Is Elden Ring Nightreign FromSoftware's most divisive Souls game yet? Probably, and that's what makes our latest ratings poll so interesting...
Released for PS5 a couple of weeks back, Nightreign (which, admittedly, we keep spelling incorrectly for some reason) is a co-op-focused escapade, where up to three friends — or strangers — team up to tackle increasingly dangerous bosses across chunks of Elden Ring's grim world.
As alluded, we've read many opposing opinions on this one. We've seen it called everything from a misunderstood multiplayer masterpiece to a disappointing cash grab, while many simply don't want to see the Japanese developer branch out into a live service model.

The critic reviews were largely positive, at least. We gave it a 'great' 8/10 in our Elden Ring Nightreign PS5 review, calling it "a very interesting game that’s likely going to divide FromSoftware fans". No kidding!
"While we don’t think it really holds a candle to games like Dark Souls 3 or Elden Ring, it isn’t really trying to. This is basically FromSoftware having some fun with its IP, and with a squad of friends, Elden Ring Nightreign is a blast," we concluded.
