FF IX HD, and Detroit Become Human which i'm surprised no PushSquare staff make an article about the game latest sales numbers at 15 million copies.

Outside that, i'm watching Fallout season 2 and it makes me uneasy that we could get the real Fallout after what Orange Man has done lately. sigh...

Last year i finally finished the first game on PS3 and after i get the full picture of the story, characters, gameplay, and music, i changed my judgement from "it's the worst mainline FF i ever played" to "it's actually a pretty decent mainline FF". From 6 out of 10 to 8 out of 10.

I tried XIII-2 and Lightning Returns but i didn't like it. They just doesn't have that "i think i will give this game a second chance" feeling like the first one. It's the same as X-2 which i also didn't like and never bother to finish it.

I still have my copy and PS3 slim so i can replay it whenever i want. But a remaster would benefit for some people who never played but interested to try it...

Everything looks shiny and colorful.

@ColKojakSlapheadIII Yeah it's "Andore" since he wears purple clothes. Hugo wears pink clothes. But i'm not surprised if a lot of people think Hugo and Andore as the same character. Both are from the Andore family though.

This kinda reminds me of Ryan Gosling Drive and yeah it looks pretty cool.

I just watched TheRadBrad playing this game and i thought it was a demo because it looks super janky and stiff as hell like the 1st trailer. But the video said "full game" lol.

Anyway. I've said it back then that people should just get Dino Crisis 1 and 2 over this game, which based on this review i was right.

I really like the characters, story, and the message from that ending.

And i also agreed with you that not every story or characters needs a sequel. I feel Max and Chloe story especially Chloe already finished beautifully with that ending. What happened to Chloe was needed not just to save Arcadia but also to give Max a solid character development.

Yeah there's a lot to work here especially the sound effect, animations, and UI.

But so far it looks pretty nice, like a legit spiritual successor for Parasite Eve. From the ATB combat, the monsters, and Aya's long lost sister haha.

The only Wolfenstein game i ever played was Return to Castle Wolfenstein on PC like two decades ago and it was pretty good like Doom but with nazis & zombies.

But i think i've played Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus demo. The gunplay felt solid but i don't have any clue about the story. I didn't see any zombies or supernatural stuff either.

I never played other Life is Strange games so i can't comment about them. But I really enjoyed the first one and i picked 'Sacrificed Chloe' which i personally believe as the best ending. Sometimes we wish we can turn back time and do different thing. But it's best to accept reality and move on. With this sequel, i guess that wasn't the canon ending huh?

The weird thing about these AI garbage is no one, not Sony, Nintendo, MS, Steam, or Google, do something to block or removed it from their store. Is it because they're "indies"?

I have two reaction for this news:
1. It's nice to see one of the best FF in the series still loves by million of people despite the game is almost 3 decades old. But like the old man said, a masterpiece is timeless 😀

2. It's sad to see very talented devs like Yasumi Matsuno didn't get enough chance to shine since he left Square. I love what he did with Crimson Shroud (very reccomended if you own a 3DS) and Tactic Ogre: Let Us Cling Together remake for PSP. But outside those, it feels like he just didn't do much to flex his skills compare to what he does with Vagrant Story, FF Tactics, and Tactics Ogre. The guy is an excellent game director, game design, battle design, and scenario / writer.

As a Suda fans who enjoyed / owned a copy of The Silver Case, Killer is Dead, NMH, Shadow of the Damned, Liberation Maiden, Sine Mora, and Let It Die, I already put this game on my buying list since the 1st trailer 😀

FYI. Ghost of series, a 5 years old series and only have 2 games, is currently at 16 million copies and each game "only" cost at $60 million to developed. I bet Nintendo would love to have IP like Ghost of series considering it generated very good revenue and sold more than some Nintendo long running series such as:

• Mother / Earthbound at 1-2 million copies
• Xenoblade series at 9 million copies
• Punch-Out series at 5 million copies
• F-Zero series at 6 million copies
• Fire Emblem series at 14-15 million copies

@MrPeanutbutterz Completely agreed with you that Sony and Nintendo are competing directly. I just don't get why some people keeps saying otherwise just because Switch 1/2 is a hybrid and not as powerful as PS4/5.

I'm not yet played the game but i voted T2D. Not just it looks great but the devs put a little twist with the alternate timeline / what if scenario that added more replay value

Funnily, i saw David Jaffe video title "Stop! Don't buy this Terminator game!" where he bought T2D, refund it, bought it again, doesn't reccomended the game without saying what's exactly the reason people shouldn't buy it, and then reccomended Neon Inferno and Iron Meat. The guy is really going senile 😔

I'm not sure what kind of "accessibility" that Hashino wants to try in order to attract "wider audience" and in the same time "evolved" JRPG.

I mean, current JRPG games already very accessible and very easy to play for anyone to the point it's not that challenging compare to old games. There's a lot of handholding and features that treated players as if they're too young to play the game or have short attention span.

But maybe this is why i felt meh after playing Metaphor demo nor i feel excited for Atlus next games...

1. As usual, i try to finish more games from my backlog. Last year i think i managed to finish 5-10 games? My total backlog have around 100 games across multiple PS's.
2. Buy a PS2 fat. Mine was broken years ago and i'm itching to play some games that still stuck on the hardware.

I think i voted for Wolverine, Saros, PB0, Onimusha, and RE9/Pragmata/Ace Combat. Not surprised with Wolverine at no 1 beaten GTA 6.

I think GTA 6 lost a lot of its hype after delayed and rumor that it will be price at $100. But i'm sure it'll sold like hotcakes whenever it comes out.

Man, i really miss Ys series and Falcom games from this early 2000 era 😭. The chibi 2D sprite, the character design that looks simple but immaculate, the old man narrator, and solo Adol kicking ass everything without talking like current Adol.

Also. I wish more RPG follow Ys higher diificulty. Not just the enemies have more health but they especially the bosses have different move sets + more agressive when their health bar down to half. I got my ass kicked many times by the first boss lol. Currently i'm at lava cave fighting the fire eater Guilen.

It's nice to see Atlus started this year and 30th anniversary of Persona series with another Persona 5 milking and it's a fitness game + exclusives to Switch too. Great job Atlus! 👍👍
