Re: Here's Your First Look at Sony's Zelda Movie, Film Shots Revealed

PuppetMaster

Is this Link & Zelda based on BotW?

Obviously no actors / actress who can perfectly match Link androgynous face or Zelda pretty face. But i think they looks pretty good in that shot.

But honestly, i'm more interested if they make a Metroid movie. Of all Nintendo IP's, Metroid is the only one that i really want to see on the big screen.

Re: 'Very Vague' Rumour Claims Sony May Scale Back PC Ports of PS5 Games

PuppetMaster

@UltimateOtaku91 "Is it so bad for people to want console gaming not to decline and stay relevant? We are already seeing physical slowly die off, and cloud streaming becoming more of a norm, so the last saving grace is traditional consoles still being highly sought after."

This 🤝

I'll stop gaming the day publishers completely kill physical release on traditional console.

Re: Mobile MMO Horizon Steel Frontiers Seems to Have Captured Lots of Attention Already

PuppetMaster

@Max_the_German That's not how business works.

If this game printing money for Sony & Guerilla then the 1st thing they'll do is greenlight MORE Horizon games either by Guerilla, NCSoft, or other 3rd party and port Steel Frontier to PS5. There's no reason for Sony to ask if Guerilla project doesn't deserves additional money when Guerilla themself was the one who proposed both projects and brings the money.

And with Horizon popularity, i think Horizon online by Guerilla will become a success too. So far no games on PS5 that let you hunt giant robot dinos with friends. People who loves MonHun as well Horizon will try both games whenever they available on PS5.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 607

PuppetMaster

@TimeDelayedGamer True. Kinda weird there's a shortcut for chain abilities, break arts, or magic by pressing L2. But there's no shortcut to swap weapons. If someday SE make a remaster, i hope they put weapon shortcut.

@Michael2008ish It'a nice to see some people in PushSquare recognized and enjoyed Resonance of Fate 😊🤝

And yeah it got niche to unknown status because Sega didn't throw a good marketing behind it. And they also released it a week after FF XIII came out when people are still hype with FF XIII 🤦‍♂️

Re: Talking Point: Will PlayStation's Mobile Push Be a Success or a Flop?

PuppetMaster

I'm interested to try both games but my old phone definitely isn't compatible or can't run them lol.

I think both games will do well if Sony do the right marketing. I can see Steel Frontier doing really well in Japan / Asia because gameplay looks kinda similar to Monster Hunter.

And i prefer Sony do this mobile approach with new titles collab with 3rd party devs rather than wasting their resources to port their 1st party games for PC then got review bomb or boycot by PC mustard race.

Re: 'Very Vague' Rumour Claims Sony May Scale Back PC Ports of PS5 Games

PuppetMaster

While Steam Machine isn't really a threat, it's best for Sony to keep their 1st party games as 100% PS console exclusives. Not just it gives more reasons for people to buy PS5 and future PS console but Sony doesn't need to waste their resources for PC port.

But I'm pretty sure i've read a recent interview where Nishino or Hermen said they're gonna slow down and more selective on releasing their 1st party games for PC.

I mean, Astro Bot would release for PC this month or at least Sony showed the trailer if they didn't slow down their PC port. Add that to the fact that GT 7, Demon's Souls remake, Bloodborne, Uncharted Drake's Collection, Sly Cooper's, Jak & Daxter's, Medievil remake, GoW Greek Saga, Wild Arms, Shadow of the Colossus, Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice and plenty of 1st party games are still fully exclusives to PS3/PS4/PS5/Vita.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 607

PuppetMaster

@Perturbator Yeah the combat mechanics needs some time to get used to and later there's a pretty high difficulty spike too. Some bosses was quite nasty lol.

It's the reason why i keep visiting Arena to refresh my understanding about the mechanics and also play Battle Challenge which i think quite important not just for the nice rewards but also for experimenting what's the best strats to approach some enemies.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 607

PuppetMaster

@TimeDelayedGamer Yeah Vagrant Story combat & weapon mechanics are quite complex and could give you a big headache if you don't have enough patience. But once you fully understand and mastered the mechanics, it's just super fun to play.

One thing that i reccomended to do:
you need at least 3 weapons in your disposal

  • One Edged
  • One Piercing
  • One Blunt

You can upgrade the elements that increased damage against human, beast, undead, phantom, dragon, and evil enemies.

I've beaten Vagrant Story like eons ago. I think i spent around 30-40 hours with the game. So good luck mate 👍🍻

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 607

PuppetMaster

Playing:

  • Wild Guns Reloaded (PS4)
The physical copy for this game became rare. I searched for second hand but not a single local sellers have it. So i bought a brand new copy for $23 after i asked 3-5 online sellers and only 1 had it. It's worth it though.

This game not just really fun and the 2D sprite looks gorgeous but it's also quite challenging. My ass got kicked even with Easy difficulty. It took me like 1-2 hours with many continues to beat Normal difficulty. Now i'm trying to beat Normal and Hard difficulty without a single continue. I really reccomend it for anyone who wants to play a really fun but challenging shooting gallery 👍👍

  • Resonance of Fate / End of Eternity (PS3)
It's quite sad how underrated this game is. The setting is quite unique but the combat mechanics is really fun and innovative, imho a lot more innovative than current turn-based RPG's like Expedition 33, Baldur's Gate 3, or Metaphor that it feels like they didn't took any risk to innovate but somehow got a lot of huge praised. I think Resonance of Fate are in top 3 for Tri-Ace best game.

Anyway. This game has been sitting on my backlog for quite long. Years ago i reached Chapter 9 but my PS3 HDD was broken and wiped out the save files 😔. So now i want to finish it. Currently at Chapter 2, on the way to Hughes Power Station.

Outside gaming, i'm currently watching Last Samurai Standing. Just finished with episode 1 and it was great. Anyone who wants some samurai live action that looks kinda similar to Samurai X, i think this show is worth the shot.

Have a great weekend everyone 🍻

Re: Steel Yourselves: The Game Awards Nominees Are Being Announced Imminently

PuppetMaster

@Fishmasterflex96 "buddy I bought Yotei and love"

Sure buddy.

"The reality is that there’s a lot of games that reviewed better then Yotei and it probably won’t get in"

What reality are you talking about here buddy when there's no announcement what games who got in or out.

"buddy out here acting like I’m the crazy one but has takes like this lol"

Buddy, you sound insecure af for a guy who claim bought and love Yotei. You calling names and even go this far to reply me twice for your baseless prediction. Are you okay buddy?

Re: Steel Yourselves: The Game Awards Nominees Are Being Announced Imminently

PuppetMaster

@Fishmasterflex96 "i need the lot of you hardcore PS fanboys to realize that Yotei isn’t gonna got a GOTY nomination"

We'll wait until monday. But if it received GotY nomination then what are you gonna do, sucker punch yourself? Sell all your PS console & games collection? Or what?

It's just funny to see some people have a lot of hate and anger over a fking video game 🤣

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's Single Player Campaign Is Being Torn Apart

PuppetMaster

"For example, even when playing solo, you cannot pause the campaign at any point. Perhaps worse, there appears to be no checkpointing at all, meaning you have to restart a mission if you quit out."

Lol WTF is happening with Activision? It seems they're getting worst under MS 🤣

@OldGamer999 I think your suggestion wouldn't work for CoD rabid fanboys. And there's a ton of kids with PS5 who doesn't care about this news and they will buy this game and play it with their friends.

For me, the last time i bought a CoD game was Black Ops 1 on PS3. Since then i never buy any CoD but i've played some from PS+.

Re: Poll: Does the Steam Machine Pose a Threat to PS5?

PuppetMaster

I'm not interested since i'm done with PC gaming for years and i really doubt this is a threat to PS or even Switch.

I'm not sure who's the target audience for this either. Anyone who has Steam account pretty much owned a PC rig or Steam Deck.

But i guess this is one of the reason why Sony said they're gonna slow down and more selective on releasing their 1st party games for PC.

Re: Steel Yourselves: The Game Awards Nominees Are Being Announced Imminently

PuppetMaster

I doubt NG Ragebound or Shinobi: Art of Vengeance gonna win something let alone got nominated.

I guess i'll vote either DS 2, Yotei, or NG 4 to win GotY or whatever category they got nominated. But i doubt they win something either since the media hyped a lot of Expedition 33, Silk Song, and Kingdom Deliver 2 which i don't play nor care about them.

Sooo...meh. Just give me a new trailer of VF 6, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, and Intergalactic.

Re: Here's Why Sony Is Making a Japan-Specific PS5 Console

PuppetMaster

I applause Sony's effort to gain more sales in Japan. But i think Japan is a lost cause for home console market.

The era where Japanese bought home console like PS1 & PS2 era already long gone. I can boldly claim home console in Japan will become niche like Arcade cabinets.

Right now Japan goes full handheld & mobile which really fits with their lifestyle. If Sony wants PS to gain a big foothold in Japan again, they need to make PS6 like Switch; a handheld x home console hybrid. But that means PS6 will be a direct competitor with Switch 2, which will be difficult for PS6. The time PS6 release in 2027, Switch 2 already sold a ton in Japan and probably the main choice for Japanese devs...

Gamers are funny creatures 🤣

Re: After GTA 6 Delay, Wolverine PS5 Doubles Down on Fall 2026 Release Date

PuppetMaster

@Leinad7 "The combat in Wolverine looks like the combat in SM2, combos and attacks combinations plus QTE. I bet they will use the same control pattern and button setup."

Nothing look from SM 2. Spiderman didn't slice or decapitate his enemies like Wolverine did.

And QTE has been around for years and used by a lot of games. It's not exclusives to Insomniac / Spiderman games.

"I was rather expecting something more dark, cold, brutal like the Wolverine 2013 or Logan 2017 movies"

You need to rewatch cause both movies still looks colorful. But this Wolverine isn't from the movie universe or even an old man like in Logan. So there's no reason for Insomniac to copy / follow the movies.

"they decided to develop a generic colorful Marvel/Spiderman world"

Since when colorful means "generic" like did you ever read Marvel comic book???

And most if not all Wolverine comic books looks colorful including the best runs by top notch author like Chris Claremont, Mark Millar, and Frank Miller. But i guess you're too young to remember them or you're never read any Wolverine comics at all 🤷‍♂️

Re: PS1 Classics Aquanaut's Holiday, Tail of the Sun Will Be Revived, But Not on PS5

PuppetMaster

@AK4tywill "If they have a resource problem, they should build another team apart from Implicit"

Adding more people isn't the answer when the licensing process still takes times. This is what Sony representatives said when they got asked why there's only a few PS1 classic on Vita store.
https://www.gamesradar.com/sony-explains-why-so-few-psone-classics-are-available-vita-us-store/

Re: The Next Horizon Game Is an MMO by NCSOFT for PC, Mobile

PuppetMaster

Just watched the trailer. It looks pretty good although it feels weird to see the characters face looks more Asian than the usual Western / European face haha.

PS5 version probably will come one year later with all updates.

@KawakiisaFraud "I never thought we'd see the day a PlayStation franchise skips the PlayStation console"

This isn't the 1st time. There's GoW: Betrayal, Run Sackboy! Run!, Wild Arms: Millions Memories, and Arc the Lad R are some games that was released for mobile only years ago.

The PS5 version probably will come a year later. But if not, we will still get the main game. Honestly, it's not a big deal.

Re: PS5 Is the Second Fastest Selling PlayStation Ever in the US, Despite Price Hikes and Production Issues

PuppetMaster

@nomither6 Those problems did exist and well documented. And I have a friend who's a big AMD fanboy + PC master race and he despised game console. He thinks people overblown PC problems but he keeps complaining to me about his expensives PC rig got problems lol.

@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah it's nice to know that PC gaming still has the same BS from 10-15 years ago. But i think it's worst right now that people got baited to spend $1000+ if they want smooth gaming experiences.

I myself used to owned a PC rig good enough to run Crysis 1 at mid setting. Then came The Witcher 2 and somehow my rig can only run it at low setting. So i upgraded good enough to run Witcher 2 at mid-high setting. But somehow some of my old games didn't work because they're not compatible with new graphics card. At that point, i just had enough and stick with PS for my gaming needs.

I think i spent more than $600-700 for that rig, felt as if i wasted good money that i should spend for games on console.
